The "donosaur" is a frilled neck lizard. Small and harmless. The frill is to try to make it seem bigger to things trying to eat it. The spider that frightened you is not in the outback at all. It's a funnelweb spider and lives in abundance in Sydney. Very venomous. But they tend to leave you alone and prefer the outdoors. The free sunscreen is only on popular beaches with high population. It isn't everywhere. "Kiwi" is a New Zealand bird, and that nickname applies only to people from New Zealand, which is a different country. If you meant "Tiwi", and you misheard the word, we have the Tiwi islands with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders north of Darwin. The video was a few years out of date. Our population is now about 25 million.

I'm honestly surprised our grade 6 teacher didn't teach us as he was very open about us learning what happened to aboriginal people when white people arrived here . He was the only teacher who taught us the truth but im sure it was watered down a bit as we were young every other teacher I ever had for history would hide what happened to aboriginal people which is wrong . The "territories" are treated distinctly differently in our Constitution to the states, and used to be administered by the Federal Government. However since then, the Northern Territory and the Australian Capital Territory have been granted a certain degree of autonomy by the Federal Government and have become self-governing in a similar (though not identical) way to the states.

Just a friendly note: The Antarctic designated area wasn't inherited from the UK. The geographics were decided/stated well into the 1900's and were claimed by Australia. -Our national sport AFL (Australian rules football) and cricket (which is played internationally),
-Hardly any reference to our unique wildlife and plants - kangaroos, cockatoos, bilby, echidna, platypus, wombats, koalas, frilled lizard, eucalyptus, banksia, kangaroo paw etc that could take videos.
-A bit about our politics Edit: As of today 22/05 our current Labor government and prime minister Anthony Albanese
-The great barrier reef, the largest living organism on Earth
    -Ayers rock/Uluru - a sacred aboriginal site
-Exports and mining (such as coal, uranium, iron ore and other natural resources) and farming,
-Foods (like our meat pie and a couple of other things),
-Australia day, Anzac day and other important days,
-Some historical figures like Ned Kelly, Harold Holt, C.Y O'Connor

A further explanation of First Nations peoples land rights:
This decision - known as the Mabo decision - recognised that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples have rights to the land - rights that existed before the British arrived and can still exist today.
Today, native title has been recognised over more than one million square kilometres of Australian land and water (approximately 15% of Australian territorial land and waters). There are currently 629 registered Indigenous Land Use Agreements - a voluntary agreement between a native title group and others about the use of land and waters - in place. Some of our largest mines lease native land and pay First Nation communities for the rights to mine.

Misleading info about the flag. It implied that the large star represents the British Commonwealth. This is incorrect. The full official name of Australia is 'The Commonwealth of Australia', and the large star (called the Commonwealth Star) represents the Australian Commonwealth. Each pointer on the star represents a state, so it is a six pointed star. This is similar to how the American flag represents the states, but instead of pointers on a single star (which represents how the states are all united into one brilliant star) the US flag awards a star for each state.

Hi Our First Nation people (or aboriginals as the video referred to them) land ownership differs greatly from the Indian reservations. Due to the Mabo decision land was recognised as Native land. Hard to explain but look into: Mabo v Queensland (No 2) is a landmark decision of the High Court of Australia that recognised the existence of Native Title in Australia. It was brought by Eddie Mabo against the State of Queensland and decided on 3 June 1992.

"Kiwi" is anyone from New Zealand. Mouri being the most common "native" New Zealanders, among other tribes, but "kiwi" is the term for anyone from NZ (Named after their native bird of the same name).
Interestingly enough native NZ population is from a different ancestral stock than native Australian population. NZ natives seem to have come from the East and North east and share similarities with the Pacific Islander populations, most likely arriving by raft over a period of time.. Australian Aborigines most likely migrated from the north and north west over a land bridge 40-100 thousand years ago.
