Show @FilmNet Online some love!

Also credit to Frans van Dusschoten, he was Andre's perfect sidekick for many years ! 😀
He was the worst 'straight man'
making him the best combo with André!
Frans was also famous for his many voice-overs and voice-acting in other tv-shows like De Fabeltjeskrant.
I have seen a rehearsal with them.
Frans really keeps bursting out with laughter when he unexpectedly is confronted with André's on-the-spot humor unexpectedly.
One time it was just the two of them practicing their part in a group piece. Frans had to sit down somewhere and Adré stopped him, saying that he was sitting down in (a specific guy)'s lap.
Annnnnnnd Frans was laughing for a whole minute straight again! :D
Corry van Gorp also was a grateful victim of him! :D
I concur
Frans van Dusschoten, Corry van Gorp and André van Duin. I was a kid when a saw this amazing trio at the manny revues on tv with my parents.
Did not really like the other shows though.... only the revue (theater)
Ron Brandsteder was ook wel leuk!
I live in the UK but Dutch by birth, I'd forgotten how funny Andre is, thanks...I too cried with laughter. ♥️
The thing is.. A lot of times during performances, André van Duin didn't stick to the script. Which made his colleagues burst out into laughter. At the moment, he is 75 years old and he is still very loved and a real legend in the Netherlands.
Andre is one of those unique people who has managed to remain just a normal guy, even after decades of national fame
The reason André never start laughing himself is because he never looks someone straight into the eyes. He always looks to someones forehead when he is in a scene.
Doet hij trouwens nog iets.?
@@bjornr1120 programmas presenteren
@@bjornr1120 hij is in ieder geval nog op tv, volgens mij bij omroep max, met van die bakprogramma's
André used to have a radio show, every saturday morning called: "de dik voormekaar show" from 1973 until the late 80's Transmitted by Radio Noordzee. As a kid I loved listening to it on my transistor radio and would laugh my butt off. At school me and my friends always like to mimic the voices. It was hilarious, good memories about that. I am 58 years old.
Sooner or later, every sidekick of Andre van Duin burst out laughing because Andre van Duin never adhered to the script and thought up all kinds of things on the spot.
André is an idol in the Netherlands. Everyone loves him.
Andre van Duin is a living legend. Every time he manages to break a colleagues role, and have them go into laughter, he manages to make it more and more funny... just by his looks... it is absolutely brilliant what he can convey with his face and gestures, and he's a master at it. He is so deeply loved here, and you can see why. I'm glad it's just as funny to you, I've always wondered how these sketches/skits would translate. I hope many more will be translated, as I'd LOVE to re-watch all of them, and there is nothing better than to share laughter. I can't help but laugh even more when YOU are having fun. It's THE best infection. Laughter. 🥰😁😃
Huge compliments to the one who translate this from our legend Andre!
Thanks!!
👍
@@Inge_NL The "little couple" was very well done especially!
@@MarcelNL Yes agree.
😂😂😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣😂
Help! Halfway I had to open the frontdoor for someone ringing at the door
Tja.....😂🤣😂 I couldn't stop laughing😄
O gosh, I remember when this was on tv, still love it. Andre was and still is the king of inprov... And still so loved by the Dutch! ❤🍀🙌🏻
I am from The Netherlands and this is my favorite sketch of André van Duin and Frans van Dusschoten. I remember seeing it for the first time, about 40-50 years ago. Since then I saw the sketch many times again, I have it now on DVD, and every time it's hilarious. The timing is so perfect, this was André van Duin at his best.
My all time favourite André act! I must have watched this at least 100 times. Still cracks me up. Like, every time.
Me too. Was crying again 😂
SAME!
I also had this sketch and many others (like that soldier) on a record that already was badly damaged from being played over and over again.
Straight up our finest stand up comedian who ever lived. And is still alive lol. Think i should mention that. This guy actually never had to do anything when he got on stage but just be himself. It comes as natural as breathing to him. I mean he did play many characters and roles but he improvised pretty much everything. There was a script at some point i'm sure untill he entered the building. Almost everyone he worked with on stage could not keep it dry crying from laughter which made it even better. A finer talent to make people laugh has never lived. And he can sing very well to. Because when he closed his show he always sang a song and you could literally drop a pin on the floor and hear it fall. It was that quiet.
