Thanks a lot! I changed all 4 brakes on my Honda lately and only the left rear wheel was creaking like old ship! I was very confused because seems like I did all things in the same way. But as it was my first wheel that I started with, seems like I forgot to put that brake lubrication on all spots. Now I know what to look for. Thanks again!
Thank you so much, that same sound was driving me crazy, I must it have check every bushing, joint, etc a whole lot of bunch of times and just couldn't find it till I came across this wonderful and amazing video, thanks a million man
Exact same noise coming from the front of my 2005 Ford Fivehundred. It’s a very loud creaking just like this video, but I can feel it in my pedal and hear it coming from the pedal too (on the other side of the firewall, where the brake booster is. Is it common for return springs to get really loud like that?
I have the same noise but only happens when the wheels get wet. Any idea why?
Great explanation ❤thanks
My 07 Pontiac g5 just started making the exact same noise think I need new brake drums? I replaced the shoes just not the drums
I have a Dodge Nitro w/ 4 wheel disc brakes. I hear that noise at each wheel when pressing and/or releasing the brake. Any idea what that would be?
Thanks man!
What if you have disc brakes instead of drums
I’m wondering the same thing
I’m having the same sounds but I don’t have drum brakes. 2021 charger
What if its coming from the front wheels same noise and whennot running as well 2013 mustang
By any chance did you get it fixed? I also have a 2013 mustang and the front wheels make the same noise
We are all on the same boat lol@@erikhernandez3737
What is that lubrication used
Anti seize
Is it dangerious to drive with something like this? I have an Audi TT 2016 model and this comes when pressing the brake
What if similar sound is on front wheels?
ive encountered that with the backing plates of the brake pads if theyre really worn or with dirt underneath or the brake pad retainers on the caliper needing lubrication
At first I thought that brake pedal and its spring is the problem but this is exactly what I am dealing with right now on front disk brake. It is old Peugeot 106 with bendix system. I hope that cleaning and lubricating will help.
@@oggy4418 good luck, i hope its just that as well
In dealing with this now as well as a continuous squeaking sound as I break...
My brake grease keeps disappearing and the noise starts again after a little while any ideas why
Could be the little rubber boot needs replacing on the caliper pins. It holds the grease in.
Starwheel isn't tight enough
Same here, I've greased the backing plate, changed the shoes, swaps out the drums, the wheel cylinder is not leaking and looks good. But whenever i depress the brake pedal, I'll hear a grown from the back if depressed slightly. And if i cruise with my foot off the brake and very slightly depress the brakes I'll hear a continuous grown on and off for as long as my foot is on the brake. It's driving me nuts.
@@zinebham the splash shield could be bent and rubbing the back part of the rotor
My cars clutch pedal sounded like that for 16 years
I have a very similar sound on my back rear while apply a light brake application. It's a 2016 with disc brakes. Any idea what it could be? I re-lubricated the caliper pins and it seemed good for a few days but now it back.
Could be the brake hardware..try cleaning em and lubricating the brake pad where it slides across it..or even possibly the brake caliper where it presses against the brake pad..ive experienced situations like that causing it to make noise
@backyardchevy hii sir. I have a question I have the same creaking noise when pushing the brake pedal but I don’t know from where is coming from, because I heard it from the front when I’m inside the car but when Iam outside I heard it from the back in the case the noise comes from the front what could it be ? Thank you
@@hanselldisla4643 well the front could be a few things...the caliper when it presses the brake pads together..they have backing plates that can kinda make a creaking noise when pressed against..or the brake pads sliding across the brake pad retainers that can also make noise like that...or even the brake caliper guide pins if not lubricated properly
Yes you right I was cheking the brake fews days ago and I did lubricated all the caliper pins but now this make sense to me the backplate of the brake pads they’re loose from the brake pads so I tried to put it back together but maybe they get loose everytime I push the brake and most likely I heard the noise is when I got the foot on the brake and push the brake pedal all the way down slowly and then release the brake and push again all the way down. Thank you for the info I will be cheking them tomorrow.
@@hanselldisla4643 hopefully ur able to fix the issue..good luck🙂👍
I have the same problem. Issue is, after servicing the rear breaks, the noise goes away for few months. Then it comes back again. Is there a permanent fix ? I was advised to change the backing plate by the mechanics
Can this cause your brakes to go low?
Heellloooo😆😆
Ur not little friend is heeereee😙😙
Hello buddy🙂
Wrong, here's the correct fix
1: light van on fire
2: call the insurance company
3: deposit check from insurance company
4: purchase vehicle with DISK BRAKES
5: never let the wife drive replacement vehicle
Problem solved!!!!
Lol
how to solve this issue exactly? and what causes it?
Well its the way its rubbing against the backing plate..so when the brake pedal is depressed the brake shoes rub against the backing plate..so cleaning all that gunk behind it and lubricating it..puts a layer between and its been gone since
