The really neat thing about this is not only the ASMR, but to have the opportunity to see museum pieces in such detail. You can see it from different angles, and hear what it sounds like when held and turned. For museum junkies like me this is utterly blissful. Thank you, please create more! ❤
I think what makes the ASMR videos better then a lot of them out there it’s the fact they are REAL. I’ve watched two last night and slept like a baby. I also enjoy to learn the process of preservation of the items and their story. Thank you digital team and V&A. Looking forward for more please ❤️🙏🏻
Holy cow, please do more ASMR videos with Ms. Fajardo. I just stumbled across this one and watched the other 3. She has an amazing voice that relaxes me immediately. Watching her work is fascinating and mesmerizing. Thank you! ❤️
This whole VA line of asmr is the finest example of “intentional unintentional asmr”. No goddamn doctor visits or tapping or whatever these artists do. Real world asmr that I would occasionally enjoy finally captured perfectly
Oh this is such an amazing idea for an ASMR channel! This is so interesting and something about delicate restoration work like this and ASMR just goes hand in hand.
It's extraordinary to think that these costumes were abused in their main life (dancers gesticulating and sweating in them, putting them on, taking them off) and now they are treated with such gentleness.❤
You can see the conservation of Sandie Shaw's dress here: ua-cam.com/video/4laKUaaIP-c/v-deo.html. In the meantime, subscribe and keep your eyes peeled for the rest of the objects!
genuine question, how does one get a job working in museum archives? is there a traditional career path or does some study a certain major? or is it a trade school thing?
I think to avoid droplets shooting out. You really only want to the finest particles of steam. It will also catch scale although I would assume they use demineralised water
A very lovely and educational video, but shouldn't the conservator be wearing gloves so the natural oils on hair hands doesn't get on the dresses and eventually wear them down??
The V& A certainly figured out where their viewership comes from ;)
Lol
Totally! I'm glad to see how fast the ASMR community has grown in the past few years
Please make more of these across all departments!
Yes..its soooooo fascinating how different skills are needed, and how some brilliant minds are passing on heritage through preservation
Yes! Julie rose bower is brilliant! And please more with the incredibly soothing Susan Fajardo!
This is the kind of ASMR that really works for me. I am so relaxed. The conservator is beyond brilliant!
Whoever came up with this idea for y'all deserves a raise/promotion. Brilliant marketing.
I love how gentle she is with the dress, and I could listen to her speak all day it’s so calming.😌
I’m begging for more of these! I love costumes and restoration work. Plus Ms. Fajardo’s voice is so incredibly soothing 😌
Make sure you're subscribed and have notifications on! We may have something coming soon... 👀
@@vamuseum awesome!!!
Her voice is a vitamin

I watched it last night and woke up at 2 AM to find out the light was still on. :D So, yeah, it's a great relaxant - possibly even too great! :D
Not only a great museum but also great for ASMR...happy days!!😊😊
Holy cow, please do more ASMR videos with Ms. Fajardo. I just stumbled across this one and watched the other 3. She has an amazing voice that relaxes me immediately. Watching her work is fascinating and mesmerizing. Thank you! ❤️
Absolutely gorgeous and such an interesting different way for the audience to experience these pieces!
ASMR & theatrical costumes - I'm in heaven. :o)
I would absolutely love if she would make more of these. I love the history and how she cares for each item ❤️🙏🏽
This whole VA line of asmr is the finest example of “intentional unintentional asmr”. No goddamn doctor visits or tapping or whatever these artists do. Real world asmr that I would occasionally enjoy finally captured perfectly
She has the perfect voice for soft spoken ASMR! Especially when working on the beaded dress 🥰
Years ago the quality of closeups wouldn’t have been so clear. I really found this fascinating. More please!
It's interesting to see this stage of the process. Next time I am viewing an exhibition of clothing I will remember this video. Thank you for sharing.
i love history of costime and asmr videos, and it s so cool that you thought of combining these two
thanks
Wow!! This is such a great concept for an ASMR series. Please, please, PLEASE make more!
ASMR Heaven for me: Art conservation and conservators and artists discussing their process.
Brilliant concept, beautiful costumes, a treat for the eyes and ears. Well done all!
I was completely desensitized by listening to ASMR every night, but this gave me so many tingles.
ASMR had never done much for me until this. Textiles, raffia (!) And the conservator's lilting voice - just delightful.
The fine detail of this work just blows me away ❤
The subject matter is fascinating and the ASMR is superb!
I feel honored to be a witness to this.
Oh this is such an amazing idea for an ASMR channel! This is so interesting and something about delicate restoration work like this and ASMR just goes hand in hand.
