Great video. I love the fact your northern accent shines through. ❤ The north east is a beautiful, often underrated region. You need to make a video celebrating locations 'up north' 🥰 Keep up the good work!
Nice vlog Luke great to see some of the film locations. yes, when it rains it rains for sure the weather is all over the place at present. thanks for taking us around London. xxx
Hey Luke, I absolutely loved this "Walking Tour" of London. Yes please do another one. Its really fascinating to see where films are made. I'v visited London a good few times and loved it. Have a great bank holiday weekend. x
Thanks for showing us around London some very impressive buildings. Nice to see Demi watch her all the time such a down to earth person. Could hear your accent coming back when you were both talking.
I love watching your channel. I always feel a part of what you are doing rather than just watching from afar. Your lovely friendly nature takes me along with you. Thank you. Keep going and being yourself. Love Zara too!
Wonderful tour, thank you. My friend, when Mary Poppins was filmed in Hollywood in the early 60s CGI hadn't even been thought of. Very old school film work complete with hand drawn and inked cartoon characters. 😀
Lovely interesting vlog…. Love how your accent came back when you was talking to Demi… I’m from Yorkshire living in Gloucestershire fir over 50 years but when I talk to my family on the phone my accent comes back instantly lol also like you I’m always a Yorkshire lass
Thank you Luke thoroughly enjoyed your tour, we definitely need to come back down for a break. My most favourite place to spend some hours is Covent Garden there is so much going on
Never be ashamed of where your from,I've been a Brummie in Cornwall for 40 years,my accent has mellowed but not gone.Thank you for wonderful tour ,can you believe that bus catching fire ,take care lovely huggs ☺
London really is a beautiful city and there is so much that can be done for free as someone that has lived my whole life here also a lot of people mix-up tower bridge with London bridge especially across the pond
Loved the video Luke. I worked in Lombard street right by the royal exchange years ago and I never get tired of our wonderful city. Sorry you had a mare coming home. 😢
Thank you for the vlog! I love a good walk-about vlog; it's like going on vacation to a country that I have a natural fondness for. Also, you featured another one of my UA-cam favorites, Demi. Happy Sunday!🥰
Have you ever been to @bricklane theatre... you should try the pantomime there you have 3 course meal ten stay sat at your tables after you've eaten and watch the panto.. it's a lovely vintage theatre too ... brilliant experience
What an enjoyable tour and nice for you to meet a friend. I was thinking of you the other day as a young lad was chatting to his camera vlogging about liverpool before eurovision crowds arrive..stay northern
Good morning luke loved the tour .I've had the pleasure of staying at St Pancras Hotel. We was able to have a tour inside parts of the building that the public don't get too see .That was absolutely fantastic. The guide talked about the history more in depth. At the time you could have a tour separately for a charge .we'll worth it in my opinion. Like you I love London we pop down when we are going to the threatre. Thankyou so much for your your of film locations have a great weekend xxxx
Hi Luke , Thank you for a super video & taking us to the movie locations . The royal exchange is lovely , such amazing architecture & beautiful places . Take Care ❤ XX
Again I got excited at another out-in-London vlog, and again it was wonderful, Luke. I can’t wait to arrive in London again in just over three weeks! Another recent blog of yours gave me the idea for my husband and I to make a visit at Penhaligon’s. I just can’t wait! Thank you for making the world a little better with the glimpses of the world as you see it.
You have brought back many memories from my younger days. The buildings are now tended to, cleaned and maintained. Over the last 55 years it has really changed but for the better. 👍👍👍👍. A bus fire?! Could only happen to you Luke!
I really enjoyed watching your channel today, not that I don't always enjoy watching your channel. I was raised in East London near the sound of the bow bells of Whitechapel. Places that I remember in your blog today seem to have changed so so much since I left to live in Ireland with my family about 18 years ago. Can't wait to make a return journey back to the UK in the not too distance to visit.
Did you know Luke, that ‘The Portable Door’ wa actually filmed in Sydney. There are many landmarks Sydney buildings (the townhall etc) featured and they used CGI for the London backgrounds.
Really enjoyed this. At 64 (yesterday!) I can honestly say I've only been to London about 6 times. My husband and i are a bit green when it comes to getting around especially nervous of the tube stations and will we get on wrong ones! We would love more walking sightseeing tours so when we come again we'll have more idea!! Thank you xx
Hi Luke from Tacoma, Washington! It's Sunday, April 30th when your video posted. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Being an American, my head would be on a swivel looking at all of the historical buildings. One thing that stood out for me and it's kinda funny is that I noticed so many people looking at their phones when you were in The Royal Exchange. Maybe they are just used to it and that's just the way of the world, but with all of the gorgeous historical architecture, I would be gobsmacked! I love using that word. Anyway, it's pretty overcast here, but no rain so far. We get a lot of rain in Western Washington. I'm meeting a girlfriend later for an Indian lunch. Take care and thank you for the sightseeing tour! Now, onto Mr. Carrington's vlog.
