Believe it or not good old southern Texas cowboys , fat rednecks, Hispanics blaring Tejano & TON of black folks ALLLLLLLL party together on the beach of river (San Jacinto River) all around a massive bonfire with EVERYONE drunk every weekend here (outside Houston) - DURING COVID & BLM RIOTS. Most racists or Shallow people I ever met were in LA. VERY Wealthy people over 55 usually. Rednecks get a bad reputation because of movies but I have never witnessed a true racist redneck. Texans have married and lived with Hispanics since it was part of Mexico. Louisiana (I was born Cajun) have lived, worked, married, prayed with Creoles & black folks since Cajun immigrated to work the sugar cane fields together. I LOVE the South for that reason. It's the media and powers that be want to dredge up stuff that RICH folks did - the same rich people now are descendants of that are stoking the pot now! We got a sign on our porch it says "All good people welcome" 😊
Katrina we took every one as a community & they did the same for us after Harvey ❤ Good Americans were just that.

Yeah I’m tired of seeing this shit Fr!! I’m moving to La because it’s the only weather I can take in this country that’s in a fairly liberal area and I’m tired of these stories from influencers trying to convince me it’s all this low vibe energy!!! It seems like the crowd they’re surrounding themselves with.

If you skip the Hollywood nightclub and influencer bullshit, Los Angeles is beautiful. You can find amazing friends, hike the mountains, swim in the ocean, hit the beaches, there are beautiful churches and parks, fun activities, things to do, etc. When you get older, you’re not concerned about being the prettiest girl in the room. It’s freeing to be older honestly. It’s all perspective. I just hit my 30 years in California and I love it.

This is so true! I just moved to LA two years ago out of college and it’s amazing. I’m from Ohio so it’s crazy how much there is to do out here. Most of the people in this video are influencers so are attending those kinds of parties and have that kind of social circle. The Hollywood clubs are insanely exploitative to young women. Attractive women are the product that these promoters are selling to older men under the guise of “bottle service”. These women are rarely paid aside from a free entry and a drink or two. Young girls are spending thousands of dollars a year on hair, nails, makeup, and cosmetic procedures to impress door guys and gross older men who don’t respect them. I can speak from experience cause I grew up in LA and frequented these establishments in my late teens/early 20s. I’m glad girls are finally talking about it

I agree, I'm 39 and born in LA. Lived in the DMV from adolescence til grown, but been back in LA for one year shy of twenty years. It IS about confidence and magnetism to attract the right type of people in attention Without trying but the thing is about people in LA is many people try too hard...natives and implants. Maybe younger generations may struggle with that, but I could say for my age group and older. We find our own lane and we comfortable where we are. I have no pressure to look a certain way or anything.I simply just do me, and I still attract men and women when I'm ready. You could be the hottest chick or dude Have all the bells and whistles, but if you have no personality no confidence , no magnetism , and you have this aura of desperation about you It is easily detectable with the discerning eye In the
Opposite sex isn't going to by into your hype. When you don't follow what everybody else is doing in LA That's when you attract the best People not scripted caricatures. You could be fine as hell , but if you have no confidence or personality, no substance and you thirsty you shooting yourself in the foot

I live in NYC. I got into everywhere. I am plain and older and overweight. We always got on the guest lists.
If you have friends in finance and fashion and other fields, make sure that you ask to be placed on the guest list at clubs and venues. You need that. Meet the people that work in the clubs. That can work as well.
It’s an inside secret. In fact, I became so spoiled, that if anyone wanted me to accomplish them to a club, I’d ask if they were on the guest list. This way you are never picked over. Some girls, super beautiful, would look 👀 shocked as I went in, after speaking to the doormen, bouncers, and I went right in, while when they spoke to the doormen/bouncers, they were told to wait.
I was on the guest list.

A Black women, or any woman of color especially darker complexion not being allowed to get into an establishment because of their race or skin tone is racism and colourism. I mean yes it’s a club so it’s not the end of the world, but at the same time it’s a club? Like people are dancing, drinking, and trying to just have fun, why even discriminate against who can come in so long as they aren’t posing a danger to the ones inside? It’s dumb to tell someone that they don’t look good enough to get into an establishment of degeneracy and half nakedness, like why be so uppity 😂 It’s even dumber when it’s a strip club. A bit of make-up, a butt built in the gym & lash extensions are way more common then $2000 hair, a boob job & Botox every month.
There no "set" style , you want to go to the shops as a goth, a glamorous model, a gym fit or farmer no one will make you feel like you don't have the "look" to be in their shop, restaurant or cafe. They'll look at you weird when you come in off your head , or super loud and inconsiderate before giving two cents how you're dressed or how much work you've got done on your face.