This Skit is so damn genius, I'm rolling with ya trough the whole skit, and I watched it over 100 times already, still rolling and hurting my sides with laughing XD
OMG, I must have seen this over a hundred times. We taped all of his shows on video. This is hilarious.
As a very little girl I was allowed to stay up in wet-haired pajamas on the couch. To watch Andre van Duin and Frans van Dusschoten on TV. A golden fantastic couple together. Still find Andre a warm and sweet person. Thank you Inge, nice to see this again.👍
The reason why Frans van Dusschoten was laughing so hard about the mother in law joke was because André did almost the same joke in a previous scene in the same show. In that scene Andre was playing a guy who had an accident on a skiing trip. Frans played an insurance agent who came to check what happened. Incredible scene!!!
Andre van duin gived also a beautiful speech (kind of thing) at Dam Square on the ww2 memorial day last year🙏🏻
I have seen these shows before, but I can't imagine being there live. I would have passed out laughing.
The last time I saw this sketch was about 1=20 years ago, I still remember every word, I Know exactly what's next, but it still cracks me up. I don't believe a better comedian was born after André.
My brother and his wife were the first couple that were married by the official they saw. As he mentioned it was his first time, my brother responded: ''don't worry, we've never done this before either''
Hendrikus Scherphof HAHAHAHAHA
This was always so amazing every Saturday night, we stayed at home for this show, i am glad it made you laugh as well🤣
Hahaha, golden memories, he still makes me laugh every time just by seeing his face..love him to bits
Those 2 together and with Corry van Gorp was always guarantee for a laugh Andre always came up with things that were not in the script👍
One of the Dutch GOATs for sure. 60 years of comedy
Still a very witty man, even backstage.
Last Februari in Amsterdam a statue was placed outside Theater Carré, to hounor his 75th birthday.
One of? He IS the GOAT
Andre IS The greatest of all time
He was a master in breaking character to throw his sidekicks off!
His sidekicks were pissing themselves 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When I was a little kid, we used to watch these shows on tv with the whole family. And like all the others have told, all of his sidekicks would laugh when Andre would get off script. He always caught them of guard with his jokes
Great memories of this scene. And your reaction is also amazing haha... Allways good to laugh 🤣
Highly, thanks for the wonderful reaction. Can't wait for the next one tomorrow 😂
I would love to see his reaction on "andre van duin - cafe" where corry van gorp is being thrown around and can't stop laughing 🤣🤣
I grew up with van Duin doing the pizza show, but didn't know any of the ones i've seen OP watching. They make me laugh just as loud for sure!
You said: it feels oldskool. But that is exactly what it is. I showed a sketch of him (and Wim Sonneveld) at my kids (11 and 15 yo). They didn’t like or understand this kind of humor 😂.
It is so funny seeing all these clips again. A smile from ear to ear. So good , such a terribly funny and especially nice man . Thank you and enjoy!❤🤣🤣🤣
The little couple joke was rewritten to make sense in translation :') The actual joke was about just as dadlevel though.
In dutch the words paartje (diminished form of paar which means couple) sounds exactly like paardje (diminished form of paard which is horse). So he said oh will there be a "knol"? With 'knol' being used to describe an old used up horse usually.
I've seen André van Duin in the theatre Carre in the '80 it was funny as hell, tears from laughter and a crampt jaw. 😂😂
This is one of the best of them. Have listened and seen it so many times. Still laughing with tears coming out.
Thank you both for watching this. I hoped you'd find it as funny as I do. And you did. I was crying from laughter again and I've seen it so so many times but it cracks me up every time. Thanks again for watching and uploading. Love Anna
André and Frans at their best! Thank you so much! And also credits to the subtitles 🙂
Thanks!
When this was broadcasted on Dutch tv I looked forward to these shows.
It was so much fun and tears would run down my face form laughing, after so many years it's still funny as hell
The "midget thing" wast even the joke in dutch but im glad the subtitles also nailed it 😂😂
Thanks again so much for this video.
