Tom Halion is known as a very level headed and diplomatic umpire. He has been in the league for a bit but handles the game well.
That ump sucked. Escalated the situation by constantly getting in the face of the coach and pushing the coach. Should have knocked the ump out. Umps suck the last 20 years getting off throwing people out. Just to get drama going with umps that no one likes and they cry about it so the commissioner said start throwing people out and more fans will come. It's all BS.

Instead of letting Terry go after the ump who made the ejection he told him to direct his anger towards him to avoid Terry being thrown out as well. Told him very clearly why they had to make the ejection, that the league wanted them to send a message that intentional beans won't be tolerated, that he doesn't necessarily agree with how MLB wanted them to handle the situation and he just has to do what was instructed, that he understood that his team felt like they needed to do something to retaliate, when Terry yelled "why don't we get our shot?" He told him you just had your shot and you guys blew it, directed him to the bullpen without having to touch him moving him away from everyone else so he can cool off.

To be fair, their asses should have been in the jackpot considering how badly they screwed up the previous game. The double bad decisions to call Utley safe at 2nd AND not call him for interference (which would have made the runner out at first as well) single handedly gave the Dodgers the win. How many times have you seen a infielder throw the ball to first & miss his target by 10 feet? Pitchers throw many more times a game. Every once in awhile they have one get away. Umps need to use some common sense but everything has to be black an white.

I've commented on this before, but the umpire at 1:28 that dealt with Noah Syndergaard was fantastic...Very respectful in the way he explained the situation, and it was pretty clear that both player & manager respected the way he was handling them, even though they disagreed with the original ejection...Kudos to the man on a job well done.

It would be amazing to sit down with Terry and Tommy and listen to some old time life stories while drinking a few cold ones. They seem like friends who are just passionate about the game .
I quit watching baseball a long time ago honestly the passion isn't there now and now that the liberal left have succeeded in politicizing baseball just like what's been done with football I can't enjoy sports anymore watching it.
