I’m on my own, I’m 65. It’s peaceful and bliss. I’ve been eating Christmas food this month and watching vlogmasses. I have relatives to FaceTime and a lodger. After a lifetime of difficult Christmas days in my childhood, I’m happy!
I feel exactly the same - I’m very ambivalent about Christmas Day but I adore the build up. The fairylights, feeling cosy, lovely things to look forward to. Once the day is over, its then on countdown to it being over and taking the decorations down, which is just sad 😢 Enjoy the run up, both of you, in your beautiful home 🎄🎄
Just would love to say luke zara you have both worked so hard on you truly beautiful house and to by one in london its fantastic what with the priceseven the lord himself rested well that was when he created the world take things easy guys and have awonderful rested christmas🎉😂❤❤❤😊😅😅🎉🎉🎉
The lead up to Christmas is the best part, going to church, kids concerts, Christmas meals with family and friends but as soon as it’s over my decorations come down because they look so wrong and sad
I feel the same too. I absolutely love the build up to Christmas. Everything that goes with Christmas. But the actual day! Not so much. Great vlog Luke. 👍🥰
My dad passed 6 years ago & it changed the way we enjoy the actual day. Now instead of worrying about making things perfect, we all gather in the evening to play games & eat finger foods. It's the best part of Christmas now. ❤
I have collected many glass baubles and other decs over the years. All my now “Retro ones” from the 70’s, I gave to my daughter. The latest ones are stunning, bedecked with Crystals…👍👍👍🎄
The joy on your face - I can see you’ve had a wonderful time buying presents for the children in your family 😊 They are going to love what you’ve chosen 😍
What a lovely vlog! 🎄 The things you bought your nieces are so sweet, they have both been well and truly spoilt. 🎁 You have the most calming voice and such a lovely accent, it makes it such an enjoyable watch. ❤ xx
Hi Luke. .. what fabulous blog today ..I have enjoyed all that you have achieved in a day ..love your nieces gifts ,they be so excited ..you make this time of year most enjoyable…as I have been sitting in the sunshine in Spain..where they celebrate the feast of kings( epiphany) 6 th January… chris
For me getting all the decorations up early works for us …. so we can use the days to get out and do my shopping for gifts and then a day for buying all the food items and then parties and just getting out to look at lights and that type of stuff and have the week before Christmas to focus on food prep for the days leading up to Christmas! I love the hustle and bustle! But it can get out of control… Merry Christmas from Texas!!
Same! I’m not fussed by actual Christmas Day….. so much pressure for it to be ‘perfect’ and it’s not. I like the little things: Christmas Day out with my friends, giving my folks there fancy advent calendars, doing the Christmas windows at home…. Not even bothered by Christmas dinner!
Great vlog and a very festive one with Zara too. Fair play to anyone who can arrange a spin class or any activity the morning after! Lots of fun things in the run up to Christmas 🎄✨🥂💖 (Gypsophila is baby’s breath 💕)
Great video today. I am happy you brought some warm stuff for your New York trip. It's been really cold here in NJ. I live an hour from the city. Enjoy!
This was super Christmassy. Just seeing London does it for me! We went about a week ago and Covent Garden/central London was insane! But still festive. Love these vlogs 🎄🎄🎄
Same luke, absolutely love the light switch ons, tree going up and Christmas eve but the day itself is a bit boring past few yrs, me n hubby on our own, just sat down pretty shattered but finished work till January, hope you're well❤❤
What a lovely video. I love Borough Market although it does stress me out when it's really busy. Your nieces will be on a sugar rush for days but that's what uncles are for x
With my first partner, I would have his very large family for Christmas Day and Boxing day too, I loved it! Looking back how I managed those huge amounts of hot cooked foods with a basic two rung oven, I cannot remember?! 24 including their children. Boxing Day was a breeze. Mixed salads, cold meats, hot seasoned/buttered new potatoes, quiche’s, home made sausage rolls, pickles and cheeses, Lemon Meringue, (Large) mince pies, butterfly sponge. Busy time but much fun and laughter..😀
I hate December. I lost my dad due to a drink driver(1975), 😢so I always feel down but have to pick my self up for kids and just too many birthdays (about 23 birthdays) as well so very expensive month
I have just sat down after making five dozen Mince pies, Luxury Mince pies. Pastry Heavy on the butter, egg yolks. Very sweet and short. Some for friends and my neighbours. Sorted! 😀👍👍👍👍
Luke Love The Scarf 🧣.you are So Thoughtful For The Girls,They will love All The Presents🎁 Really Enjoyed this one To Night .so Jealous of you Going To New York 🚕🗽My Favourite Place in the world. Have a Lovely Evening.Xx 🥰
Dear Luke and Zara inc Maggie, Now as home owners with a mortage and all the adult grown up things - You will be startled just how fast your life has sped by. It is astounding❤❤❤❤❤ Zipppppp]................>❤❤❤❤
Dairy Milk chocolate is the best, but only from the UK. It's awful in the US. The gifts for the nieces are awesome, I think they will love it. The boxes are adorable! All the cheese talk has made me hungry, we are doing charcuterie for Christmas eve.
Im like you Luke... love all the festivities and decorating leading up to Christmas, but always feel Christmas Day to be exhausting. Now no judgement here... but please be careful with cheap candles as they are extremely toxic... endocrine disrupters, as well as so bad for the lungs. Natural beeswax, soy or coconut candles are the best and unfragranced. Unnatural synthetic fragrance is also disrupting for hormones and endocrine system, etc...
