This might be a good idea, however, when you really look at it, it is a terrible idea. The amount of people that will bypass Limiteds like Bighead and other hats will be absurd. I am keeping my eyes peeled for CHAOS.
Yeah considering that roblox moderation is already so bad, if they made ugc completely public they were be so much bad stuff that no one could moderate it.
if they do implement this then I'll get to work on my own originals once again because i'll have more reason to do so. and then when/if they undo that decision I'll be one of the few who might remain in it for being original and not copying one another.
roblox 100% needs to hire more moderators

the screenshot report is a terrible idea if you can upload an image to it as it can be easily faked but if its from a screenshot straight from the game then its good

The party system was the peak of roblox with friends, it is such an underappreciated feature, having a reserved server without making a vip server is really good and it's one of the stupidest and braindead removals roblox did, like there was litteraly no reason???
even with the newer friend servers that you auto-join they still force you to wait for the server to empty up, sometimes the system even breaks and kicks you out because it thinks you're not allowed even after being given access to a server and everything (they also can't let you join sudo-games which is the games you get teleported to in roblox so studio doesn't get a overflow crash or because the game has a menu) , you also have to backtrack if the session expired and it catches you joining a friend but they aren't there in which you just get booted and kicked, it's such an obvious coding flaw and all combined it makes the process annoying.

I know that overall, the ability for anyone to upload ugc will be a disaster. But hear me out. There will be at least a few people who would be respectful and follow the ToS & try not to come off as a troll.
I mean giving freedoms to every user on a website/ platform, *will* backfire to a certain extent. Heck. For the longest time, Roblox's (classic) shirts and pants catalog had *several* issues. But now it's better. Its not perfect, but it's not as bad as it was before.
The same thing will most definitely be the case for UGC. People will abuse it. Roblox will take a long time to come up with a solution. But eventually, it'll be more better. Still rough around the edges. But better.
maybe make it to where its restricted to people who have a join date over a year or two so people cant just make alts

that background game looks strangely similar to a snowboarding game i had on my xbox 360
it looks like it has a similar ui (from what i can remember)
similar gameplay with time trials and stuff being in the game
the time trials have the same design when looking at them (floating gui)
town at the bottom of the map
the elevator things (idk what they are called) also look the same
the respawn animation looks similar
i have never played this game in the background as idk what it is called so i dont know if it has these:
customizable avatar and snowboard
three maps as the one i had did (one in alaska, one in japan and the other idk but maybe somewhere in europe???)
i have no clue as to what the game i had was called all i know is that it was made by ubisoft if i can remember properly
i used to play it a lot but i cant remember the name somehow...

the everyone can make ugc will be absurdly terrible, if the current ugc creators (some) are doing terrible, i wont be able to imagine what everyone would do
atleast put a barrier where an account has to be some years old, idk 1.5 years, 3 years or even 5 years atleast to be able to publish something, also to prevent botting (mostly)
tho making a custom ugc can be actually great if some people are just great at it! i would try to do one tbh and i would use it maybe forever
@Schlep idea: add timestamps to your video's so it will be easier to skip the news that you don't like. (if you know how to do that)

- people gonna replicate limiteds ALOT more
- people gonna do copies of other people's hats
- very quickly there would be some sort of bypass, nsfw hats might apear
- alot more game breaking, annoying hats

@@sammptus agree, theres many people who makes good stuff but never got accepted, or roblox just ignored them
i think free ugc perms for everyone wont be neccesarily good, there will be bad stuff, but some people who have always wanted to make cool ugc can and i think thats an absolute win.

Them planning to have everyone be able to make Items is nothing new, and It is not a problem, think about it, ofc there will be copies but at the end of the day, its there platform, most new people would find it cool they could make their own stuff, and why keep it limited? adding more people who are too lazy, like myself to register to become a creator will also add more items that are not copied, ofc new copies but the percentages of new items will outweigh the copied one,
and itll cost money, if I pay 10k robux to make an item, thats $35 USD I could've gotten, plenty to cover a couple minutes of work to review a said item
