I finally have one at the Studio and I have to say - I have always imagined Radio Control Monster Trucks being Gas powered, and when I was younger - I was shocked to find out that all RC's that had engines were running on Nitro. Well, the day has finally come that I own a Gasser! SO SUPER DUPER COOL! I don't know too much about this truck as I haven't run it yet - so I can't really give any operating opinion yet - but I can say that this thing is impressive to look at! In this video I unbox this monster truck and let you peek at whats under the hood!
I know a lot of folks ask me to give information in the video description, so here it is:

The driving capabilities of the LST XXL 2 are complimented by the AVC technology system. AVC automatically adjusts the driving characteristics of the LST XXL2 to match its ferocious power so you can drive faster with more control. With advanced durability and legendary Losi 4WD performance, little stands in the way of you and all-out RC excitement when you’re in command of the LST XXL 2.
The included power plant in the LST XXL 2 is a high-performance gasoline engine that has been designed for peak performance. Requires the use of Dynamite High Performance Small Block 2-Cycle Oil. One 282cc bottle treats one gallon of gasoline for a 14:1 premix ratio. Dynamite High Performance Small Block 2-Cycle Oil must be used in a 14:1 premix ratio with Dynamite .31 Gas Engine (5.1cc).

a LiKE click is always appreciated for my work, thank you!
I do 10 tank in my nitro rcs is that ok?
Yuppers
Martin Ssr I wouldn't buy something cheap to start with, because hes a beginner, quality will keep him interested if he crashes, it will be less likely to break it and there is nothing wrong with traxxas, start him with a 1/10 slash or slash 1/16 just get brushless so you wont have to up grade
Charles Joyce dont get a traxxas? why do you say that? personally for a beginner theyre perfect, 1. theyre durable, on my slash 4x4 all i have broken is driveshafts and thats because i run 3s witch typically you wouldnt do as a beginner, i just recently broke a caster block but i was doing speed runs and lost control 2. part availability. if something does break, your local hobby town will most likely have whatever you need.
***** Nothing wrong with some of the Traxxas rigs... My PedeRacer is still kickin', original XL-1 Stampede, modified over time, lots of it....LOL We have a Mini-Revo brushless, neighbors have three mini summits.... I'd love a Pede 4x4 and Rustler... of 1/10 Revo brushless. Just noticed the Telluride and the little 1/18 stuff the other day, may look into that myself for mini fix and kiddos... depending on interests, the Vaterra K5 Blazer or Axial SCX10 are also trucks on my list, as well as the Vaterra Camero SS. Savage Octane anyone....hahaha. Proboat brushless behind a scale truck will likely be my next RC project with wheels... Losi Mini 8ight or mini 8ight-t ? RC10T 4.2? Get a good charger as well as 3-4 lipos... safety first with lipo, stress that to beginners always...
I really appreciate your work to entertain people like me!!!!!!
Looks good! What a nice RC!
Wow, that truck looks awesome!!
I have a Horizon hobby rc
Good to know, alex.
That's a beautiful truck, brotha. Can't wait to see it tearing up your new track.
Awhh man!!! Your evil medic... Gun metal chrome wheels, dynamite pipe, huge red shocks, all super clean and shiny and you put it up to be continued. Oh the humanity!!! The RC receptors in my brain are jumping around so fast it's got my skin crawling like a junkie needs a fix. Just dangle it in my face and take it away... Must. Get. It . Dirty...
MORE MUD! MOTTO MUD DES!!!!
That thing in the small bag are losi shock clamps u put one on top and one and bottom when u want to change ur shock oil
BEAUTIFUL Truck! I want it!!
My buddy bought this truck and the motor seized on the third break in tank of gas. Losi did back the motor up and replaced it. This truck is pretty awesome, walks all over my MGT 4.6
Awesome looking truck. I used to own the Losi LST2. Lots of fun!!!
i have to say that is a gorgeous rc truck.
I love the paint scheme.
