thanks for the video. I got a sofa reupholstered and there is so much loose and bulging fabric around the folds and some of the folds have disappeared even. I wonder where they messed up. I have asked them to fix it
Hello. there must be miscalculation in the drdrawing on the fabric, as all the rhombuses have to be drawn on the back of the fabric in order for them to be equally folded on to the foam
@@DirtySnales Thank you. Yeah they came over and tightened all the buttons a bit more and stretched the fabric out a bit. They also redid and neatened the folds. It looks much better now.

just pick any random size rhombus and try to fit them in one line horizontally, then do the same vertically. If they do not fit properly them reduce or increase the rhombus
DirtySnale thanks for your reply to answer your question not as of yet, as soon as I move I’m sure I will and I will post a picture thanks for asking stay safe and have a great day ttyl😊
I’m finding that the Diamond pattern isn’t naturally occurring in some of my tufts, like maybe there is extra fabric so there isn’t a fold, this is happening the further from the center I go. What am I doing wrong?
I just completed this project using your video!! I cannot tell you how grateful I am, it is such a great feeling to have finished it! Thank you so much for this video and your comments and answers. One last question: at around 5:05, you fold the pleats in such a neat way to make them all neat, single lines. all of my buttons are up and the edges are tacked to the back and I've been trying to get the pleats between the buttons to be nice and neat but they do not seem to be cooperating. Could you give me any tips on folding such a straight line pleat? Thanks in advance!
I am so pleased that this video was so useful for you. Can you please give me more details about the pleats: are they not folding at all? are they folding but not straight? are they folding but pleats are very loose and can be very easily undone?

@@DirtySnales so when I form one with my hands and a chopstick I can get one to fold into a neat line but when I go onto the next i often pull the first one apart a bit. I'm afraid there isn't enough height to the foam in the middle since they're a little loose (I used 5cm thick foam). I'm not sure it's something that can be solved with a folding under technique unfortunately. The sides however are super neat and tight because I could control the length of the fabric there much more easily. Is there any way to show you a photo?
@ Its not enough material left to make pleats so you can try to make smaller pleats ( squeeze the diamond foam and you will get a bit more material for pleats) let me know if that helped. Unfortunately there is no option here to send pictures

after you have the foam onto the board, push the fabric with your fingers into the holes to estimate for much bigger your diamond shapes should be on the fabric. Have a look at my other tufting video with much clearer instructions
