@guitarguru186 absolutely. BTW, your vids and your whole appearance is really great! Especially for Fractal noobs like me. You definitely deserve more viewers!
Aw thanks, I appreciate that ^_^ Little by little, the channel is growing! I don’t actively spam forums or anything like that, so this is strictly word-of-mouth or UA-cam suggestions thus far. May change that approach going into the end of 2024 🤔
Oh cool! I’m really glad I could illuminate that possibility for you ^_^ Makes sooooooo many gigs easier, or working with artists who like to change keys [of songs where the licks require open strings].
Thanks Mike! Hmm 🤔 the more processing we add to the sound, the more latency will get introduced. I notice artifacts/latency a little bit with the FM3 (more than the Axe-FX III), but nothing outrageous. Down-tuning further doesn’t add latency per half-step, that I’ve noticed anyways. Are you going from E to C? The biggest thing for tightness is using the Low Cut in the Pitch Block to compensate for the low-frequency artifacts. Dial in to taste! I think it’s entirely subjective if it’s “usable” or not for someone. Personally, if I notice any latency in any sound relay, Fractal or not, I tend to sonically hone in on the final product & end up “playing ahead” to match. In short, accurate for sure & pretty tight. Whammy DT is probably still the industry champ & nothing’s perfect…but at a moment’s notice? Huuuuuuge advantages! We’re so fortunate as guitar players to live in this golden age of gear. Inherent latency of the unit is 3ms (insanely low). Hope that helps!
That’s actually how I found this video, trying to figure out how to reduce latency. I’m using axefx3 and even half step down the latency makes it unusable for lead playing in most cases. it’s not too bad for rhythm or slower parts. Probably something wrong with my setup but that’s my experience with it.
Very helpful for me. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us.
That’s so great to hear! It’s my pleasure ^_^
Thank you Happy new year God bless you
My pleasure! Happy New Year to you too, John. And thank you for watching!
Now go get those Drop A chugs out of your E-standard guitar ;) Haha
Great Vid! Thanks for the low cut hint!👍🏻
I’m happy to hear that it helped! Such a powerful tool 🤯 changes the game!

Thank you for going over this feature! I was using this completely wrong initially lol
My pleasure! I’m glad this helped you out 🤘🏻
A lot of tricks in these devices!
Interesting had no idea this was an option!

Great video. Do you notice if there is any lag in sound down in something like C when fast picking bar chords or is it pretty tight and accurate?
Thanks Mike!

What are your parameters set to? Perhaps we can get the latency down a bit!
(anything like Tracking, Tracking type, Input, etc.)
