It's so nice to see someone young going through the process. I am scheduled to get bypass and am so scared, excited and just fearful of failure and new things. This helps!
I am a new subscriber. I am glad your channel was suggested. There seems to be a lot of gastric sleeve channels but not as many gastric bypass. My question is how many sizes have you gone down? If you had high numbers of BP, cholesterol or glucose how much better are they now?
I had slightly higher BP than normal and my cholesterol was a little high. My A1C was always good. However, all of these numbers are significantly better now!
Hi, you look great!!, btw, can you show us how to cook the cauliflower rice with shrimps, looks absolutely delicious or do you have a link of the recipe?
I will definitely make sure to film it the next time I make it!! I don't have a recipe, I just made it up but I used soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, honey and sesame oil to season the veggies and shrimp!
I’m a booked in next week but I’m worried because a lot of these meal plans people are following are from home. I work at my office everyday, what do people eat when they don’t have cooking facilities? 💜
Walking is my favorite way to exercise! Its what I did a lot for the first 6-8 months post op. Now i've incorporated more strength training and I've recently started using the elliptical, which I love. Find something that you like, I always suggest walking starting out, plug in some headphones with good music and just zone out for 30 minutes!
You look like such a nice soul if that makes sense, but I liked watching this video because honestly I have OBSESSED over calories, carbs, sugars and especially my weight I can honestly say I weigh myself more then I did when I was heavy. I’ve reached my personal goal weight however not the goal weight the surgeon gave lol but it’s all mind games and I feel like I’m so worried about what I’m eating that my relationship with food isn’t getting any better. Like I want to be able to eat something “not so good” and no over stress or over think of how many pounds I possibly gained or not lost. Sorry it was long
i always eat around 6 times a day, ive lost a total of 71kg in 16 months now! its like a whole new person, i love havin my surgery donee, i aim for 90-300 calories every meal.
@@AmySmith-hh5yn hey 😊 no i havent unfortunately, but im havin skin removal surgery next month, so it is going good! 76 kg down so far, even tho im underweight instead. Has gone a bit too far i guess but im still happy 😊
If you don’t mind can you do a video on lose skin if you have it or not and what if any plans to do with it skin removal or not etc and thank you for the good content.
I'm only 4 months post-op (VSG) right now and still only eating a tiny tiny bit (your breakfast would be my food for the whole day at least). When did you notice that you were eating more "normalish" portions? I sometimes wonder if my surgeon made my stomach too small lol. Your meals all look so balanced and delicious! Thanks for sharing with us!
I think 2-4 oz of food is normal right now in your journey. I stick to 4-5oz per meal and I've been eating 3-4oz per meal since i was probably 5ish months post op! Thank you! Thanks for watching!
@@carolinrny9883 yeah, I’m still trying to figure out what sits right for me, it’s been a process but it’s been fun to figure out! Thanks for sharing your journey! :-)
I wish I could just weigh my total food! On this pre-op diet they have me track every bite. It makes me a little crazy. But I guess it keeps me conscious of what I'm eating. But I love the flavor combinations you use with food! Everything looks so good. You've done an amazing job! A lot of people keep on losing in the 2nd year after surgery too, so just keep on keepin' on. 😁

So happy I found your channel! Going through the bariatric program right now and hoping to schedule surgery this summer.
I’m going through the same process. Did you happen to have your surgery?
I’m a 11 months out and have only lost 20lbs. I eat too much. I’m working on it. Thank you for your video.
10 months out and I’ve only lost 50lbs. I’m so frustrated
W have lentil (rice)cakes, they are an amazing source of protein!

How many ounces were you eating at 6months post op? Do you jut weigh your food total or just weigh the protein?

Have you eaten hot Cheetos ???
Thanks for sharing. You provided a lot of great tips. I like the way you approach eating. Counting intake makes me anxious as well.

sooo happy to hear Dr. Fitzer's office doesn't have you counting calories and macros.
Love your videos, glad I’m not the only one who has a cardboard box in the kitchen as the “recycle box”….!
I need to ask you something so when can you have like breakfast burrito I just had the bariatric surgery 2 months ago
Can you eventually have bigger portions later on
You are doing fabulous! Keep on keeping on.
I have never added milk and/or half and half. Going to try. Thank you.
It's so good!
I’m almost two months post op and still can’t really tolerate bread, when did you notice you could start eating bread again?
probably around 6-8 months out, but it still doesn't sit very well even at 2 years post op

Where do you get meal ideas from?
I do a lot of scrolling through pinterest/tiktok and I watch a lot of cooking videos on UA-cam. And i just get inspired by ingredients i have at home

Wow that's intense but if it keeps you mindful that's great! Thank you so much! ❤️
