A few small clips from today's filming for Doc Martin, Monday July 17th 2017, filming for Series 8, in Port Isaac.
This selection of clips show cast members such as Martin Clunes (Dr Martin Ellingham), Eileen Atkins (Dr Ruth Ellingham), John Marquez (PC Joe Penhale), Ian McNeice (Bert Large), Joe Absolom (Al Large) and Jessica Ransom (Morwenna Newcross) during non-filming parts of the day.

I'm new to Doc Martin, just finishing series 2, and I'm astounded by Martin Clunes' acting. Having enjoyed his documentaries and videos of him working and playing with his horses, seeing him inhabit the Martin Ellingham character 110% is just fascinating. Excellent acting all around, of course, but except for a few of the guest stars, he's the only one I've seen elsewhere.
Memorising series ever seen. Now all seasons watched, I'm now missing as if I have returned from holiday.

I live in the US (Kansas), so it will be be sometime in 2018 until I will actually be able to see anything of the actual programs on TV. Keep up the good work. i was there last week and there are so many tourists! couldn't believe how packed it was
are common people allowed to just stand by and watch filming... or are all these people cast members or extras.. I love Doc Martin,new to the show and loving it
They allowed people to get pretty close when watching - they would ensure nobody was in a shot, but other than that there were very little restrictions.
@@cjhuk I would love to have been an onlooker.. that is very kind of the show to allow this, especially with the way the world is today with some obsessed people to their fans.. this would NEVER be allowed in the states.. thank you, enjoy your day... peace

Doc Martin
, the character, not Martin Clunes is guilty of domestic abuse, particularly towards his wife (character) and is unacceptable in this day and age. I think producers need to revise his character as he sends the wrong message to the viewing public..
Do some research. Doc Martin is a character who was “…raised by neglectful parents, Martin has grown into an emotionally stunted adult. He has problems showing emotion and is influenced more by logic, which has helped him in his profession to keep calm in serious situations and become one of London's best surgeons, but also makes him appear rude, blunt, arrogant, and anti-social.” That is every bit as relevant today as any other personality type one might encounter in real life.
Yes they will reshoot all the seasons over to help your feelings out. What a pratt.
