We had a beautiful maiden flight on our new Arrows T-33 50mm rc EDF jet warbird until the landing went bad. It happens! Also what I get for using bad hot glue. Nothing more and better hot glue can't repair. And that is why I love foamies!

Have Abby do a video of how she designs and prints the decals please! Especially a layered decal
She uses the Cricut machine to make the stencils. They're avail at Michael's Craft Store or Hobby Lobby
You two can be really childish. LONG MAY IT CONTINUE!!!! Nate's laugh makes me smile.
Lovely looking aircraft that T-33. Great guys. Keep 'em coming. Thanks.
When I worked for the USDA Forest Service, Groveland Ranger District, there was a jet corridor between the National Forest and Yosemite National Park. I manned a lookout tower that had a birds eye view over some of the most beautiful country on this wonderful planet and also could see miles of the training lane where T33s would hone their mountain flying skills. When they were about ten miles out I would catch a glint off their wings, in the afternoon sun, as they made the turn northward after departing California's Castel Air Force base. Every day I would run out to the rail of my fire lookout tower and wave as the planes streaked past, quite some distance from my perch at the top of Pilot Peak (yes, that was the name of the mountain I was assigned to). After months of waving I thought that the Air Force pilots, more than likely, could not see me. In the late fall I was beginning to close my tower when a T33 came steaming in from the opposite direction. I did not have time to do anything but stand up and wave as the jet rocked its wings as it flashed about 25 feet from the railing of the metal tower. It was amazing, what a rush! I had been seen and what a nice greeting from a full scale, and very skilled, pilot. I love everything that fly's and that day was such a treat. Nate, I hope you can get that plane back together and that you create some great memories with it. Thank you for reminding me of some good times. Blessings.
Cool story Craig, thanks for sharing, I find it interesting that my Dad was at Castle AFB and flew T-33's for primary jet training in the early 60's. He said it was his favorite plane to fly of all time, super sweet. I'm lucky he is still with us, he flew over 150 missions piloting the B-52 over Vietnam, I will ask him about that lookout tower at Pilot Peak. Take care, God bless.
Thank you both for your stories. They were great stories and rather uplifting.
Great vid hay Abby put capt Nate under the windows like a real jet has.
Just call it a Hawk LOL
I'm pretty surprised about what looked like really nice 'low speed' ability and that sound is a nice surprise! That's not a bad break either, like a purpose crumple zone.
I think a black lightening bolt would be cool. A set of black stars might also be cool, a strip of three in a row or maybe a cluster of some sort.
OH NO WAY WOW!!!! I was literally thinking of a lightning bold just seconds before Nate said lightning bolt! Crazy!! :D
Abby has a brand new toy...and we are going sticker crazy. You go girl. Hey Nate: Josh over at Flite Fest says if the glue sick is clear...no bueno.
Put a big "Spade" on that Yellow fuselage stripe!!!! Will look perfect in Bold Black!!!
To make that T-33 look really cool, I would suggest LEDs in the rear engine with some fibre optic strands to simulate an afterburner effect (and maybe an RC Saylors skull and crossbones decal on the vertical stab)!
Haven't seen the T-33 modeled much, that one looks good! Easy fix, you got lucky on the crummy hot glue! 😁
Love the idea for Abby to do a video about how to use the cricut with models!!! My idea for a sticker is an American Flag. A flag would be a great example of a layered sticker. Hey, another idea, an RC Saylor's flag and not necessarily a sticker.
Kinda early squad where you guys at even in the snow you can still fly airplanes happy flying all 😎😎😎⚓️⚓️⚓️⚓️
Looks good
Awesome video
Loved it
Thanks for sharing. Abby what is this new machine Nate is raving about. Also, you can print “Abby Magnet” on the belly. Cheers.
Great flying jet, yes it can run 4s. Really brings it to life
I think you should call that aircraft the "ABBYNATOR"!
good luck with that AMA claim Amy ;) - Clearly dangerous flying! ;)
Lol..
Beautiful flight; not a bad icy landing 👍
Good to see ya,
I added a rudder, makes it even better, also think of adding flaps in the future. Yes the wing screws do give a problem, back ones are fine, but you have to squeeze the fuselage to get the front ones to line up, no big deal if you know what you are suppoost to do
Nate and Abby are GREAT Demo Product Pilots..... Showing YOU what the HOBBY SHOP Products they want to sell....
