I figured with many new players coming to Football Manager after Christmas its the right time to release the BEST 4-2-3-1 FM24 tactic to date so far. It is a fantastic free flowing tactic that focuses play down the left and the right, resulting in a lot of wing play!

I used this tactic in my first season in my celtic career, currently unbeaten after 19 games, and only conceded 9 goals and scored 57

@@JoshDaly eh its only cus im doing celtic too on my game and ive won pretty much every game except for one draw using a random tiki taka tactic i made so i just find it funny and irl celtic dominates in the spfl so it makes sense
What mentality do you have in this tactic? Positive or attacking?
I created a mix of these instructions and the Xabi Alonso 3-2-4-1 Formation (from your previous video).
First game: 12x0 against a small club in DFP Pokal.
Second game: 6x0 against Leipzig.

Wow this tactic. On my ipswich save atm been phenomenal, just beat bristol 9-1!!!!!! won 4-1 against leicester (league leaders) so many high scoring games and winning so much. Thanks for the great tatics will be on the look out for the others you do great video

Just started using this tactic in my United save. Rashford as an IF is 🔥🔥🔥
6 games played, 6 won so far.
So I tried this for last 21 games with Bradford in the prem and W10 D5 L6. Considering I was 17pts behind 17th it was always gonna be a big ask to avoid relegation but to finish just 4pts off is pretty good. I’m hoping with a full season in championship I should bounce back up.

I have now tested this tactic sufficiently with my club Brugge Save. 5 champions in a row, 3 cup wins. In the current season I won 19 games out of 20 and drew one. I also won the second leg of the Champions League qualifier for the round of 16 4:0 against Manchester United. I'd better not mention that I lost the first leg 7:1. Absolutely dominant tactics if you have the right players.Thank you very much. But I do have one question. Does it make sense to have a playmaker alongside the BWM? I'm currently testing with a DLP and a Regista. But I realize that the protection at the back is no longer as stable.
I did a full season In championship with Bradford with this. I’m currently in 2035 so have decent players and finished 2nd behind Burnley. P46 W29 D8 L9 F113 A50. Highlight hammering Man U 5:1. Obviously tactic wont work like when it’s simmed but it does work. Hopefully it continues to work in prem.

I found my IFs weren’t getting involved as much so I pushed them to attack and dropped the AM to support and I’m now fighting for the bundesliga

Hi John great tactic just a quick question do you have it mainly set on attack or positive as I’ve been running it with attack and whilst good I’ve a team full of wonder kids (thx to genie scout 😉) and find it can be a little inconsistent certainly not 98% more 65%
I switch between the games mate, all depends on the opposition so although I may sim 70% of the results im always tweaking bwetween the 3 tactics before each game

Hi Josh, thanks for coming up with this tactic! Wanted to ask, if I wanted to field 2 central midfielders instead of 2 DMs, what should be the roles for both CMs?
I always have favoured a DLP/BBM. But because of how attacking this tactic is I’d go with a BWM/BBM

At the moment playing with Nurnberg, I had already moved up to the bundesliga however the team was doing poorly, after this formation I came on a streak of 4 games without losing (Facing teams like Bayern, Nice 2x and Frankfurt that is the 3rd) I highly recommend trying this 4-2-3-1
If you want something that maybe you could add, it would be changing AM for an SS, could be perfect
Nice work mate, this tactic seems to be getting me some nice results, but now I'm finding my bookings are racking up, how much do you think thats to do with the tackle harder insutruction? Will it affect it too much to not have it?
You can remove some id go with removing it from the centre backs

Hi Josh, just a quick question here, would it be ok to swap the Attacking Midfielder for a Shadow Striker as it fits George Thomas more in the cambridge squad
100% would be fine mate had a viewer of mine do already and he told me it actually worked better for him
Bohemians FC I was down one spot above relegation playoffs after a 10-game streak with no wins. After 10 wins in a row I'll prolly win the whole thing (Irish Prem)
A test with wolves would be interesting, I’ve ran 433/343/523 and I’ve had success. I think they’re a good team in game for whatever reason, just curious if anyone else has noticed this

Are the goal scoring clips with Cambridge made with the two wingers on support? Because I also need a tactic with the wingers crossing into the middle and doing cut-back passes

@@JoshDaly I play with MSV Duisburg in the Bundesliga now but I am still an absolute underdog, although i finished 10th in the first Bundesliga-season but I am trying to make more goals with the cutbacks and the crosses, because my players are not that good in cutting inside which often results in loosing the ball.
I would love to see a 4231 or a 433 tactic, which really focusses on the beautiful crosses and cut-back passes like you did with Cambridge🤩

@@matt_gtuk1807best thing to do if your on this bad run is make sure you have match review after each game and a team bonding session in the week somewhere if possible in your training schedules as it will help tactical familiarity, team cohesion etc and help squad happiness also check to see what players are unhappy and see if anything you can do with promises to boost them or basically just sell or freeze them out if you can't it will help you get dressing room back and the sessions will help when changing tactics but give it a bit.
Started use this tactic with gilligham.
At the moment, I'm in Premier League.

Hi Josh, am I doing something wrong with this tactic or your meta 433 one? I’m trying to work out which one to use for my Chelsea non themed playthrough and they have both been performing badly for me. Even as Man City the best season I had only won me the prem with 26 wins. I’m on fm touch if that makes a difference at all

Nice tactic but I am full on attack with my 4231…..wing backs bombing down the flanks…Pirlo like Regista pulling the strings more defensive midfielder next to him getting forward and shoot more often….Inside forward and inside winger….goals goals and more goals….will experiment with two Liberos and attack from 10 positions….sweeper Keeper on attack

Is it ok for the passing directness to be on "shorter" instead of "much shorter"? Ive realise on "much shorter" my players tend to give the ball away too much

Another banger! First season with Benfica won the treble lost 1 game in the league, Second season in another trophy in the bag. 14 games in 13 wins 1 draw & smashed porto 7-0 and my new LB getting 5 goals and 16 assists already with my goal difference sitting at +50. With the right recruitment of players this tatic goes up another level! If you are an elite team this would be insane. Great work as always!

i have rasmus hojlund which is better as target man or pressing forward by maybe 2.0 is it better to change that or keep on advanced forward?

Best tactic I've ever seen from you was a 4231 with 2 defensive midfielders mate I tweaked 1 thing tbf and won the euros with scotland and finished 3rd in the world cup while winning the champions league 3 times in a row with Leicester.. I can't mind the name of the tactic sorry lol but seems to have taking a dip since the recent update sadly.

I won the Championship with Millwall and am now in the Premier League with a fairly bad squad. Millwals economics aren’t the best. So my question… Can i play this formation against City Liverpool and the other strong ones? Attacking….? What can i do if my team is losing with this formation in the match?
i would go in with the default against the big teams and switch to attacking if you need a goal sir

At first this Tactic I lost 4 games in a row as Bournemouth in my second season… I’m on a 7 game unbeaten streak beating west ham 7-0 and only conceding 2 goals… tactics are a joke. My hats off to you fella for these
