I have a Lenovo Yoga C940 14". Just to let folks know, that particular model has a heating issue. My problem with the hard drive not being recognized was from overheating, the CPU and motherboard would range from 80C/176F to 95C/203F, while my SSD would hit 65C/149F before I get the Blue Screen with the various error codes. I would run SFC and DISM with no error messages, and run the Chkdsk /f /r command. I took off the rear cover and found that my thermal assembly was/is working fine. Once the computer cooled, the hard drive was recognized again and windows loaded successfully without errors. In order to use it without interruptions, I just had to elevate the rear of the computer where the vents are on the bottom cover. I just purchased a cooling pad that I will be using from now on.

J'ai un ordinateur Lenovo yoga 11 e et j'ai des problèmes de démarrage
Sounds like your on the correct video. Have you tried the steps seen here?
Also, did anything happen before the issue? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
My laptop shows no harddisk what to do
Assuming you have a Lenovo, your on the correct video :) Can you try the steps seen here? Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
What if it doesn’t detect a hard drive at all??
Like not even on the bios screen
@@commentary4298 1. Your Lenovo is not seeing your HDD? Sounds like your on the correct video. Have you tried the steps seen here?
2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Overheating, liquid spill, Windows update, etc?
@@PC_Monkey refurbished straight from Best Buy, gonna follow up with their customer service but I kinda want to be reasonably helpful on potential issues, my initial thought is it’s possible they didn’t attach the hard drive right, or there simply isn’t one.
Cant install hard disk 2tb for laptop g480?
Yes, you can have any sized HDD you like in most computers :)
@@PC_Monkey Thanks for your information👌👍👍👍
@@ASMS-A1988Z Happy to help :) Always here if needed !!
Mine is Lenovo IdeaPad gaming and I can't find the novo button
1. Not all Lenovos have a NOVA button. Yours may not. Are you able to try the different function keys and access BIOS? What are you able to see on the screen when you try to start the computer?
2. Also, did anything happen before this issue appeared? Liquid spill, overheating, Windows update, etc?
@PC Monkey well I didn't use the laptop for 3 days but nothing happened either, I didn't do any updates or download anything. And it just says PVE exe some numbers and stuff and boot failed
@@PC_Monkey i fixed it, i just set up an admin password and user password and when i restarted it, it worked. thank you for your help

Can you try the diagnostic test as seen here? ua-cam.com/video/eO6jJmpaRbo/v-deo.html
@@PC_Monkey didn't work😔
@@Creole_marmalade How did the diagnostic test not work? Could you not run it? Did it give you an error when you tired?
@@PC_Monkey yes said i dont have a operating system installed on my hard drive.
@@Creole_marmalade Sounds like the diagnostic test worked :) It seems your hard drive is good but the issue is with your operating system. You would then need to reinstall it.
You can see how to install Windows 10 here: ua-cam.com/video/dxmJOYXkhPU/v-deo.html.
You can create Win10 Install Media for free as seen here; ua-cam.com/video/YbC4jZVwQm4/v-deo.html.
You can see how to install Windows 11 here: ua-cam.com/video/Yiy-53Wc-Wo/v-deo.html.
You can create Win11 Install Media for free as seen here: ua-cam.com/video/WIxDYRBVbmk/v-deo.html
If you cant create your own, you may have to purchase it. You can see an example of a good install media USB in the Repair Tools list here; www.amazon.com/shop/pcmonkey.
So, just a lesson to everyone. When you take apart your laptop to blow a tiny bit of air into your fan to clean it, you have to put the battery back correctly AND PLUG IT IN Jesus almighty. Lol
The hard drive* not battery

Lenovo 82lx0050us. Hard Drive not found. I've taken it to two repair facilities, they both state the hard drive is actually MISSING from the computer. It has never been opened that we can tell. The computer sits at the BOIS message, then gives no option to locate any boot options. It worked one night, the next morning it didn't I don't know what to do!
My brother's ThinkPad t430s wont take his hard disk in the main bay cause it cannot fit in , so he put it in the ultra bay but his pc cant detect it , does it mean bootiñg only works with the HDD in the main port and not in the ultrabay?
