Appointed by a Republican board to seven year terms. No one can remove him except this board. This is a good example of why every election matters because of the appointments that are made. Appointments can last longer than the appointing administration. There are grumpier lurking in every branch and agency of government right now. That's why so much stuff gets slow walked. DOJ is full of them. The 2010 midterm was the election that people sat out and put us in this mess. Elections matter. Every one of them.

Most countries do that right, as did the US, the Republicans dont seem to like that. Worldwide, so long as the mail in ballot has been accepted by the mail service (Stamped/Scanned as received) it is counted, even a week later. What Trump is asking for is BS, plain and simple. The Democrats have literally attempted to cheat half the American people out of their right to have their candidate on the ballot. Most people think the 2020 election was rigged (Rasmussen), and Jan 6 was ruled to not be an insurrection (FBI).The full audits of the disputed ballots in the battleground states was never done, AG Barr blocked 3 investigations that had already started, etc. If the Dems are not going to stop screaming about insurrection or "election deniers" regarding 2020, they are in no position to demand that advocates for election integrity "move on" from the 2020 issues. As a veteran who was serving to protect the right to vote, I voted absentee for every election that happened during my time in service. It could take more than three weeks for mail to reach me while deployed aboard ship in the North Arabian Sea or Persian Gulf, and it could take the same amount of time to return mail back to the U.S.
To deny service members the ability to have their vote counted is criminal.
It is nullifying the very people who serve and protect for America, and global stability, makes zero sense, except the corruption is out of control. Thank you for your service. 💙🇺🇸💙

They are 3 of the main states that have never impacted a Presidential election. Simply put never in American History has the EC votes from those states ever effected a presidential election. Even more simple never has the EC votes from these states pushed a president over the 270 or prevented one from reaching 270.

I live in Denmark and I can vote by mail but mailing my ballot even weeks before election day and definitely postmarked before the close of election night may or may not arrive on election day. Americans have a right to vote and be counted
Trump doesn't give a shit about the military he calls them suckers.
On the other hand, that means that there won’t be a result for weeks. A system where they could mail the vote to the embassy by election day or one day prior and have them submit the results could make sense.
About the military: Communicate clearly and give them the chance to vote until whatever day is needed so that the ballot will arrive in time.
Here in Switzerland (one of the most democratic countries), we also have to make sure that everything arrives in time. And yes, people living anywhere in the world also have difficulties voting in time. But the US has the biggest embassies in the world in most countries. Use them.
I vote four times a year, always by mail. We get everything by mail without ever asking for it, and I think that’s the way to go.

This is wrong on so many levels!!! I am a 61-year-old single mother who has voted during every election campaign since I registered to vote when I turned 18. My son is 41 years old and is permanently paralyzed from the waist down, and he can not get out of bed without help. I am the only caregiver he has, and we live over 3000 miles away from family and friends.
What will they do if I cannot go out to put his mail-in ballot until election day? They will not count because he can not walk to cast his vote at the polls. This will affect elderly and disabled people who have to rely on people to help them get dressed and out of the house to go vote on election day. Many people have no one to help them get to polling places until after 5 pm.

Email your congressperson, perhaps. Your son must be allowed to vote. (There must be GOP disabled people who will also be affected.)

It's simple. If a ballot is postmarked by election day, it should count.

I am the daughter of a 30-year Navy man, the mother of now disabled Navy veteran and the niece of two other Navy veterans along with a cousin to another one and I worked for the US Navy as a nurse. I'm now very severely disabled and I'm sorry but they can kiss my butt because we have earned the right for me to have a mail in ballot.

I work as an election worker and on voting day I start at 5:45 AM and get done around 10 PM so I have voted by mail for years in Minnesota and it has never been a problem. I’m so sick of people who have no clue as to the incredible safeguards in place to protect votes, accuse me of not doing the job that I have volunteered for for years. The people who accuse others of cheating, you may do that in your personal life and feel it is OK to cheat people, but not everybody thinks like you. I have never worked with an unethical election worker. We all take this duty, very seriously and follow the letter of the law.

And it requires an absolute majority vote to have him removed.
Some positions do not end with the turnover of Presidential terms.
