You are definitly one of my favorite trumpeters. I try to watch every video you are in with the Marine Band, Barclay Brass and a time or two with Seraph brass. I am an ex music teacher/trumpeter, who is too old to do much playing anymore but I certainly enjoy listening. In my under graduate studies and graduate studies, there weren't any female trumpeters. I'm glad that has changed and that you are one of them. Thank you...
"Breaking Barrriers" is a misnomer, the right person for any job is based on their skill set and talent, not their sex. If she was the best person for this spot, then Congratulations. It stops there.
Amy. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Congratulations on your 1st Trumpet promotion!
Joe...thanks for watching and commenting. Amy is an absolute class act!

Marcello...thanks for watching! I'm an Amy McCabe fan too!
Amy mentions Nancy Taylor- she’s my teacher! The biggest reason I got the USAF Ceremonial Brass job was her guidance and faith in me.
That’s awesome, Ernie!
She’s such a class act.
Indeed she is!!

Absolutely the best person for the job! And she happens to be the first woman in the 225 year history of the band. It’s worth celebrating!