Hold on.. what are you talking about? Are you aware we crashed this plane on camera and showed it breaking in half? We’ve also shared huge airplanes from other companies exploding on camera.. I’m not sure you are making a fair judgement of character here…
Love em
How lucky was that that it just snapped right there! That would've been cool if you could get low enough to get a dusting of snow to fly up during a full throttle pass - also be cool to see the same as you're flying at the lake.. see the water 'part way'
Both look Good, Glad you can fix
yay it lives and she didn't get hurt .
The tip tanks need out side yellow , fuselage stripe outlined in red of the tank tips. red "warning intake" triangles in front of intakes
What receiver would you recommend for this T-33 jet???
I have a Spectrum dx6e transmitter.👍 I want to make sure I have as3x and safe so my son may fly it as well.😁
So what hot glue sticks work best for epo?
What would you say is a good beginner warbird? I always see these awesome warbirds but know I am not skilled enough to get one. What would be the best?
Anyone can answer
I think it would be cool to use a Flying Tiger motife on the nose like a WWII P40. Or, repaint it FDE and do the Flying Tiger nose, and flames on the fuselage with WWII decals on the wings and tail!! I think that would look cool!!
Oh man that would look so cool!! I think I’m going to end up needing an air sprayer 😉👍😎⚓️
Nathen try Harker Sidney Hawk, that's who made them, originally not BAE . just an idea xx great work as always . bravo xx
Did you hand launch with stabalization on or off?
Or instead of a "Spade" on the yellow stripe a playing card.... The Ace of Spades on the broad yellow band!!!
A bandaid design over the wing body breaks to remember the crash, LOL!
Dang bro. Getting wild there. Some low passes.
This thing sort of looks like a speed racer from Star Wars, right? Low to the ground 👍😁😎⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors you went Limbo low
Anybody recomend a good brand of hot glue mine came from the local hardware store and does not hold anything with a smooth surface??
Hey Nate can you do a vid on receiver set up?
Hey love the channel, I'm an pilot and I'm actually really considering this hobby. Love the edfs. Surprisingly if I can't seem airspeed, and vertical decent rate I fly terribly(for RC cuz im not sitting on it obv haha) so I destoryed a little trainer I had. But it had a good life.
Hiiiiii love ur vids
Just out of curiosity, would this be a good EDF trainer or something else?
Was it very windy? I noticed some aileron twitching. Maybe it's the gyro but didn't notice it when you flew the BAE Hawk? Thanks for the video!
i thik for safe landing in bottom of wings add a 5mm depron with triangle shape for safe landing in grass thats what i to do for edf with out landing gear
Happens to the best of us Nate! Still a great video!
Love my T33 from Arrows. I think a red stripe around the fuse in the middle of the yellow. And don't be afraid of a shark mouth on the nose!
I found myself looking for the link for the hot glue gun.
Abs got her Crickit? Y ou should do a review of it. Those things are pretty cool. I dont think theyre that expensive are they?
You've now mentioned this simple to setup receiver+stabilizer on a couple of your videos... would you post a link to where this item can be found? Thanks.
It comes with the plane Bill. 😃🛩👍
So, who was getting the awesome drone shots with the sea plane in the previous video?
Can you also make a review of CS02 quadcopter drone
Looks like a good price for the planes. What kind of hot glue gun did you get?
was that purpose for a low and extreme close shot.
What state are you guys in?
Keep on Flying in the Free World !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Woot! 👍💯😁😎⚓️
Cool EDF jet sounds nice also. It seems to fly very well with that stabilization system. You got lucky with that clean break. I use Gorilla glue sticks they work very well. Anything I've glued and had to take back apart I had to use a razer blade to cup it. It didn't just pop apart by prying on it etc. Definitely a cool jet Looks awesome.
Nice flight Nate other than doing the kamikaze landing into Abby's boot 😁😂 🤣
Nice job as always Abby you took that hit like a trooper 😁🔥👍✌️
jets like that have the pilots and co pilots name on the fuselage under the canopy where they sit in the aeroplane
Glad you mention AMA insurance, for some reason Brian Phillips RC doesnt deem it as well to promote it.
How about a blue eagle head each side on the yellow part of the fuselage beak pointing forward.
That sounds awesome! 👍😁😎⚓️
Where is the static display T-33?
Ran out of runway? Isn’t that an inactive full scale runway? Not sure why you were landing right towards you. But I commend you for showing it.
Can we see more of the wraith 1.9
Cold may have made it brittle as well, wind-chill factor.
thats like the 50mm sky angels ...i have 2 of them...they used to come stock with 5 blade edfs...that one must be a 10-12 blade...thats why it sounds like a jet...
