  • Hey everyone,
    Here is a brief tutorial on how we use multiple PNG tuber avatars during our live streams. (Sorry for some of the lack of clarity in my words, had a cold when I was trying to finish recording this)
    Things you'll need:
    Veadotube Mini (Or other PNG software): olmewe.itch.io...
    OBS studio: obsproject.com/
    OBS Ninja: obs.ninja
    This should work for any computing platform that is not mobile (Windows, Mac, Linux). If I find a mobile solution in the future, I will be sure to add that to the channel as well.
    I do plan on doing this with a full vtuber to demonstrate as well, if nothing else so I can redo the audio and visuals without a cold. Keep an eye out for that!

    Holy shit, you don't know how helpful this is. I was searching all over youtube for this specific kind of tut and you were the only one that popped up. Thank you! Side note, is there anything specific that needs done to make sure the discord audio catches with the veadotube image?

    • @enragedhybrid
      @enragedhybrid  2 роки тому +1

      All of the audio should catch via your Desktop audio channel within the mixer on OBS desktop or Streamlabs and sync with no issues as long as everyone has their correct mic input set for both Veado as well as discord. I just use that as well as muting the audio on OBS ninja to prevent echo. Feel free to hit me with any other questions you may have, I'm happy to help!

    Hi, sorry if this is a dumb question, but would the guests you invite need to be on computer for this to work, or can they be on discord mobile? Thank you so much for making this it’s a godsend

    Quick question. What if your group wants you to create all the characters? How would you link them?

    • @enragedhybrid
      @enragedhybrid  Рік тому +1

      The best thing in this scenario is going to be either making the art / PNG tubers and having them sent to your party individually to run obs and obs ninja from their computer or using fugi tech at: reactive.fugi.tech/ The fugi tech method requires nothing on their side at all, but it's limited to only neutral and talking expressions. You or they can upload the art to use with Fugi and it has a pretty simple user interface

      @@enragedhybrid thank you ❤️ I made sure to drop a follow on twitch.
      Would you know if someone has multiple reactions set up on the program, if I were to have them on my stream, would those reaction show up on my stream to?

    • @enragedhybrid
      @enragedhybrid  Рік тому

      @@azurewolfnhoj Thank you so much for the follow! They definitely will, I use a stream deck to hotkey reactions / states for my png tuber when I'm on with my partner on her channel. It works with multiple characters as well if you use more than one as long as the chroma key doesn't match too closely to the character's colors, you can use many on the same chroma key profile. In the future if you move into full on 3d vtuber the OBS ninja platform works flawlessly for that too!

    Would this work for multiple people using different microphones through an audio interface or would you still need to use multiple computers

    • @enragedhybrid
      @enragedhybrid  3 місяці тому

      This more of a remote solution when you are working with multiple PCs and audio interfaces.
      If you wanted to run multiple from one PC you would need multiple instances of the png tuber software running, one for each person. The second thing you would need is an audio mixer that can produce multiple usb output source channels from a single mixer or an audio interface for each person plugged in and assigned to the corresponding png tuber.

    im trying to use it with my friend but whenever she joins the room for some reason it becomes REALLY low quality and looks like horrid, how do you fix that? 😭😭

    • @enragedhybrid
      @enragedhybrid  11 місяців тому

      This could be due to a few reasons, I would start with your friend's internet connection. Do they have a connection that can support video bandwidth for upload? They'll want at least 1mbps upload speed and can test it at a speed test site like google speed test or speedtest.net. If they have good enough bandwidth for it next up would be checking the slider at the bottom of the OBS ninja control panel browser window. There will be an icon that has the outline of 2 people and a settings cog. You can adjust the video bandwidth up or down from there but you'll want at least 500kbps if possible.
      Next thing you can check is your OBS resolution for the browser source and see if it's stretching the image. If so you'll have to scale it down there. Lastly on your friends side, do they have it scaled very tiny in OBS? If so they'll need a higher quality PNG image for their png tuber base or to increase the resolution of the PNG tuber window.
      Hope this helps! :)

    i have my png tuber set to green but its appearing as a black backgroung on the website? do you kmow how i would change the color through the site?

    • @enragedhybrid
      @enragedhybrid  Рік тому

      The camera source on the website doesn’t have a background directly unless it is not picking up your virtual camera through OBS. The background color would be set via Veadotube or whatever PNG tuber app you are using. From there you’ll need to make sure the window capture for your PNG tuber application is captured full screen and taking up the entire scene in OBS. If you are hosting the stream you can set your PNG tuber background as transparent or alpha and use that source directly in OBS. If you are setting your PNG tuber up as a guest for another stream then you’ll need to set your background in the PNG tuber app to whatever color the hosting streamer specifies so they can set the appropriate chroma key for their browser source of your PNG tuber in their OBS. :)

    I tried to do the thing but when i put it in obs it has random resedue of magenta lines how do i fix?

    • @enragedhybrid
      @enragedhybrid  Рік тому

      If it's a random residue throughout the image or around the character you'll need to adjust your chroma key settings for that source by altering the similarity slider until the lines are gone. If you start noticing your colors are washed out on the character, it may be better to change the background color and chroma key type to one that has more contrasting colors.
      If you're seeing lines around the edge of the image frame such as at the top, you can enlarge the capture source edges past the display area so it will blend any hard lines that may appear around the frame.

      This might be one of your guests does not have their png tuber size big enough to fill the entire obs stage ; You may need to use a different chroma key for that capture source ; or adjust the capture source type / settings in general

      @@enragedhybrid I'm having the same issue as them and I'm using PngTuber Maker from steam and I'm not sure what kind of capture sources or settings to change that would fix it

    • @enragedhybrid
      @enragedhybrid  4 місяці тому

      @@spiderdude1787 I'm not overly familiar with this PngTuber Maker, but it sounds like either the captured window for a guest is not exceeding the borders of the OBS stage, or there is a chroma key filter issue where the intensity is not high enough. The capture sources for guests would be your standard browser source, and for your own PNG tuber I would typically use a standard window capture. Both of these sources can have a chroma key filter set by right clicking the source to find the advanced options. If the issue is for your own png tuber, you may have a chroma key filter set where the intensity is too low or not an ideal match with your character's color palette. If you can, use an alpha / transparent background vs using a solid color for your own. If you have to use a colored background, try finding the most contrasting colored one possible and turning up the intensity of your chroma key filter in OBS on that capture source to help offset and eliminate the visible borders. Hope this helps!
