I’m 36 years old and just starting up SC2 again. I’m finding that as long as you accept your skill level and league placement, you can have lots of fun. I’ll never be a GM and even if I was I’d still be losing at least 50% of my games. As long as you can accept losing and just enjoy your time, the game is amazing
You can also increase your skill level and league placement, I wouldn’t say accepting it is the only answer. Just try to get a little bit better each time you play. I’m 32 returning after a 6 year break and have climbed from bronze to diamond 3 in a matter of months. But yes, accepting your losses and even analyzing them will help you to have fun

I'd say the SPECIAL MECHANICS are things like Medivacs healing zerg, SCVs repairing protos....being able to share abilities that 1v1 never gets to do. Mechanics that haven't been balanced around....imagine a zerg army(hydra+Muta) with 8 medivacs.
You say that Zerg can't contribute in 2v2, but Zerg is the reason for the 4 minute no-sharing because without that you get 200 supply of roach/ravager at the 4 minute mark and roll over your opponent. So... There is a special 2v2 rule, one that nerfs Zerg. But Zerg being predictable and having only like 2 useful units until the 10 minute mark is also true in 1v1.
Feels like the synchronicity of maxpax|spirit was a big thing in the final match. If you can catch one of the enemies teams on its own with a combined army then it’s game over.

THen have a plan follow up, meaning larger infrastrucutre to come out or trade off, meaning the feeder, typically repsonds with mass gates prepared or robos ,ro star and has al inear feeding transiation.. even archons... hmm..
This is the only way I would play starcraft back in the day was 2v2 and my buddy and me made it up to Masters but very low masters 2 v 2 but yes they should do more I think I'd bring a fresh view of things to the starcraft fans
Yay, so excited for more 2v2! Is it possible to have the teams be in consistent, distinguishable colors? In particular it's helpful if one team is in warm colors (orange/red/yellow) and the other is in cool colors (blue/indigo/green)
They are still playing single player. In broodwars 2v2 the players worked together seamlessly. They had marvelous 2v2 builds non of which I remember. haha All I remember is being madly outclassed by opponents who had every building placement and every unit planned out in advance.

I would like to see Professional Archon mode. 1v1 but there's 2 players playing each side. Maybe even a mod for 300 max supply and do it on a larger map.
I guess team games is one way to circumvent mirror matchups and still have clem be the same race as the opponent. Next we need clem and byun on opposite sides.

Well, there was ranking qualifiers, and the Championships was open to everyone to enter. Turned out the 1v1 pros where very good in 2v2 too