I do wish Arrows would make these planes with landing gear like they did the F-86. The only ones I've been able to find with LG are 2 to three times the price.
Noooo! I crashed my 1.2m p51 and I still haven't been able to replace it yet. But crashing is part of the hobby
Omg Nate Abby maybe horizon hobbies next decorator of their airplanes. I just love you guys keep up the good work the guy across the river from you Dave and Linda
build transparent Canopy for the BAE HAWK !
The 8 you are searching for is called a Cuban 8 I believe.
... Not sure the RAF's Red Arrows would be as excited about your Hawk colour scheme...! How would the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds feel, do ya think? Just watch those Blue Angels flying their "Boing Faye 18" Super Hornets! 🤣 haha!
A "Lazy Eight" is a Horizontal eight written in the air by an aircraft. A "Cuban Eight" is a vertical eight in the sky and a "Revers Cuban Eight" is half an eight intended to the change direction of flight (like an Immelmann turn, only a little different). The Cuban Eight was coined/invented by an American pilot that served with the Cuban Air Force.
Yes the Arrows T-33 50mm will oprerate just fine one 4s in stock form ive been flying mine noe for over 18 months on a 1500 4s battery and i can fly flat out fast for 5 minutes with 45 to 50 percent left in the battery charge...So ya know its running efficient enough to fly that long and not be low on battery life...Plus i use a infered gun and the ESC N Motor still run plenty cool. Go 4s Guys its way more fun to fly it that way...i know mine does at least 110mph at level flight
My Better Half has made several sets of decals for some of my planes with her Circut, including several sets of "Air Hooterville" decals for my "Green Acres" hangar, and the "Planedemic" decals for the planes I built during the height of the quarantine last year.
For the T-33, though, I have no suggestions, as I tend to like the prototype paint scheme of the USAF birds. That's not a snark at the idea of adding anything to the plane, just that I have no ideas for what else would look good on it. If I had one of these, though, I think I'd be very tempted to paint it in the Thunderbirds scheme, as the USAF Demo team did fly the T-33 for a while. Google images of the T-33, and enjoy the many different embellishments they were given over the years (including a few with the classic "shark teeth").
Obviously you have to decorate a “victory mark” below the canopy Abby’s name with a 🚫 over it.
lol.. it is just the hawk... BAE are the manufacturer LOL
Hey guys. I am asking advice from anyone i can get. So my brother got a RC plane, a knock off cub sport, and he has been letting me fly it. it is super fun and stable. now that i have gotten the hang of it (with flight stabilization OFC), i would like one of my own. since my B-day is coming up, i have been binge watching you guys. I was wondering if, since , I like all WW2 and present day military planes, after getting used to flying on a trainer, I could possibly move up to the warbird corsair. Because it is one of my favorite planes, i was wondering if it would be a lot more prone to crashing, or maybe it is just not a beginner friendly plane. Any help with this decision would be nice :)
Can you do a plane storage tour, and how much does it cost you per year to buy all the airplanes, and stuff like that. I just got my first airplane it’s a Carbon Cub S2 1.3mm and I haven’t flown it yet, I got my rc plane because of you and Brian Phillips, I love watching your videos! Thank you for all the help your videos have done to help me chose my first plane!
I hope Abby is ok!
Every time you make a new video I always watch it!
2:42 "As long as I don't crash it.."
Haha I always do that! I always jynx myself! 😂⚓️
That was really good piloting. Sad about the landing. Probably would have been better if the landing site wasn't so close.
Very much agreed. Thanks! 👍😁😎⚓️
Purple goes good with yellow so how about purple lightening bolts
Ooh I like the sounds of that! 👍😁😎⚓️
i think that a design like the blue angles or thunder birds i feel like that would look really cool on the t-33
Technically, the T-33 would be Thunderbirds. However, at one time the Blue Angels DID have a couple of T-33s in their livery, but just as liason aircraft, not for shows. And another company had the T-33 in the Angels colors, but it's no longer in production.
@@martykarr7058 i didn’t know that. Thank you for sharing that is very interesting.
Is that Vinton County airport in Ohio?
If it doesn't already have a name let's call Abby's maneuver a "Lazy Eight" since the 8 is laying down. If you did the maneuver with the eight upright, meaning one loop above the other instead of side by side, then is that a figure eight?
Poo, I hate that for your first flight on that nice looking plane Nate. That was great flying though.
It's a great looking military paint scheme as it is.
If it were me I'd leave it as is and decorate up some other non military plane.
