the hitman absoultion watch is a reference to all the ducks you can find in lots of hitman games some are easter eggs
Oddly enough, the ducks were now being used as weapons in HitmanTM and the second....(Not Silent Assassin to clear it out.)
@@bluesnake1713 they're still hidden easter eggs, there's a lot of hidden ducks on the sniper maps most notably
@@AleK0451 Yeah, but you got admit that it's funny using weaponized ducks.

One thing that Whomobile forgot to mention was the engraving on the Ambassador not only changes between the normal and austy versions but its also Scout's mom.
Godspeed you magnificent bastard.
@phroggia 123 No joke, of course its information you have to go out of your way to find because its not mentioned on the wiki about the weapon itself, maybe valve was trying to keep that little detail hidden and shrouded in mystery but given that the spy not only taunts the scout whenever he dominates him about "visiting your mother" and she was pretty much highlighted in the meet the spy short it makes sense it would be her, people in love tend to do stuff like that.
Actually, The Aussie version is the same as the normal one. Only the Festive is able to change the engraving of scouts mom.
@@BlankBlonk I did check that after I already mentioned it, I remembered it changed I just forgot which variant had it.
@@cursedhawkins1305 It's mentioned on the update page that introduced it. www.teamfortress.com/sniper_vs_spy/day06_english.htm

Now that's an interesting addition to your browser history and the FBI files.
Now that I think about it, it's a good murder weapon. It's easy to sharpen and you can dispose of it really easily and leave no trace behind.

Stuff You Missed:
*Revolver:* A common thing that people did around the time Team Fortress 2 is set in would be to take a revolver, remove the original barrel from the frame, and replace it with the barrel of another revolver (usually a Colt Python. This is perhaps the main reason Spy's revolver looks like a "mutt" weapon.
*Big Kill:* In the original comics, the gun is barrel of the gun is often depicted as being so large that it actually sags under its own weight. Sam claims the weapon is "my second best and third most dangerous friend".
*Ambassador:* The Festive variant has different engravings on the barrel than the normal version. Oh, and the engraving seems to be based off of Scout's mum.
*L'Etranger:* Apparently, this weapon is also named after a French novel in which an emotionally-detached Frenchman murders Arab with a revolver.
*Festive Sapper:* On the side is a note that can roughly be translated to "Merry Smissmas, my friend!"
It should also be mentioned that the gun that the Big Kill is based on, the Smith & Wesson Model 29, was made famous as the gun of choice of 'Dirty' Harry Callahan in the movie/franchise of the same name. It is likely that the gun was chosen to be used in the Sam & Max comics as a parody of this.
@@ButtonMasherReal I plan on rewriting this. Thanks for the input.
Adding to the L'etranger part, this definitely isn't coincidental as the novel is set in Morocco and the gun is part of a Saharan Spy set. The author is Albert Camus just in case.
Merry Smissmas my friend!

I'm surprised you didn't mention that the Ambassador has an engraving of Scout's Mom on it.
Had to go back a see what you were talking about. I always thought that was a fancy engraving, but I guess it wouldn't give any tactical advantage.
i thought it was just some random woman with her tits out
And it’s diffrent fir every version (normal, festive and aussie)

I honestly thought the Ambassador is a Desert Eagle remodeled into a revolver shape. I didn't think there's an actual gun that looks like the Ambassador as it always felt impractical to me. The barrel of the Ambassador feels so big it probably outweighs the rear end by a lot.
ociNNico Id personally say it more like the Taurus Raging Bull instead.

The Ambassador is based on a style of revolver used in old practical police competitions (PPC). They don't come like that from the factory, and usually it takes a lot of money for an experienced gunsmith to add the long heavy barrels to the gun. This type of work is really difficult and there is almost no one that's still around who is capable of doing this kind of custom job, making these revolvers extremely rare (and expensive) in real life.
The resulting gun, however, is an extremely accurate, smooth shooting gun with very little recoil, so it really matches well with it's in game ability to make one kill head shots.
You need to make a "cosmetic origins" series, these types of videos are just too soothing and relaxing, we need moar
Disguise kit fun fact:
I a certain James Bond movie, James gives a guard a device that he says is a bomb with a gyroscope in it, and that it will detonate if he moves. However, later in the movie, he takes away the “bomb” and it is revealed that it was just a harmless cigarette case the whole time. The disguise kit seems to be a reference to that scene.
"The coniver's Kunai... is a kunai"
Me : Hmmm yes, the floor is made out of floor
REDDITOR DETECTED
dunbass
So you correctly say “Your Enteral Reward” without the “the” but before that you say “the L’etranger” when the “L” means “the” ...
The the stranger.
Also I believe L’etranger is based off of a french novel with the same name in which the titular stranger murders someone with a revolver, hence the name of the gun in tf2
It's a novel by Albert Camus and the name is definitely based off of it. We had to read it in high school...
I would say the Snack Attack could also be a reference on how you can get electricity out of a potatoe, given how the structure seems to be connected to the bread monster... Even tho it's bread and not a potatoe.
No its just the bread biting off the machines.
Hi Dan Quayle
It's both. The bread tries to bite it but can only bite one little bit. So the electricity destroys the rest
potato bread exists, so thats kinda accurate.
Hello fellow fantasy robot/cyborg character
All french who know how french language is hard for you stranger forgive you
Dam spy has a let of class specific reskins
4:00 The spycicle also extinquishes flames on the spy, as a means to try and get a way from the pyro via giving up his one-hit kill ability for a while.
The spy can also turn into a crab when equipping the disguise kit, but that is French Top Secret.
So you're saying the Balisong was originated in my hometown?
*Happy Filipino Noises*
The intro should be "either team" since you can also switch to your own team
2:56 **Monky intensifies**
I feel like the fact that the Ap-Sap talks should be mentioned. Gives insight on Engineer's buildings. Apparently there's a massive green wire in each building that can be cut to destroy it
This, is how i Pronounce "L'etranger"
Le-ronshjay
Idk why but when i first own the L'etranger i pronounce it as "Let Ranger" and i also didn't know Filipinos use Butterfly knives
It's pronounced "lay-trron-jhay". The n in tronn is soft and you roll the r's.
Yeah i Pronounce it like that but because of laziness i just put "j"
Also the "sh"
@@hopnod5236 I pronounce it like that but instead of lay, I pronounce it le-trron-jhay
We rarely use balisongs. Only farmers and criminals.
Something I noticed about the Enthusiast's Timepiece that you didn't mention in the video, The cloak meter is Pac-Man eating a pellet
I just want to say how informative and high quality this series is, keep up the great work man! :)
Another weird fact about the L’etranger is that it has a swing-out cylinder like all other revolvers, even though the Nagant 1895 is a fixed-cylinder revolver.
Another series called “hat origins” would be nice

