We leave this fri on Navigator of the seas for a 7 night cruise then in April we are doing a repositioning cruise from Florida to calif thru the Panama Canal. A bucket list cruise.
With Royal Caribbean raising their prices (many cases now double plus the price before the pandemic) they will rely on 3/4 night, first time cruisers that don't know better. For some of us old time cruisers, todays price is stopping us from sailing on RCL.
Fully agree… RC is taking advantage that the other two major cruise lines are about 2 years behind for both new ships and new private island/beach experiences… Also, the crowd getting on board has changed to a more demanding, non etiquette conforming crowd…
What I see with the refining of the new cabin labeling, is to charge more for certain cabins that were more popular in my opinion LOL. Also, when will a Quantum class ship return to Floridian ports?
@@RBickersjr or to neutralize kids sail free. Try booking for two adults. Then go back and add a kid and see what happens. Make sure kids sail free is active. Ask me how I know. 😢
Glad i was able to book Wonder before the switch (Booked for May 2025). Went on my first cruise ever (46 years old, yeah i know why so late? Trust me i regret it lol) on Utopia last month and wanted to experience a similar ship on a longer itinerary. Which Oasis class ships will still be doing longer itineraries out of Florida in late 2025 and beyond. Id love to go on Icon or Star but will need to wait until the prices settle a bit after the newness has worn off.
Do you know if Allure of the Seas will hopefully still have the Champagne Bar? We're not a fan of that bionic bar replacement on the other Oasis class ships.
I booked a cruise on Quantum of the Seas for a Mexican Riviera cruise before they announced the Ovation sailings, which makes me chuckle that they're calling it this new thing. Hopefully it holds up well and Mexico doesn't mess with the taxes and we get more itineraries out of san pedro
Looking forward to my 3rd Bermuda cruise on Liberty in May 2025. Which other ship/ships will be sailing from Cape Liberty or Boston? I'd love to go back on Oddysey someday. It looks like I will still have limited choices if I don't want to fly.
There is something wrong with Anthem. On my recent sailing from Singapore on the morning of day 2 the back of the ship was covered in black soot. It was a real mess. The flow rider and iFly decks were badly affected. People were covered in it. You couldn't see out the windows of Concierge lounge because of the soot. The sports staff told me this has happened a couple of times now. Maybe something wrong with the fuel they are getting in Singapore?
@@RoyalCaribbeanBlog I've spent 155 nights at sea on Royal Caribbean ships. I've never seen this before. It was not normal. Royal was offering to launder affected clothing for free.
We are cruising Anthem OTS out of Hawaii to Sydney in October 2025. We have heard the ship will go into dry dock prior to this to change the bionic bar to the Izumi hibachi restaurant. Are you aware of this possible change? Thank you.
I wish some of the bigger ships would come to East Coast. I heard Liberty won’t be leaving from Jersey anymore in 2026? but Independence will & I booked can’t wait it will be my fist time on it
The new cabins mean exactly this: kids sail free is now bunk. You'll be paying more for the same size cabin but it is now rated for three people. How do i know? Because we just booked a cruise with a kid and when it's two adults the balcony was 2200. When we added the "free" kid it went up to 3100. Please note the cabin sizes for two vs three occupancy are the same and the layout on RC's website is also identical.
the new changes in 2025.. getting less for more.. (seems to be a trend) alot of things not included anymore that used to be.. I love cruising but wow has it turned to shit since convid.. just not like it used to be and not in a good way at all
All these changes… One of the biggest changes they need to do is get rid of smoking in the casinos. It is almost 2025. Why are we catering to the 10%? Literally, I bet you only less than 10% of the people are smoking in that casino. And then some ships make these small little smoke free casinos. That should be the smoking casino and the big casino should be non-smoking!
We were on Oasis of the Seas in November and the MDR was directly across from the casino. It stunk like smoke every night while we were dining. Ridiculous!
Have been cruising for 28 years and prefer the smaller ships, less crowded if you sail at the right time.