High wing trainer planes are a great canvas for going nuts with paint and stickers...
That was definitely a great flight, except for hitting Abby. Lol
Looks like it flies on rails!
Am I the only one thinking: don't add decals, keep it original!?
I’ll admit, it does look great with the original design. However, when one’s wife has a “sticker making machine” one must put stickers on everything!! Lol.. 😂👍😁⚓️
@@TheRcSaylors She can surely start with her own cars, boats and planes! ;-)
Guys.... everybody knows that a figure 8 pattern without the roll out of it is called an "Abbey 8" 😉
Do you do Motion products? I have the Freewing 80mm T-33. It’s a pleasure to fly.
Some brands have very different moral beliefs than we do and refuse to give certain brands our money or promote them. I know, most people don’t feel like we do, but for us following our beliefs can be more important than quality of product or experience (not saying anyone is better than any other in this comment) so to answer your question, no. I hope you can understand. I wish I could say more, but being “who we are” we sometimes learn the true character of companies very quickly..
@@TheRcSaylors Okay, you have your beliefs and that’s fine. I mean I love Horizon and Motion both. I was just curious.
That tail looks more like an F-94. The all weather F-94 was a very deadly aircraft in the Korean War.
Maybe try H King Vak 11 could hold better
Oh my gosh no. H King has gotta be the worst company out there now. I wouldn’t have said this a few years ago, but now they are complete garbage. I have a plane I ordered from them months ago sitting in my basement completely destroyed right now, just from delivery and they refuse to do anything about it. I’ve also gotten servos that are DOA and again nothing. Banggood has 10X better customer service than H King. I miss the old H King.
Happy I like the idea of checkers and on the undercarriage some kind of stripes or something possibly red
HIII!
Just Spraypaint the whole T-33 fluorescent pink, cockpit canopy and all, like a ten year old, and forget it came from the Arrows factory looking as much like a real one as possible! Not sure where you're going with this on your channel, might work for the kids but I'm happy with great "production model" reviews. If you feel the need (and the brands you support don't actually mind your "customisation"!), why not do a different style "this is not a review, this is a video of a whacky altered paintjob" so we know what we're getting before sitting though the video. If you want to make your own "own look" planes, why not partner up with FliteTest and actually build something? Big respect for those guys!
These are toys. We play with our toys. Sometimes it’s FUN to put stickers on our toys. We’ve never claimed to be a review channel. Since when did this hobby stop being fun for you, or is fun for you bullying others online out of enjoyment? Seriously Kevin!? Wow..
@@TheRcSaylors This hobby has never stopped being fun... Don't kid yourselves about how this channel comes across and that really is a GOOD THING. I've been following you for a couple of years now and you don't fly like they are toys (and the brands you feature don't sell them as toys, but as models! It's quite an expensive hobby if you get it wrong). I have bought ALL my current RC planes based on your channel (sadly in the UK your affiliate links don't work with UK stores, sorry you don't benefit, but trust me, the brands do, all over the world)... that says a lot, and I'm willing to bet I'm not alone, probably thousands would agree... I'm looking at next purchase right now... and bullying? Seriously? C'mon! My other comment about the Hawk was a gentle dig, playing with your earlier "Bay" mistake, as you've already done yourself on this and other videos (yeah, enough now, or we'll start digging about how you call taps "faucets" and trousers "pants"!). This comment really ain't much different. All I suggest is you perhaps separate your big kid content (its allowed, its entertainment for some!) with the more informing "look whats new from..." because people DO care... don't underestimate that... and my Flitetest suggestion was serious, I'd love to see how you guys would get on with their kits and build packs... I've never tried them, but love their content too. I'm sure you'd do an absolutely fabulous job, and they can be as whacky as anyone wants them to be... If you feel I've been negative, then I am genuinely sorry, but I felt your standard has been so high in the past and it's not reflected here. thats not bullying, thats critique... I look forward to seeing your next videos. Kx
...and to be fair, nothing wrong with fluorescent pink at all, you'd certainly see it on camera better in this duller winter light, and you did actually ask for suggestions!! 😜🤣
Sounds like a tie fighter to me.
Ooh yeah it sort of does! I like that! 👍😁😎⚓️
I think you owe Abby dinner!
Done and done 👍😁⚓️
On top of jet put {land this side up}🙃
Skull & Cross bones on the yellow stripe
Oops!! 🙊 So that’s why I was always told to never fly at myself.
You could call the B.A.E. Red Arrow since that's the paint scheme
