There's going to be season 2 if season 1 did well. Netflix renews shows based on a series' performance. If the show did well, Netflix will give the show a bigger budget for the dark tournament.
That's what I think is the best comparison for this series. The live action Kenshin movies are overall good, but not great, but with some great parts. That's the impression I've gotten so far from Yu Yu Hakusho.
The Giant Sink Hole was from the arc after Dark Tournament that happened with Sensui- which Koenma teased in this episode when he said that the former Spirit Detective left. Also, massive fun fact, at the part where the guy in the delivery truck gets possessed, on the radio it was playing the original japanese song intro from the anime.

@@salamathesusatbiyernesulit2161 Yeah it ties with his plans, but as we have seen in the Live Action, only the machine was showed, but the giant hole is definitely from Sensui's scene where he shoots the energy into the air creating it. Did anyone notice that Kazuma Kuwabara was the only person who had the right unform. Green was just Yusuke thing lol and everyone at his school wore green. I found it funny, lol.
THIS! I gave a confused laugh at the change cause it means they're either saying Kuwabara goes to another school or the implication is that Yusuke wears the correct school uniform and Kuwabara's the rebel 😂 Like, yeah Kuwabara needs to be in blue and Yusuke in green. It's iconic. But there was also a reason behind it, lol.
So honest 1st thoughts. I the atmosphere and action are top tier. But my favorite scene in the whole anime is the funeral and the scene when Kuwabara cries for him, specifically the dub where he says "You're supposed to be here.. for me..." but in this version it felt like nostalgia was doing the heavy lifting, not necessarily the acting. In addition to that, I really don't like that Yuske carries Keiko out of the fire instead of the other way around and takes away from how much of a badass she is and why Yusuke loves her. Plus... how are they gonna introduce Pu? Or will they? All in all, cautiously optimistic.
You took the words out of my mouth. It's been a few years since I read the manga, but the scene of Keiko getting Yusuke out of the fire and Kuwabara being so sad about Yusuke's death are still very clear in my mind. I was disappointed they changed that in the LA, because I don't see any reason why it had to be changed to their version. I can understand some other changes, but not these two :(
i agree that kuwabara scene gets tears out of me every single time and they didnt do it justice. i enjoyed the show but it was very rushed and crammed together unfortunately
@@elentari15 I can see this change being made for few reasons. My first though was that in the LA, you would actually need the actress to do the 'Heavy lifting'. Which might not be feasible. You could use CGI or a dummy, but perhaps such options were lacking. I could see how both could look silly.
I love Kurama's hair. It's a more real life version of the hair from the show. I don't think the general fan base understands how much hair and teasing it would take to have hair like the manga/anime Kurama. It would just be too unrealistic for a student lol
@@alexandriteqween9760 sorry I was thinking of Kuwabara. I always have their names mixed-up. About Kurama, though he is not a deliquent, his hairstyle was also common with school deliquents. 12:07 I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who cried. 😢. The original anime taught me from a young age the severity of the loss of life and the impact you have around others even if you don’t know notice. I was hoping they wouldn’t miss the opportunity to get a real message across to the viewers. Such good acting.
Just watch the anime, the ANime is considered to be among the best of all time. The One Piece live action was loyal to each major plot point with the anime and captured the heart of what each character is about, this however just skipped all the major necessary arcs that were essential to building up the characters and comradery with each other. The major plot points they skipped were essential to showcase who the main characters were all about. This show could pass as something to kill the time and chill, but not worth the criticial praise it's anime counterpart received. I know you don't have to do a 1:1 adaptation to whatever is the source material, but to skip major plot points just defeats the purpose of having an adaptation in the first place. If there is a positive I can give with the show, its tha fight cheroegraphy and the costume. And the actors were pretty good.
I don’t want to watch it cause its creators are always Japanese and shot Dub ontop which doesn’t match comparison to One Piece is is Americans who do One Piece Live Action. So it looks meh.
nothing new with the fighting scenes. japanese live actions do great fight scenes. what amazes me is the cgi and vfx. i always find japanese live action's cgi and vfx a little bit tacky. it is good to see great improvements with their cgi and vfx.
I have seen the anime so long ago so so long ago that Hiei is Vincent to me and the Anime name is Ghost fighter and I am watching the live action with fresh eyes, and to say the least I enjoyed it very much, I wish they could have went with Vincent’s original look I don’t like the pajama pants that he had on in this live action but it’s a great watch looking forward to s2
This L.A is way better than One Piece. It's like, Japan once again prove it how to make film. First, Godzilla minus one and Yu Yu Hakusho this year. You should take notes, American film 😋
as a person who watched half way of one piece anime and majority of yu yu hakuso, yu yu hakusho had better effects and better acting because of it being japanese. the main problem they didnt follow was the pacing and the plot of the tournament since that majority of the story and character building, wished they added 1 more episode for us to get to know the characters.
5:03 I thought the same thing at first, but then I remembered in the anime certain things from the demon or spirit relm can't be seen my the average human... at least, I think that's it. It's been a decade or so for me, too. 9:36 Watching the dubbed version, I think he said "... What?" or "... Huh?" I figured it was just him dumbfounded someone would say no like that.

@@Omn1Mediahey man which part they teased Sensui? I couldn’t have missed it but omg. I wished that the episodes had more story just like in the animé, I cried hard when they killed the Master back then, but with this one it’s kinda hard to get too attached coz they only bonded for a short span of screen time. They summarized it well tho. I enjoyed it.