Yes.... I dig when she's working for the tiny glass beads.... wonderful!
I love this lady. So natural and professional she is.
I saw PJ Harvey wear that dress when she performed at the Albert Hall years ago, incredible!
I'm so comforted by this ASMR series 😍
ASMR AND the V&A, in one video. Can life get any better than this?
Enthralling and relaxing at the same time.
this is beyond perfection! I am in awe, could watch and listen for weeks
Most relaxing video in like a year for me, absolutely love it, and her voice is so sweet and kind 🌸
I would totally wear that sandie Shaw dress. In a heartbeat! And I would look beautiful in it! What an amazing color!
The Sandie Shaw dress is just perfect for ASMR! 😴😴😴
This is gold.. top of the top ASMR
Hypnotic ...she has such patience ....and skill! Does anyone know who designed the Sandie Shaw dress ?
Thankyou ! It’s exquisite .
This is heavenly! Thank you ❤️
this mixes my two favorite things, fashion and asmr
Relaxing and informative, love it!
need someone to treat me the way she treats that stressed thread
yay! Argh I hate that I'm at work, but I know I have this to look forward to. Thanks!
such a fantastic resource- cant wait to get back in there!
This woman has a heavenly voice.
It's extraordinary to think that these costumes were abused in their main life (dancers gesticulating and sweating in them, putting them on, taking them off) and now they are treated with such gentleness.❤
My brain is melting
Absolutely delightful ASMR video
Love these videos! Keep them coming
Wow! Such infinite patience!
This is how I have to act when I borrow my OCD sisters stuff. 🤣
love these videos!!!! more more more
I would love to see a bit longer demonstration of the repairs if possible' it's so intriguing!
You can see the conservation of Sandie Shaw's dress here: ua-cam.com/video/4laKUaaIP-c/v-deo.html. In the meantime, subscribe and keep your eyes peeled for the rest of the objects!
I wonder how many treasures museums have in their archives. We need to see ALL OF THEM! :D
I subbed, now I need longer videos
Superb video!
Love love love this video
Please keep making these!
We've got something new in the works 🤫. In the meantime, check out our ASMR playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLe2ihXndm5jseo_RGEGeEbPy09z0nlmZE.html
I’m loving these videos :)
I want to see them done. Thanks!
What is that sprayer thing she uses at 2:20 called? It looks so fancy!
I’ve been searching for one of these for a while, and can’t find another one. They must only be available to the fanciest of people.
Dahlia sprayer
@@MichaelDurgin thank you! I didn’t know they were fairly common, especially amongst gardeners 😅
I have a small travel steamer that works so much better than those heavy steamers. I worked with those things for years working in retail.
Beautiful..
That needs to be about six hours longer.
i love these videos
Woop woop 🚨 Thats the sound of the Paultice 🔥🔥🔥
Please help. Timestamp 2:20 she used a sprayer. I spend a lot of time trying to find it but it didn't work out. Can you name the brand?
Not sure the brand, but it's a dahlia sprayer.
What kind of sprayer, cold poultice? So interesting and want to learn more.... Thank you.
Can you imagine working with this lady? She’d be so annoyed with me falling asleep every time I was near her. What a gentle, perfect voice for ASMR.
genuine question, how does one get a job working in museum archives? is there a traditional career path or does some study a certain major? or is it a trade school thing?
Would have been nice to see them on display.
Brilliant
why does V&A disable comments on just about every upload?
So good
Absolutely fascinating
The Eurovision dress crinkles YEPPP
I just noticed that video is not bright thank you👏 other asmr videos are really blinding
I WANT THAT WATER SPRAYER
It should be called V&ASMR
I wish to be handled as gently as this dress
I, like the thread, too been stressed.
Seamstress (?) Lady should stop working for the V&A and start her new career as an ASMR ROCK STAR immediately!!
mmm, so nice :)
Я хочу смотреть на это вечно!
3:09
Genius marketing.
Why did she put cheesecloth (?) over the steamer?
I think to avoid droplets shooting out. You really only want to the finest particles of steam. It will also catch scale although I would assume they use demineralised water
This lovely lady has no need of mindfulness 😊
A very lovely and educational video, but shouldn't the conservator be wearing gloves so the natural oils on hair hands doesn't get on the dresses and eventually wear them down??
Apparently clean hands are better. Gloves can make you clumsier. Even manuscripts that are stable are being examined without gloves.
Clean hands are the preferred method for fabric conservation
prefer just working sound + subtitles and no speech...
I’m sure homeopathy and conservation are related to each other.
مزعج
Hate this ASMR thing it make me really uncomfortable…..no thx! This is for me a 👎🏽
I find this so creepy.
