    One of the only problems with your channel is that you didn't start it sooner, so there isn't a massive playlist yet of awesome content for me to binge while I procrastinate on the projects I'm supposed to be working on.
    Interesting, informative, and engaging.
    Great work man.

      So what you're saying is shut my channel down, make 100 videos then come back all guns blazing? Gotcha!

    You talked so fast that I had to watch it at 0.75 times the normal speed.

      This is an older tutorial. I've tried to slow down when I talk for more recent ones!

    9:10 fucking relatable. For simple video editing i use premiere, If i know im gonna blow the vid with effects and stuff at any point in time for any duration, then the whole editing is done solely in AE

    Love seeing this process, it was always puzzling to me how some people thought of adding random shapes or weird effects... It really seems to make sense but without an idea of the process you would never know really how the end result came to be. Thanks for this!

      @@TheVideoShopLondon ☺️☺️☺️ thank you SO much! (I started learning AE a year ago at School of Motion, so love seeing other people’s amazing animations ! I’m learning Cinema 4D at the moment, it’s so cool!)

  • @ultravioletidea

    Enjoyed this one! Really liked the slice/dice stairway to the house animation: creative, simple, powerful, ominous. Also liked how your eye is drawn to and recognizes overarching shapes (lines, circles). The face transplant animation was a good idea, too: snappy and it directed the eye well. Finally, regarding Brew: totally agree. I try to have at least three projects overlapping. Work on A, let it brew while I work on B. It develops individual style (you’re thinking about the prev project a little, while working on the current, giving them some cohesion); and you increase the likelihood of happy accidents. Cheers!

    hi i was wondering if like for a month or two i could pay you to show me how to master this type of style, like i've tried on my own to figure it out but im never happy with the outcome. i look at some pinterest pins for inspiration and try to animate it in ae but i get frustrated because it never looks good. i feel like with the help of a pro like you it would be much easier

    thanks for the good tips. i always find myself lost whenever im about to start a new project and i totally get it that you need to let the idea brew rather than trying to force it, its like trying to bake a cake but in 5 minutes instead of 30, the math might work but in reality you will burn the cake. a problem that happens to alot of designers such as myself who work for small studios whom give out lots of project but not the time to think about em.

    • @TheVideoShopLondon
      @TheVideoShopLondon  2 роки тому

      I've been in that situation. It's akin to working in a factory, churning out mograph product. The work can be serviceable but it's hard to dig into briefs on a conceptual level

  • @EdwardSedgwick83

    Good stuff. It is always tempting to start throwing keyframes in there before the idea is fully developed.
