- In today's Destiny 2 video I'm showing you how to achieve Advanced Warlock Movement. Warlock Movement can be the best or worst thing about this class. But once you master Warlock Movement it can make you one of the deadliest players in Destiny 2. So I'll break down how to warlock skate, Icarus dash, and other advanced movement tips to take your warlock gameplay from good to great!

I didn’t know you can icarus dash with just a single jump. I’m so used to tapping jump twice and icarus dash-jump-dash method. Thanks for this!

Hey Apathetic, I’m having trouble performing the boost you get off scroll wheel jumping on a slanted surface. Watching your mouse input, I think you are scrolling twice? Does it matter how how many jumps are being inputted? I’m playing at over 100 frames, so that shouldn’t be the problem
You figure it out yet? I’m always getting picked up in to the air taking lift off to float eeveytime I try to do it with 18 mobility
i can never get the scroll wheel off ramp launch to work. been playing warlock for 200+ hours and have been on scroll wheel jump for years, still can never get it. Is it fps based?
what shotgun and roll were you using for most of the gameplay with igneous and bottom dollar?

I just started warlock but I see people flying for a while and I do not know how to do that
What loadout are you using?
I used to be able to do skating easily back when I was starting as a warlock (it was one of the few things taught by my friend who got me into D2 ), but now that I have better gear, I seem to have a harder time doing it. Do you have any tips for that? My guess would be my mobility, so is the 40 mobi for strafing, also for skating? Thanks!
Really late reply lol but mobility is detrimental to skating. It increases your basic jump height, which means it takes longer for you to touch the ground again and reactivate burst. If you have high mobility its extremely noticeable how much slower you are
"i go for 4 mobility, but if you can run transversive steps, you'll probably be able to run less" transversives buffs strafe speed?
How can you do the icrus dash 2x I do it once and it goes on cool down

My brain can handle everything up until I need to crouch in a gunfight. For some reason I can never remember to do it, and if I lose my duel, I immediately think to myself "dang, I should have crouched right there" but then forget seconds later
Make crouch your r3 if your on console

Sometimes. Depends on my work schedule!
I use blink because it's not used often and throws people off, especially at close quarters and it also helps combat hunters jump ability

On PS4/PS5, you just gotta run, hold ⭕️. The second you finish sliding, you cast rift.

I think im being stupid but can you chain icarus dashes without heat rises? You were chaining them but didnt have heat rises activated
You can with heat rises. This footage is pre Icarus dash nerf.

I assume this was before Icarus Dash got nerfed. Either that or he has heat rises active.
Btw..just started leveling up a Warlock after 2 years of Hunter..probably won't go back because Warlocks have sooo many advantages i.e. autotracking

Blink is cool but I typically don’t recommend it.

Icarus dash was nerfed in season 15 you can only dash one time now

Sooooo...like the Hunter dodge , icarus dash it's a "get out of jail free card" except you have the "disadvantage " of having to jump 3 inches off the floor. Of course there is also the advantage of getting 1 every 4 seconds, not being able to be shot out of it and not having to spec into the dodge. So why is Bungie nerfing hunter dodge and not Icarus or Blink?
They already nerfed it so warlock only has 1 icarus dash. Dodge disables tracking and Aim assist which icarus dash doesn’t. Also, blink is terrible. So yeah that’s why they are nerfing dodge lol.
@@Apathettic yeah but it's one icarus dash dodge every 4 seconds. That's 4 icarus in the time you can do 1 Gamblers. Thought Hunters were the movement class... not anymore.

PSA: if you’re on console, let’s disable crossplay before playing pvp. Let’s level out the playing field unless you like being bagged by pc players and the disadvantages you have by being on controller

It’s old footage! Since then Icarus dash got nerfed so it’s not a console thing.

in other words, to be ablr to move appropriately, you are limited to that subclass. i know there's blink, really? bungie is forcing players into certain abilities. i want my money back.