Most of California, and a good portion of LA, is like that as well. LA as a whole is generally considered more casual/informal than NYC. As another commenter said, the video must be talking more about Hollywood and other upscale, high income, entertainment industry parts of LA. It's a large city and this video isn't representative of the entire place.
I haven't seen a huge amount of LA nightlife, but I've been to some clubs and bars there, and clearly, I wasn't in the areas mentioned in the video because I never experienced anything like that. People there were mostly like people you would see anywhere else, dressed up in a way most people would dress up when going out. I never saw anyone get turned away based on appearance. If there's space and you aren't violent and you aren't too drunk, you get in.
That being said, I'm from the suburbs 1 hour north of LA, so I don't actually live there. Maybe there are more areas like this in LA than I realize. I've just not heard that from LA natives (my parents are originally from there and many of my extended relatives still live there).

And as much as I had always dreamed of going to Los Angeles because of the beaches and the mountains and the weather, I actually voted against it simply due to the toxic culture out there. I already knew from jump that everyday was going to be a comparison to other people. And I'm someone that doesn't have any social media. Literally all I have is you tube. So I know how to shut it off and keep myself out of situation that I know will be harmful to my mental. But I knew I could not go out there and just live around all of that and eventually not be affected by it. So I chose Seattle in the end and I ended up loving it and I was so thankful for that. I never went to Los Angeles. I still go and visit but I could never live in such a culture. It's not even just comparing yourself physically it's also comparing yourself with all of your accolades everything is about who do you work with? Who have you worked with? What can you do for me? What can I gain from you etc etc. It's literally like an episode of Black mirror where everyone has a social credit score. No thank you.

everybody has culture. white men and men in general will f anything they can. they will lie about preferences and pit women against each other. i agree to own who you are but don’t center white men or men period in that equation. they say anything for 🐱 women know this in their core but feel a rush to be called spicy lmfao. every woman from every background has something unique to offer in terms of culture, physical appearance, attitude, etc but the woman who wins is the woman who believes that she deserves to. ❤

As long as you're feminine, can express yourselves as a woman, be yourself as women and feel comfortable and happy. These days are difficult but it doesn't have to be difficult. As women we love expressing are selfs, we enjoy sensuality because we are in tune with are bodies and have the abilities men don't have. I love Egyptian make up but i also go without makeup when i need to do my duty in life. I don't invole myself in men who don't want a woman to be a woman and criticise me for who i am. I don't have to care what men think about me and i don't have to care what women on makeup stands in department stores think about me without makeup. Yes, i have been disgraced by women in department stores early morning, just threw myself out of bed trying to find makeup for a important event, even racial discrimination from a black makeup stand, because i needed makeup for a black relative for Christmas and men who deliberately just rude to me because i didn't pass the good look examination. People need to give women a break from being so pleasing, vits not just are looks its everything pleasing.

The girl who loves living in New York, this truly shows you how different people are. I find New York so disgusting and depressing and I’m obviously thinking of Manhattan cos that’s what people usually mean. Brooklyn is actually ok. But I prefer London or Chicago. London is a much more open city with relatively clean transportation system. Chicago has some of the best big city architecture I’ve ever seen, and its people have so much character.

I live in SoCal and I just don't give a shit. I've been like that my whole life I like what I like and never cared about what was popular never cared to be like other girls. I'm all natural and always have guys asking for my number or trying to give me theirs. I'm not thin, don't wear makeup and have naturally curly hair. Guys have asked me at the grocery store, the gym, randomly complemented at Target and just out walking in Long Beach, I used to work in the oil and gas industry actually doing construction and those guys wouldn't leave me alone lol 😅 I was always like no thanks. I was asked out in middle school and high school never went out with anyone. I think I look like a potato with a frizzy ball of hair and somehow I'm married now. I just think im pretty chill and funny as f if im honest. I've always dressed to my style not society's current standard. I think the difference is that these girls are looking for a certain way of life.

First girl, I’m pretty sure they pick by who’s inside with the money. Who’s in there buying the most drinks that night. They’re trying to bring in people for them. Probably why some days you can get in and others you can’t. You’re just not the type they need that night. You’re beautiful, I don’t think it’s an attractiveness problem, just a type problem maybe.

21:00 this is the perfect example when guys are talking about recognizing fake beauty. Most think about certain aesthetics when they consider if someone had plastic surgery or is "fake" - blonde, tanned, big boobs, big butt, wears neon colors, has very colorful makeup and so on. As long as you have more modest style, people won't think you are fake even if you are.

So sad glad I am born and raised in NY and literally hosted NYC nightlife parties when I was young getting paid to come and given a section bottles etc just to show my face at a party. My younger years were amazing here in NY. I still go out here with my husband. We like natural baddies here who can just do a little something and are gorgeous! We also celebrate diversity here and have many beautiful women of all ethnicities. Growing up pretty in NY I’ve never felt that way, ever I get compliments still and I’m pushing 40.
