- I talk about one of my bag setups. It changes throughout the year and depending on what’s going on in my life. But right now, May 16th, 2020, this is what I have together. Some of the gear inside:
- RE Factor Tactical ASO bag
- Daniel Defense MK18 SBR
- Glock 17 Gen5 (jagerwerks milling)
- High Threat Concealment Low Profile System
- Vertx Assaulter Gloves
- Surefire RC2 (full-size)
- AR500 Armor EPIK (trauma kit)
- Haley Strategic D3CR Chest Rig
- 5.11 6x6 pouch
Nice set up there. One thing I like about belt's or cummerbund systems is you can have your IFAK on the back and still get to it. All you have to do is spin the belt around. I do typically use rip away IFAK pouches, but on a belt system, I don't have to. Now that won't work with a two belt system, but personally, I don't use them. It should still work if you don't use the inner belt though. For people such as myself who have limited flexibility, this still allows me to access items on the back. I have a severe scoliosis and another advantage to placing your gear around your waist is it keeps the weight off your back. For me, that's a major benefit. Those are two reasons I prefer a belt or cummerbund system over a chest rig with an IFAK attached to the back. I've even found that I can carry as much on my cummerbund set up as I can on some of my chest rigs.

Have you considered using a law tactical side folder? A 10.5" AR would come in at around 20" when folded. It may fit in your bag diagonally. Would be much quicker to deploy in an emergency than having to put your upper on the lower.
They Sylvian Arms Gen 3 is high quality as well.

I do the same for ar mags because I cleared a rv with another cop and when we got done he realized he didn’t chamber a round because it didn’t seat because it was loaded to 30 and he put it in with the bolt forward.

Sounds like poor training we push pull the magazine and check the condition of your weapon system i.e check optic and white light then press check

I’m in the market for a new kit bag as my old Propper range bag is starting to fall apart and I want to reserve my backpack for another purpose. Would it be a bit of a waste to use this bag to carry range stuff?