Oh many thanks for a walkthrough of London! One of my favourite travel destinations ❤ I haven’t been there since Jan 2020. Before covid I travelled to London at least once a year. When I see you walking around I just want to jump on the plane. One of my favourite film locations is Denmark St where CB Strike is filmed. I have twice walked by it and by coincidence seen the filming taking place. So cool and then of course being from Denmark, it’s close to my heart ❤
Thank you Luke that was great it was so lovely for you to catch up with demi she is great and so funny ,the buildings in London have so much history ,a big hug for Maggi she is so cute with her wet shiny nose and her big puppy dog eyes ..xx
Hi Its so nice to see so much of London town as we us to call it. I grew up in and around the city but never actually went into the city. Since moving away in the 60s I have paid a few visits. Please do some more . 🐧🐧🐧🐧🐧
Next time show Tower Bridge and the Tower of London so many films have featured them in the past. Use to live in the south before moving to Norfolk and always spent my school summer holidays walking round London. Lovely to see the sights again.
Thanks Luke that was great. So many places that I have been to in the past but oh so long ago. Yes London is wonderful but I am from the country and as much as I like a visit, I would never trade for my very quiet piece of England. XX
I love London..I'm only 2 hours away by train but I never get there ..last time was around 4 years ago! When i come to London it's like I come to life..! I do love it but I live next to the sea and I really couldn't live in a city ..but maybe I could for a while as long as I was able to see the seaside most of the time! ❤.. Thanks for the tour Luke so many places I've never seen ...I think my favourite area of London is also Covent garden..but I also love where all the theaters are, we went to see Charlie and the chocolate factory in Drury lane theater it was just amazing ..I love that theater! Fab video Luke..❤😊...p.s ..A book I've just read ...Boulder by Eva Baltaser ...who actually is a poet ..its a short book but really great story but very extreme in parts! I actually bought the book because the front cover just drew me in ..it reminded me so much of Eva Peron ..just thought you may like to give it a read ..to be honest it's not a book of my choice but I did enjoy it ..😊
Oh I know what you mean Samantha, I lived in the north for 19 years and there was so much of it I never visited and only now wish I did! Covent Garden does have a wonderful magic about it x
Thanks for the tour are used to live in London for years. They did Nottinghill gate. One of my favorite movies is Nottinghill gate it’s an old one, but it’s good.
Thanks for the tour. Such beautiful, historical places to film movies in. Mr. C was walking in Notting Hill for some reason quite a few years ago. I asked him if that was where the movie Notting Hill was filmed and he said yes. That is one of my very favorite movies, even though it’s an older movie. I believe that the movie Billy Elliot was filmed in the northeast of England, where you are from. That’s another favorite movie of mine. I don’t know who the dancer was that played the older Billy Elliot but, the jump that he did coming out on stage at the end of the movie was absolutely phenomenal! Whoever he is, he was an amazing dancer! Thanks again for the tour and I hope you have a wonderful week. Hugs from the southeast coast of Florida😎🦩🌞🦩
Lovely vlog, as always. I love to get to know new places with you. I've said this before, but for me us a future tourist in your country it helps to decide what I will visit when traveling. I was expecting some sites from the film Notting Hill, although I think you may have shown some of this places before, or was it Iwan 😅?
Hi Luke! Always love it when you take us around London. We saw a few of the Harry Potter film sites last time we were there as well as the Knotting Hill film sites. London just has so many film locations to find that you can never get bored. Thanks for another fun vlog, but sorry you got caught I that rain. Much love from Fort Worth, Texas! 🤠🌧☔
Hiya Luke, my Dad was from Durham so I love hearing the accent. And YES to Gregg's - I'd happily die in there 😁 Thanks for the tour; I've lived in London all my life but, I still learnt new stuff from watching the vid. Cheers Jo
Hello, thank you Luke for sharing all these beautiful places with us, I've never been in the UK (what à shame,) but one day.....hello from France, love your videos 👍❤️
Thank you Luke for showing us all the different movie locations, it was like a free tour for me here in America. Beautiful architecture. 😊💖
Yes indeed. I have had so many lovely tours of London via Luke (and Iwan). All virtual of course.
@@artssygrl Yes. Luke and Iwan are always great to watch. 😊
😀A small point, from a Londoner born and bred: Lead(enhall) is pronounced Led, not Leed.😊
I love how excited you get, your smile brightens up everywhere you go, you have such a happy vibe 🥰
Lush to catch up with you - can’t wait until our next date ✨❤️
Thank you so much for being our tour guide. I loved it!

Lovely video nice just to walk around London. Just so you know Big Ben is the bell not the clock faces.
Wonderful tour, thank you. My friend, when Mary Poppins was filmed in Hollywood in the early 60s CGI hadn't even been thought of. Very old school film work complete with hand drawn and inked cartoon characters. 😀
Thanks, Luke, great nostalgia for we oldies who no longer live in the London area! Pity it all had to end in fire and flood!
Thank you for taking us along with you Luke! It was Brilliant! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