This one is extra hilarious for another reason that not everyone knows. I am not going to say, because I love Andre and I know he doesn't always want to be confronted with it. Do some research if you want.
This guy has been a hero in the Netherlands for decades.
Hilarious.. remember seeing these on VHS as a kid... nice to see these never get old..
I grew up with this stuff, and once again I'm crying with laughter. Thanks for reminding me!!
oh boy! If every official get guys like André for a trainee at a wedding, not sure if that profession will survive...
Frans the best sidekicks with the best crosslines vs Andre with the best punchlines. Best comedy duo period imo. Always great to see that André is improvising and see how Frans forgets his script. Thanks for sharing this. Brought back some good old memories.
This is my absolute favorite van Duin sketch.
The ultimate Andre van Duin is when Frans van Dusschoten or Corry van Gorp can't go on because he or she has to laugh.
I Am Still Laughing My Ass Off After All Those Years! That would make.. IASLMAOAATY. Wow, that took some effort to get that right! Luckily I was on some kind of break. When young, me and two brothers of mine took breaks to roll on the floor laughing.
Classic comedy! Watched it when i was a kid in Netherlands and now again, as an adult in Canada. Timeless and borderless
imagine getting married , and its done like that, you will NEVER forget the day
The timing is so perfect
Our national hero of laughs 😂❤
MY FAVORITE andre van duin skit ever! 🤣
You should watch the speech which Andre van Duin held on the Dutch memorial day on 4th May 2021.
Greetings!
Andre was one of the greatest Dutch comedians ever.
*is!
Hij leeft nog! Maar hij doet dit soort werk niet meer.
classic! still good in 2024 all his work!
Perfect for a bad day, a good laugh😂
Dutch funny meaning is lost in translation: 1:00 he says first couple, or "eerste paartje", which sounds like "paardje" little horse... hence the 'little couple'. He also responds as "knol" (work horse)
I love you for loving our André!
I like this one.
Espescially the part after Frans hold the paper before his face.
Fun fact about Andre v Duin. He is the only comedian who, after a show, left some seats wet. People literally pissed themselves…
I've never been a fan of van Duin except for his radio creations.
However, watching over his old TV stuff, his sense for timing and improvising is such, and he can also boast a more than decent singing voice, plus an astute acting talent, one can easily claim, had he been American, he would have been amongst the super greats, today's likes of Charlie Chaplin & Buster Keaton. He'd sure had gotten a room full of TV and film awards, with the odd Emmy thrown in for a successful album.
Now brace yourself for Dutch talent I actually like ... 😆
Always liked Paul van Vliet
i was really wondering what your connections with the Netherlands are.. as a dutchy this is so funny to see. And yes, Andre was hilarious. As a kid i watched his Animal Crackers (bit lame for adults maybe but you can try ;) and shows like these i forgot about totally...thanks for posting it.
This is real oldschool haha u took me back to my childhood with this one
Andre van duin is the best ever👌😆👍❤️
I AM from Nederlands love ho you dat van Duin lol your a cool Guy
He is the best comedian in The Netherlands👍👍👍😂😂😂😂😂😂seen it many times and laughed even so many times😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣and with all his shows🙋♀️
this bit is one of the best
Fantastic, thanks for the laughter 😂
Any time!
the soldier is also very funny !
Okay I just realized while watching this, Andre uses a lot of mannerisms of his idol Stan Laurel, the little one of Laurel and Hardy. His facial expressions, his head movements. So funny I’m just now seeing it.
Some of the humor can't be translated into English. In the first part of the video, the translation of Frans goes: 'You're going to marry your first couple.' Which is in Dutch: 'Je gaat je eerste paartje huwen.' The joke is that André hears 'paardje' (little horse) instead of 'paartje' (couple). So he reacts: ,,Oh, komt er een knol?'' (Oh, is there a horse coming? (In which 'knol' is another word for horse.))
The English transcription makes a completely other joke of it, since it makes no sense in English.
André has always been a Stan Laurel fan.
