This is one of the reasons I love Voldemort as a villain. He has his own style and way of doing stuff. Usually, there is a boundary or a wall between a villain and the viewer that's the reason we root with the hero to take us in the realm of the bad guy but with Voldemort, we are exposed to his personality and his thinking which makes the wall transparent. A villain often carries a single way of speaking or walking but not in the case of Voldemort, he often changes his tone and even dances a little. Awe words of wisdom from the old west, "Shoot first and ask questions later." My other favorite quote, "The bad guys are the ones who are shooting at you."
It was because in Voldemort's mind if he killed Harry in a fair, face to face one on one duel it'd prove that Harry causing his original fall from power because of Lily's sacrifice causing his Avada Kedavra to be deflected back at him destroying his body was pure luck, a fluke.
my guess before watching the video ... his huge ego meant he wanted to prove to all his Death Eaters that he could easily out-duel Harry. which also explains why he summoned the Death Eaters before having Wormtail untie Harry.
Voldemort is a psychopath, but that is not why he didn’t kill Harry. Using a knife is too mundane for Voldemort, who hates all things mundane. He is also above all things ARROGANT. He is so convinced of his own invisibility that he doesn’t see that he can fail. He never thought that there was anyway that Harry could defeat or escape him. Even at the end when Voldemort has felt every one of his Horcruxes get destroyed, he could not see that he could lose. He was lost to his own ARROGANCE and the will of Harry Potter. In the graveyard during Priori incantatum it is a battle of wills. Voldemort’s will Vs. Harry’s will. Voldemort lost badly.
Their wands were like siblings, therefore can only injure each others owner, but can't kill each others owner.. elder wand cant kill harry coz Voldemort is not it's owner, it was Harry's..

He wanted to gloat. To prove his point. To hamper home that he was in control. Although, I wonder if Harry had 'died' in the graveyard, would he die or the horcrux?
What has always bothered me is no one seems to acknowledge the fact that Malfoy did in fact try to bring back Voldemort only two years prior. Was it not he who put Tom Riddle‘s diary in Ginny Weasley‘s cauldron?
For me, that graveyard scene serves as an example of the classic trope of "the villain has the hero at his mercy and instead of killing him, just reminds everyone of how evil he is by minutes of monologue, which ends up impairing his plans quite significantly". Also, I never noticed before, but there's a death eater clapping at 07:37 (left of Lucius)

I thought it was obvious
Surely he wanted to make a fool out of Harry so he duelled him and failed
Voldemort wanted an audience to witness his power. He enjoyed causing pain and anguish to his victims.
you and movieflame should do another collab both you guys are great !
Yes they did great together
No
Golden HD why 🤭🤔
I’ve never been this early haha. This was something I wondered about so thanks for making a video about it!
SunflowerLupin Same. I’ve never been here this early.
I know
@@damirimamagic5064 Neither have I
The fact that you have that cool accent makes your videos that much better
He's voldy. He just wanted to show off a bit about how he came back to life. Give him a break, well u can't cuz he's dead.
As Tuco said in “The Good The Bad and the Ugly”....”When you have to shoot,Shoot...Don’t talk”.
Awe words of wisdom from the old west, "Shoot first and ask questions later." My other favorite quote, "The bad guys are the ones who are shooting at you."
The actors' performance thou . Just brilliant.
Yep. And that's why he wasted little time to try killing Harry the next time they met, which was about a year later.
Your one of the best Harry Potter UA-camr! Keep up the good work
Voldemort tries to take a deep breath after being restored to a body: “WORMTAIL!!!”
Some villains, even the best ones, should listen to Han Solo from the original Star Wars "don't get cocky".
he's just savoring the moment, Harry wasn't going anywhere..
So he thought
Because it's fun to play with your enemy before killing them. It won't be satisfactory if they die immediately with no explanation given.
I love that you love making these videos, always posting with great content and happy vibes. Hope your channel grows ands grows!
Would a horcrux still work if Harry had shot or stabbed Voldemort
Absolutely. A horcrux is the complete opposite of the human being.
He would die ?
Deirdre Jackson No. Voldemort was immortalized once he created his first horcrux.
Missing one MAIN important mention their wands are brothers.
It was because in Voldemort's mind if he killed Harry in a fair, face to face one on one duel it'd prove that Harry causing his original fall from power because of Lily's sacrifice causing his Avada Kedavra to be deflected back at him destroying his body was pure luck, a fluke.
**reads title**
Me, Immediately: cuz he needed him to build his own body-
But Voldie isn't born yet
1:49 Wormtail's face....ugh
Voldy is too arrogant to even realize how his arrogance always has made him lose.
Ego and an huge sense of self-delusion.
my guess before watching the video ... his huge ego meant he wanted to prove to all his Death Eaters that he could easily out-duel Harry. which also explains why he summoned the Death Eaters before having Wormtail untie Harry.
Me: _reads the title_
Story: *Am I joke to you?*
Video idea: what if petuna was also a wizard and went to Hogwarts with Lily how would that affect Harry growing up
This made PERFECT sense!
Killing Harry quickly wouldn't of served his ego he wanted to make him suffer and practically beg before killing him.
Their wands were like siblings, therefore can only injure each others owner, but can't kill each others owner.. elder wand cant kill harry coz Voldemort is not it's owner, it was Harry's..
“I can touch you now”
Very disturbing out of context tbh
those death eaters clapping in the background! some of the best followers there
thank you so much for your videos. not only are they AMAZING but they help me stay positive when I get home from working the front lines during Covid. You are my go-to for a pick me up. HP universe can truly take you to a new happier world in your mind with imagination
Because he wanted to play with him like a cat with a mouse. That and there wouldn't be more books and movies if he had. 😂
He wanted to gloat. To prove his point. To hamper home that he was in control. Although, I wonder if Harry had 'died' in the graveyard, would he die or the horcrux?
Please do a video on giants! or a group of beings including the giants!
What has always bothered me is no one seems to acknowledge the fact that Malfoy did in fact try to bring back Voldemort only two years prior. Was it not he who put Tom Riddle‘s diary in Ginny Weasley‘s cauldron?
Still the diary horcrux ended up destroyed. And lucius didnt know the diary could "revive" voldemort
