The "donosaur" is a frilled neck lizard. Small and harmless. The frill is to try to make it seem bigger to things trying to eat it. The spider that frightened you is not in the outback at all. It's a funnelweb spider and lives in abundance in Sydney. Very venomous. But they tend to leave you alone and prefer the outdoors. The free sunscreen is only on popular beaches with high population.