That truck is awesome! Can't wait to see it run.
Personally the noise of gas RCs drives me batty but they sure look cool. Thx again medic for the great video.
Back then it was nitro, then batteries came and now this two stroke wonder. Damn, you are so lucky medic
i love that truck...
maybe i'll get one next year...
Awesome looking truck! Can't wait to see some loud 2-stroke action in the dirt! :)
Winters coming! I hate it! I also love it!
Amazing truck!
Love the idea of a gasser. Something about the exhaust and sound..... Can't wait to see it run and the place is looking good man. Soon it'll all be buried with snow so enjoy it while you can!
that looks sick
I got to start saving if I'm ever going to get this.
Looks like a bad ass truck lol
hi my name is caden and i am your biggest fan i love your vids.
you guys rock
I know they're both called LSTs, but I was surprised how similar this truck is to my MLST2 in construction, aside from the obvious difference in powertrain. If it performs anything like the Mini, it'll be absolutely awesome.
Nice Medic
I knew you'd come around for one of these :)
Very nice monster, looking forward :-)
I like it. I might not like the idea of a 2 cycle engine so much, but given the size it makes more sense I suppose. Looking forward to seeing a running video, when it comes.
I have the original LST nitro truck from about 10 years ago and it looks exactly the same!! I can't believe they haven't changed it at all in all that time ha ha, except for the motor and avc of course. My LST has a reverse gear, I assume this still has reverse too? Awesome!
I enjoyed your video. I want to get back into 1/8 scale gas powered RC trucks. It's been a while. Hopefully the prices have gone down a little. You have the perfect backyard for the hobby. Merry Christmas!
There is one thing about this truck that is keeping me from buying it. One is that the connecting rod has a tendency to break from what I have read in a lot of different forums. And more than one owner has reported having to have several rods replaced. I don't know if it's an inherent problem with the metal they use, or if it's bad break-in procedures. And I found out today, they are going to discontinue this truck as well.
One thing I thought was weird is the mix ratio. At 14/1 that seems like a lot of oil in the gas. Weed eaters and chainsaws use a 50/1 ratio. But if that's what they recommend, then I guess that what you use, plus you have to buy their oil. I'm curious as to whether a good 2 stroke oil would work in its place.
Where does the battery go that powers the CDI and servos?
Nice truck, and another great video.
Nice unboxing Medic!
Nice. So they even broke it in for you huh. That's sweet
Rc studios
I understand that your garage is getting full of rc cars. I wouldn't mind at all if u gave me some to look after when u got no more room :)
Sincerely Jman
You've got money to spend to have fun guys for the hobby! 😎👍 awesome
Oh good god medic you got the truck I've been craving, I'm jealous ha
Id like a shot at water-cooling one of these. could totally be done!!!
Unbelievable an entire unboxing and not one mention of its cost.
Holy coincidence! I was just looking at these yesterday wondering why there was so few vids on them!

hey Medic, love your vids, i think u should do a Q&A I'm sure other people have questions and I find that Q&A's are very cool. Thanks
So jealous!!!!! Hate, absolutely despise the nitro in my lst2.... Electric conversion eventually
you been getting a lot of rcs lately
Oooo man i want to see you drive it
Nice truck medic
I was hoping you d get this! The savage xl octane is next..
Awesome man, this video was uploaded on my b day

did you move medic your do you just have some land to go play on?
My rc car right now is a 1/16 e Revo brush less it will be good to see your first rc
I do enjoy learning about rc from you I am just starting out I am going with a bx 4.18 what kind of upgrades do you recommend
Hi There.... did you try or any other person.... to run the engine with normal 2 stroke oil?
Mixture is 1:14 so maybe Gas and Oil from the Baja will work?
Would be pleased for a answer.
Have a nice day, best wishes from Germany
Daniel
Good stuff, any input on why you chose this one over the Octane? This LOSI looks like a great step toward gas drop ins for nitro kits.... Thanks for the video!
would you recommend the Losi Lst Xxl 2 or the new Hpi Savage Octane ??
