There's 1 hud I highly recommend and it's called Quakehud. It's my goto hud to use as it gives the game a unique flair while having all of the info you need be noticable and easy to understand. I also combined it with Uncle Dane's GTA4 styled pictures used in one of his videos and it just looks...dear god it just looks perfect.
if you prefer the default Hud I would definitely recommend the "Improved Default HUD" it's basically identical but add stuff like the additional stats and the ability to move around your character in the loadout screen
personally i like middlemann for competitive utility, and pizzahud cause its really pretty. zeeshud is also pretty but the creators a scumbag runt that should rot that put a virus in it if you wanna edit it

Default hud is perfectly fine imo.
i dont get people who hate on the default hud, it looks clean, is easy to read, and fits the artstyle.
And if you love it but hate that it's not centered TF2Hud+ and IVHud exist for that express purpose.
I could see the health nunber being really small being an issue
Somehow i keep laughing like crazy when you showcased the shrek hud, the timings of the farts along with how the loadout is set up just gets to me

Usually turning down your resolution size increases the size of huds on the sides, and also improves performance overall

Theres a hud thats the default but it just fixed some bugs and makes it a bit different i think its called Middle Mann

He'll probably like middle man HUD or improve default HUD, I think he feels off when someone changed the original design.