Zo leuk dat je hier als Amerikaan of Engelse op reageert! En leuk om te zien hoe jij er ook om kan lachen.
I love your reaction, so funny to see :-))
Now you know why we are always so happy in the Netherlands 😂😂😂😂😂
He made 2 movies in the 80s as well. Ik Ben Joep Meloen (I am Joep Meloen) and De Boezemvriend (Bosom Friend). The were very succesfull at the time. Bosom Friend even has André Hazes in a small part.
From 08:50 you can really see that Andre was influanced by Stan Laurel
The thing you need to know about Andre, is that you can go to this show 100 times and it’s different every single time. The guy is the king of improv. If you watch Frans closely (his partner in crime on stage) you sometimes see him hide behind a piece of paper. He’s suffocating from laughter then, because Andre deviated from the script in such an hilarious way that everyone, including all the crew, are laughing so hard.
He did a runing joke, getting back to a remark he made in the skid before. Complete out of place here, but the result was one of the best deliveries ever.
This one and Who on first. are my all time favorites.
Ik hope that one day you wil watch the sketch, “a woman in love” with Andre van Duin en Corry van Gorp. Hard to explaine why because it’s beyond words!
Leuke vertalling van de woordgrap. Kom er een paardje. Zeer leuk gevonden vertaalster . Joke at 0:48 Woud be lost in translation. nicely done by translator.
Ooh man...those happy as h*ll 70's and 80's!
I have, sean this in the past. So funny.
I have no tears. All gone. The big bud thing was not in the script.
Andre van Duin❤❤❤
MY FAVORITE PIECE OF HIM!!!!!! :D
Oh and by the way: he LOOOOOOOOVES to make his collegues burst out in uncontrollable laughter! :D
0m49s:
Major translation mistake!
The guy sitting on the chair said "paarTje", which means couple.
(Dutch like to use diminutive words, even if there isn't really talk of a decrease in size.)
André (standing up) hears paarDje,
which is pronounced the same,
but means small horse,
so he replies with "knol" (which is a little bit derogative for horse),
while this was translated as "little couple".
This was done to keep the context/humor of the scene!
@@HighlyCombustibleReacts
Are you saying that whoever translated it, did it like that, just to entertain the English speaking audience?
I thought the purpose of translating this video was to understand the humor of André van Duin.
You really need to react to najib amhali broodje shoarma that is so very funny. You probably need extra oxygen after watching the video
Thanks for you hilarious reaction.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Best comedian of the Netherlands ! 😀👍
When these shows were aired some 50 years ago, the streets were empty. (There was only one TV-station in the Netherlands then). Still, at the time, it was considered very lowbrow, and the intelligentsia were very dismissive about his shows. (not that André ever cared, he did what he liked, and didn't listen to negative criticisms). Nowadays, even the people who didn't like these types of show then have come around, and literally EVERYBODY likes André now. He doesn't do theater anymore, but he is on TV fairly regularly with the Dutch version of The Great British Bake-off, amongst other things.
Two of his greatest role models were Stan Laurel and Danny Kaye (also redheads); in his earliest shows he mimics them a lot, as you can see in this sketch, for example at 10:28, which is classic Stan Laurel.
respect for your work showing Dutch master artist to the world and Andre van Duin is a master at his genre. He reminds me a bit of a mix of Mr Bean and Laurel and Hardy.
You should really watch hand teeuwen his first show at the cabaret festival!
next one het restaurant DER IS GEEN KAAS
Coming up soon.....
I was thinking of that one too 🤣
OMG, die is hilarisch ja

Andre van Duin did like Stan Laurel and had him for example.
Wonder how he'd react to Van Duin's "Belt u maar..." song.
He dies inside hahaaaa
Other classics from Andre van Duin are "Er is geen kaas" and "De Klokkenstroper".
The cheese is almost ripe.
Eventually, Frans would always lose his composure or forget his line.
And you know what did: that got even more laughter from they audience. After a while they knew that. Mostly it was real, but sometimes they would act those reactions to. Because they knew the audience liked it.
This scene is so ferry good im heb on dvd
Ferry? Boot?