And to think, all these assassin weapons and he has no suppressed pistol
Could you do Team Fortress Classic item origins next? I really enjoyed this series and you could probably fit all the weapons into one video.
I never realized just how many of spy's weapons are promo items, also, it's unfortunate the black rose is unobtainable now, it honestly looks pretty nice
This series Is so Godamn Good Hope you reach 100k My Guy keep up the good work
I was waiting for this video more than the other ones
"I haven't been able to find cases of people being murdered by icicles" Look up Two guys one icicle, it's a snuff film.
Are you planning to talk about all class reskins too? I really appreciate this series
It’s really important to note that the L’Etrange is a nod to the French boom by the same name, by famous Philosopher Albert Camus. In the book the main character accidentally shoots a man with a revolver, both out of mistaken identity and accidental reflex.
0:33 Chambers not barrels. The chamber is where a loaded cartridge rests when the gun is ready to fire. The barrel is where the bullet goes through when shooting.
1:21 Chambers again. The cylinder is the whole thing that contains the 6, or in this case 7, chambers.
Not enough research was done by him for these videos.
He’s only here to talk about where the gun comes from
If there is no proof that an icicle is used as a weapon, means that it works
or that it doesnt work at all.
Hey Whomobile, are you sure that there are war-paintable sappers for the Spy?
to what I know there's only revolvers and knifes that can be applied to
you might have made an error there at 5:32
if not, I would've gotten a cardboard box skin sapper on my wishlist of weapon skins
Ah poo
The sapper is offically called the "AM/FM Electro-Sapper" it's based off a radio
These videos add nothing but joy to my life
*The Ambassador* is the most genius way to nerf a class!
Nobody will find out how superior the other revolver choices are, *if they will constantly miss their shots with a **_direct downgrade with an underwhelming stat_** just to try and show off, failing miserably!*
TF2 Team are *_geniuses!_*
Azazel I can see you’re not a fan of the ambassador, but I use it because i can actually hit my shots ;)
I didn't know Filipinos use balisongs as self defense
God, the Black Rose is beautiful. I'm so happy to own one

“Your eternal reward! ah-“
Not sure if anyone else mentioned that, but Sharp Dresser is specifically made after the standard Ottoman Hookblade and it's a bloody shame we cannot use the hook part
4:35 Spy’s dark and skinny wrists look exactly like mine!
4:21 the spy got a digital watch early, oh yeah, not to mention it makes him invisible.
Thank you im looking forward to see the spy
I just found out about this channel and I love it
Damn now I can appreciate the black rose even more now. Glad I got it when I did
Bit of trivia on the Dead Ringer. The term "Dead ringer" is used to describe something or someone that looks exactly like something or someone else, which refers to the Spy's disguises.
The Quackenbirdt is a reference to the amount of rubber duck items in-game. Usually, the rubber ducks are bombs
If you notice on the grips of the Default Revolver, it has a emblem that is similar to the Ruger Phoenix of Ruger Firearms.
Note that the big earner appears to be painted to resemble a kitchen knife
Also, the word sapper refers both to a combat engineer and the french "saper" which means to undermine a building's integrity to cause it to collapse.
The enforcer was an actual gun used by eastern airline pilots to divert hijackings in the 1960-70s
I would like to point out that the L'étranger is first and foremost a reference to french-algerian writer Albert Camus's 1942 novel 'L'étranger", which features the protagonist gunning down some random dude on a beach with a revolver because of the sun being too hot or something
Finally, the list has been finished
0:33 “This allows all six barrels to be loaded at one”

"The Spy is a master of disguise."
But his players aren't.
Awww I don’t want this series to end

We get dirty and the world stays clean, Kyle. **Price murders Gaz with an icicle**
Iliek the transition between Your Eternal Reward and You’re Eternal Reward
The Ap-Sap actually will talk to you and actually has voicelines for equipping it, putting it away, and sapping
A common stereotype in France is that Butterfly knives were used a lot by people on Corsica. So maybe that could explain Spy's use of a butterfly knife.
I was actually almost killed by a four foot long falling icicle in hocking hills.
Honestly the DiamondBack is my favorite out of all the Spy’s Primary weapons I mean it gets crits when you go invisible and when you disguise and all that jazz.
4:54
Why hello and greetings.
OOOH YEAH
0:59, when that Russian translation says ".50 Calibre" it most likely is referring to Smith and Wesson .500 magnum rounds, which are used in revolvers.
