@@soewithanumber Working from morning to evening over the course of 5 days I managed to get it done and painted, only having to rush over a few of the bigger details on the sides in the end. As my first project like this, ever. In my experience, the biggest time saver was building a home-made bandsaw, out of placing a jigsaw upside down in a hole in workbench. Worked wonders! Without the right tools, like the dremel, wood boring drill, "bandsaw", hot air gun and right types of glue. And a good workspace, it would've taken more than 5x as long to get done, if possible at all! So "With the right tools", is a very big keyword. I have never made a cosplay before, and I’ve been following this tutorial for a few days now. I’ve finished up the basic shape and the teeth and it’s going well!! I’ll update down here ⬇️
I am up for the challenge! This is definitely the most complex build of Chainsaw Man’s head that I’ve seen, but I wanna give it a go. Building cosplay props is always fun, and very satisfying when it is completed. It’s cool to tell others that you made the props yourself, instead of buying them.
Just started working on this yesterday for my first project. Perfect template and only issues I've ran into is having a size 8 head, so I decided to just cut the rest of the back head pieces that size and the fill under, going with a more smooth skeletal look. Then omitting some of the intricate machinery aspecting and going with more muscle/tendon looking pieces for the jaw and to tie the head together to make it my own. Huge thank you for the build!!

Question. When you say "Smooth sanding drum", do you mean that the sand paper on the drum has been worn down? Or so you mean a higher grit (which would _technically_ feel "smoother" than a lower grit)?

I do have a (hopefully) quick question: I want to make the head-chainsaw to be able to actually mimic ( of sorts) the rotating saw blade of a chainsaw by using a small electro motor (batteries) . Will the foam be able resist the extra weight and tension?
For the head yes but you would probably need to add some kind of additional support in the middle of the chainsaw itself then skin it with foam. You’d have to test what would work best (something like pvc board)
THank you so much for providing this piece of content. Following the instructions was super easy and the outcome was indredible. I wore the cosplay to a convention and people were amazed. I hope I can create other cosplays in the future. Thanks for this awesome video!

Looks absolutely stunning! I have some questions about measurements, if you don't mind answering. 1. How long are the teeth? 2. What are the dimensions for the 6mm foam pieces, my foam is only 12" x18" and I'm not sure if it will fit the designs. 3. Will a hair dryer work in place of a heat gun? That's all, thanks in advance
Thanks! Teeth range from 2-3” Might need a longer piece the blade is about 24” long unless you had a seam Get a heat gun they are pretty cheap online 👍👍

i started building this about a year ago and im finally about to get back to working on it. i think im about halfway done, and i hope to finish by the weekend
Awesome! Have fun!
@@SKSProps especially towards the end of the video a lot of the visuals feel like they dont quite align with the instructions, specifically the thicknesses of foam being used on parts s and r, but theres a couple other times where that kind of thing happened. are these just things you changed after the fact?
Started making this for my self, amazing video btw. But for the teeth do you have a measure for how long they are or did you eyeball them?
Thanks! Eyeballed them but they are approx 2-3”
Been thinking of making my first cosplay of Denji/Chainsaw man for a good 5 mins
Do it!
@@SKSProps yea maybe should :P just watched the whole anime
Hi, amazing work loved it. Can i make this using cardboard ?
Thanks! Use whatever you have available
my school told me to cosplay using recycables so i thouught of making my own cosplay but the helmet was way too hard. but thanks to your template i think i can do it easily now ! Thanks !
Awesome have fun! 🙌
Thanks!
Teeth range from 2-3”
Might need a longer piece the blade is about 24” long unless you had a seam
Get a heat gun they are pretty cheap online
👍👍
@@SKSProps Thanks so much, I really appreciate it!
question, does anyone knowif i should scale the print?
i've got a 23" head and idk if printing this out will fit
I made it so part J adjusts it to fit your head no need to change the scale
Awesome prop man i love it so much lol. It just sucks that my mom wont let me make it so thats a huge disappointment but eh love ur content regardless
Wow this is amazing I wish I was this good at making things actually cosplaying as chainsaw man for Halloween and bought a chainsaw man mask on Amazon 🤣
That’s ok you’re still having fun. But as far as making it’s just about practice and persistence you get better with every build. I’ve also got a lot of easy to follow builds for new foamsmiths
ahahahha same bro