@@edssszy When he first meets Koenma, he mentioned how rough things have been since Yusuke's predecessor left and they've procrastinated filling that position for too long or something along those lines.
the story makes sense and the way they done it can make us have the black saga and the three kings in the long run. imagine if they did one to one adaptation it would take them 30 years just the first saga alone lol and id rather have the one we got.
No it wouldn’t take 30 years
@@charlesstewartiii5094 you dont say
@@charlesstewartiii5094the anime is kinda dragging.... I got bored actually its not my favourite anime but I like the tournament arc.
Finished watching all 5 episodes. Theres a lot missing in the story. Phase and growth of Yusuke and other protagonist were rushed. Only episode 1 was almost on point minus the scene in the school.
There was some thing i didn't like but episode 1 was okay. I would love they put the teacher scenes more in it as there was one powerful moment with it...
They literally left out 99.99% of everything just to rush it..
No perfect anime adaptation even one piece
@@bedjrocks5550One Piece at least did a better job and i love it. You can't be nitpicking when they did everything they could.
It's been literally 25 years since I watched the original anime and about the only thing I remember is bits and pieces about the main characters and the tournaments. I remember that he was supposed to be a spirit detective but I don't remember any of him actually doing that job. I'm very curious to see what the four episodes will be like.
True. I just remember he got killed in an accident and he becomes a spirit detective. Then idk what he do but all I remember was the tournaments.
Action and choreo in this is way better than One Piece live action
I love u man, u always say exactly what I'm thinking. I hope this You Tube thing is profitable for you because your spirit comes thru and u make people's lives better. Real talk.
Finally my childhood anime not trash like one piece
If you uh... play the video and push 2 on the numberpad to skip ahead, you might like what you see.
I wish the One Piece live action had this quality of vfx and fight choreography as this show. Maybe for the next season of one piece they ahould hire these guys.
Hey, I want your to watch the anime “Monster”. I only recommend this anime to people I trust with taste. I really want you to watch it!!!! I have a feeling that you’ll like it
12:07 I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who cried.
I looked at this just to even see if it was worth the time and OMG! Yu Yu Hakusho is one of my favorite animes and this looks amazing!
nothing new with the fighting scenes. japanese live actions do great fight scenes. what amazes me is the cgi and vfx. i always find japanese live action's cgi and vfx a little bit tacky. it is good to see great improvements with their cgi and vfx.
They destroyed the essence of YYH, my niece started crying with disappointment because of bad this was
I have seen the anime so long ago so so long ago that Hiei is Vincent to me and the Anime name is Ghost fighter and I am watching the live action with fresh eyes, and to say the least I enjoyed it very much, I wish they could have went with Vincent’s original look I don’t like the pajama pants that he had on in this live action but it’s a great watch looking forward to s2
this anime was i am 7 years old .. and this live action this is a epic 😊
The action in the live action is absolutely phenomenal. Definitely waaay better than i expected
Same color uniform is a big turn off already , they can’t even make that right
5:02 aha!!! That's one of the songs from the original soundtrack!!!
yu yu Hakusho live action looks like crow zero movie, looks good
I'm going to watch in Japanese later. I watched it in English and it wasn't too bad.
I'm surprised you didn't show his dropkick lmao
My wife was doing her work and caught that scene. We replayed it a few times
Indeed, that DROPKICK was golden. (He did show it tho 04:05)
This L.A is way better than One Piece. It's like, Japan once again prove it how to make film. First, Godzilla minus one and Yu Yu Hakusho this year.
You should take notes, American film 😋
as a person who watched half way of one piece anime and majority of yu yu hakuso, yu yu hakusho had better effects and better acting because of it being japanese. the main problem they didnt follow was the pacing and the plot of the tournament since that majority of the story and character building, wished they added 1 more episode for us to get to know the characters.
it fk good
the live action is sucks cause they change the storyline and the age
Dude. I had the same reaction to the Kurama wig.
a lot of the stunt work reminded me of All of us are dead
are those insects from that mad doctor ????
I refuse to watch after 20 mins 1st it suck that bad to me
Love this more than one piece adaptation
love it...rewatching it
I was amaze on black dragon spirit technique😮😮😮
Amazing action pack
The Black Black Club
Gee thanks. I wasn’t going to start this yet. Guess I have to now. lol. I know nothing about it but ready to try
There's SO much that they've tried to stuff in here, way too much. Toguro should have waited for season 2.
5:03
I thought the same thing at first, but then I remembered in the anime certain things from the demon or spirit relm can't be seen my the average human... at least, I think that's it. It's been a decade or so for me, too.
9:36
Watching the dubbed version, I think he said "... What?" or "... Huh?" I figured it was just him dumbfounded someone would say no like that.
It not that good its mid
WE NEED A SEASON 2!!
This was my childhood. I remember all of the kids doing the Spirit Gun pose everytime. Yuyu Hakusho, Flame of Recca, Dragon Ball Z, Pokemon, Gundam, One Piece, and Naruto all made my childhood great. Learned a lot of good things from these shows.
That was an intense first episode. They're going crazy with the action and coreography, it made one piece's action look bad in comparison.
just finished all 5 episode. U r absolutely right. This show's action scenes are crazy. I never thought this adaption can be this good. What happen to Netflix jesus. I absolutely hope they can do Naruto next 🤣
Never watched this anime, the live action was amazing for me.
You need to watch it its really good old but gold