Hey rc sparks what tires do you have on the beast I know this is not a beast video but I was just wondering
Could you do a video on the ECX Torment with the stock battery because I've been looking into it and some reviews are saying that the battery was to weak?
Did you move to that location? I think I heard something about it on FB.
You should unbox a Hpi Savage Octane.
Any chance of a heads up comparo between this and the HPI offering?
I bought mine about 2 months ago. I took it out of the box and now it is sitting on a shelf. LOL. But it keeps my other R/C's company.
ok, i have been watching your you tube video's for the last week.. I have been through so many videos wow i was gonna ask about an RC, i have had some older RC'S in the past nothing like the ones you have though.. Back to the point i was gonna ask for some help on what type of RC to get but, after seeing this one it has made my mind up for me, inless you know of something better you can suggest.. I live in the states far from an ocean and very rocky, like gravel rocky, good and hillie, dirt lots of woods and well that's about it.. I live in the country pretty much... Awsome video's btw just awsome A+ Vids and i am subscribed now. Your BUILDS that you do i really like watching those, i definitely would like the learn more about setting up the servos, the controller, how to basically get everything to work and sync up to the controller. I dont know if you will have the time to do that, but if you did i would watch it, it would help me out a lot, either way it's cool man keep up the good video's!!!!!
When I blow up my Nitro .21 Engine at the beach should I get another 3 port or go all out and get a 5 Port?
Medic please do a review on the 1/10 scale ecx ruckus 4x4 I would love to know your lovely Canadian thoughts on this truck
hi i have a question about the. losing let xxl21/8th scale gas powered monster truck
Looks Epic!! But I'am a eletric guy.
The thing you say you don't know what it is in the tool bag, is for rebuilding your shocks.
What is the best truck you think that is for beginners
Anything that is reasonably priced and you would like to have, just make sure you do the research first!
Ok but I have never owned one so witch one would be the best and cost worthy
It comes down to what you want to do with your truck really. Do you want to go fast on road and drift around? Do you want to go fast and do jumps on dirt and small rocks? Or do you want to go slow and get over really big obstacles? Once you know that you can start looking at cars that are that type.
Chrunch berries are in the box
Hey medic, have you ever thought of converting that dynamite .31 into a regular nitro offroad basher?
I have a similar truck called the lst super truck, this is the upgraded model to it
What was your first hobby grade rc medic?
Hi I'm learning from u. U are very helpful on Christmas I'm getting a rc racing truck electric can u help me about it and its a it a 1:10 scale and how big are they
you should buy the axial yeti kit
Is this losi petrol powered. Monster truck really be worth getting. Even with all of the problems. That people has had with it. Thank you.!?
Hey medic see if you can get a traxxas rustler. I've had som problems with mine. They are awesome
That is an excellent controller to have i know because i have one and it works great
I REALLLLLLY LOVE THIS ONE... Sorry medic but this for me is just pushes project Large out of the ballpark.. this must have its OWN ballpark to run in! shes a beauty call her "Elegant"
Beautiful truck, how much are they?
Omg awesome
Just a random question, sense halloween is coming up. Has anyone used their rc car for trick or treating? What I mean by that is by putting a halloween bucket on it and driving to people's doors.
Nice!
i will like all
When are u gonna bring the nitro out again for 2019 ?
Do the make gas water proof rc cars/trucks for mudding
love your videos, however i have a DX3R and never in my life have I dropped it in all my years of RC/drinking. It could be made of glass i wouldnt care, I take good care of electronics.
what ever happened to that tank war movie??
Do you sell Overkill truck with tracks?
that is one sexy truck.
Is it just me or does the front tires on the box look like different sizes
im subbed
where did you get it?
model land?
What do you do for a living? I wish I could buy these
He films, edits, and produces videos for us to enjoy on UA-cam. And he's making a nice living off of it.
Is there anything similar to this that I can buy?