I wish they would show Galveston some love
for real 😔

As someone that cruises every year and holds stock in RC I am loving it
I will be trying a different line. All the changes you mention seem to be Royal charging more. Example is room categories. Just a way to charge more.
Cruising on Allure from Rome to ft Lauderdale in October after the revamp. Super excited!
Would be great to hear news of new Small ships
We're doing Symphony this Christmas 22-29 and Christmas last year on Harmony

Can they please make the beds comfortable? :-(
Would love to have Utopia OTS or Wonder sail out of Bayonne, NJ!!
Thank you, Matt.
Interesting to hear about the upcoming changes.
Appreciate you sharing the latest news from Royal Caribbean.

I saw you on our thanksgiving cruise in 2022
No cabin updates? With the new rules for bringing extra outlets adding USB and other outlets to the cabins is a must...
They really need a refresh.
I really want to cruise on Allure after amplification! It was my first oasis class ship. And I am sooooo excited about Star of the Seas
I’m going on Allure after amplification in 2026
Taking our daughter on her 1st cruise on Allure in Jan 2026. She got super excited when she saw the slides and laser tag!
We cruise before but RCL Liberty of the Seas will be our first time in April 2025.
Would love to see an oasis class ship down here in Australia.. but doubt thatd ever happen
The biggest change coming to Allure is they'll probably "upgrade" the Diamond/Crown Lounge to the nearest closet to make room for more staterooms.
Vision Christmas cruise on the day after tomorrow! Symphony in April 😊 life is good!
I’m on the same cruise 😊
I love having more West Coast port options! 🔥🔥💪🏼

Another big change... I'll be on a European cruise on Voyager! 😊
If you've never been on Voyager, it is a beautiful ship. I hope you enjoy it.
@dan81275a Thank you! I've never been on that ship or that class of ships. Should be a fun trip!

Ha! We are going in May, also! Love the "Liberty of the Sea", she is like a second home for us.
I hope you have a fantastic time!
you're the one person i trust for rc updates. thank you so much for this video!!
i'm hoping they'll show galveston some love 😔
Thanks Matt😃you said🗣️Up Next!
Can’t wait
last year in anticipation of this drydock, booked cruise on Allure of the Seas for Jan 2026
I am excited to see Allure of the seas amplification. I am going on her after the amplification in 2026.
When is Wonder switching to 3 and 4 night sailings? I need to book before that horrible change?
I thought it was quantum of the seas that was gonna be down in Los Angeles. I guess it doesn’t matter ovation or quantum are great ships.

That’s not wrong. The soot is from the engines. Depending on where the wind blows, it can come down on the deck of the ship

Exciting!!!
You missed Oasis of the seas visiting a new port in Dominican republic South side. Cabo Rojo
Allure needs the maintenance. There was an explosion on board with black smoke out the back. Suddenly no hot water for 2 hours.

Looking forward to cruising in 2025!!
Sad about the changes to Allure. The diamond lounge was the best!

That was the final price after discounts applied? Damn, that’s sucks :/.
@Dartholit1 yup. I wouldn't have noticed if I hadn't tried to book the same cabin as last year. I couldn't believe the price hike so I got curious.
We are doing an European 5 days in allure. Let’s see how big the changes are.
I’m hoping they’ll put icon 3 in Galveston 🎉 if. It I will try the STAR 😊
Did harmony last week had a blast easy on easy off
Royal is funny. The new cabin categories is about more money, lol
204 days until ovation leaving from LA!
the new changes in 2025.. getting less for more.. (seems to be a trend) alot of things not included anymore that used to be..
I love cruising but wow has it turned to shit since convid.. just not like it used to be and not in a good way at all
I hope the storybots can be on Royal Caribbean. I also hope Royal Caribbean will have a roller coaster at sea like carnival has
Singapore dun get any love😢
So this is just changes in the same area, same ships.. not world wide..
MSC cheaper and much better with newer beautiful ships

@ - that’s terrible!
Yes totally agree smoking should not be allowed on these ships! Or it should be limited to a small area away from people maybe near the smoke stacks 😂
@ - LOL
