I just wanted to compliment you on such a well done video! I've been making yarn from sheep to skein and knitting for lots and lots of years, but I always find it fascinating to see how others do the same (and my process is quite similar to yours) But your video would be excellent for all experience levels (I think anyway!) Well done!

You might want to invest in a pair of solid wool combs if you want to separate the tog and thel. You can still comb if you don't want to separate the fiber. The wool combs are great for getting rid of 95-100% of the vegetable matter. I comb all my fleeces even if I am planning it put on my drum carder. The combed fiber puts less stress on the tines of my carder. (expensive piece of equipment) I have a medium to fine carding cloth on the carder and I don't want to damage it. I put the fiber through my carder at least 2 times, more if I am blending batts. The result is consistent airy batts that draft beautifully onto my spindle or wheel. Love you Newfie mittens. Father's family was from Newfoundland.
