Same here. I was doing emotionally pretty good, until my classmates started to freak out. Now, I'm completely f*ked. And let me just say... Use of English (especially transforming sentences) is the worst part of FCE. I am "so f*king glad", that after listening we have 15 minutes break, and then writing followed by third part, because when your mind is completely blank after your poorly written essay/ letter or story, Use of English is simply a piece of cake. Tomorrow will be magnificent... I apologise for my emotional breakdown. I just wanted to give proof to others who are terrified that they are not alone...
I am going to have my exam tomorrow and I’m super nervous because I was supposed to do the pet exam but my teacher told me to do the fce exam uff dhdjasjs wish me luck :’)
Great !!! Thanks for tips greetings from peru I think give the Cambridge exam in 2 months I had a long stopped in recently months ...thanks again this video help me a lot...
you are the best , you helped me a lot tomorrow is my FCE exam and My mind is fully refreshed and I feel Ready to take that exam Probably Im going to stay there for 4 fully hours :P never mind Thanks a lot again You re the best teacher I even found in Online Tutorials
I noted that it's necessary to see all the sentences and to perceive the sense. Word Formation for me, it's very difficult to try to identify what is the word I'll complete in the sentence. ...However, If you pay attention for example..."Strong and _________" of course, you will complete with another adjective...and the begin of the sentence with this expression "Unfortunately...." you know that it treats the negative point...How I said, It's necessary to get the sense of the sentence.
I'm taking an FCE exam in few hours. And I'm so nervous because English is not my native language and i think my grammar is not enough even though i did work on it a lot. Wish me luck..
Oxford Online English yeah it went pretty well actually, the video helped a lot and the use of english part was not hard as i expected. but the reading part was so much harder than i thought and i was extremely nervous on the speaking part, hope i'll pass.
Hi there. Are you talking about this sentence: 'Unfortunately, these farmers are _____ to sell their produce'? If so, the correct word would be 'unlikely.' 'Unfortunately' refers to something bad. If we said 'Unfortunately, farmers are likely to sell their produce,' that would not make sense because it is not logical that selling produce is a bad thing. Usually, farmers selling produce is a good thing. Hope that is helpful for you.
i have a question about part 2 second example. if i choose to answer "besides" would that be incorrect? is there always only one word to use it on part 2? if you use another one it's incorrect?
Hi Ana. 'Besides' would be an incorrect construction for 'People often think my work is very boring, but ______ from some paperwork, it isn’t at all!' because we can't say 'besides from.' Hope this helps you!
We had a mock test at school last week and I got an 88 on this part but knowing the answers in the listening test is something I lack (even though I'm fully capable of understanding the audios)
hello, I have a question, it is better to write " your birthday will be on Monday" or " your birthday is going to be on Monday" i will like to know which one of this is correct and why the other no, please help =)
What if you have an issue with the farmers .. say they have the monopoly and take advantage of that to keep the prices up.. ? .. then you could say :” unfortunately these farmers are LIKELY to sell their products “.. yet it would be incorrect according to the test , but not there being a pre context this can be ok too .
Hi there. It's important to think only in the context of the sentence given in the exam. If we said 'unfortunately these farmers are likely to sell their products,' it would be a little confusing without another sentence to say why it's unfortunate that they will sell products. In a normal situation, it's a good thing to sell products you produce. Therefore, keep it simple and stay within the context of the sentence that is given. This will help you in the exam overall. Hope this helps you!
Hi Gaby. Here 'There is no point in...' is correct as written. If we use 'not' we would say something like, 'There is not a point in...' or, 'It is not worth...' Hope this helps you!

Can't the word LIKE in third part be changed to likely/unlikely depending on the view of person who is saying the sentence

hello, I have a question, it is better to write " your birthday will be on Monday" or " your birthday is going to be on Monday" i will like to know which one of this is correct and why the other no, please help =)
Hi Gabriel. The best way to say it is: 'Your birthday is on Monday'. This lesson can help you as well: www.oxfordonlineenglish.com/talk-about-future.
i think the second one
What if you have an issue with the farmers .. say they have the monopoly and take advantage of that to keep the prices up.. ? .. then you could say :” unfortunately these farmers are LIKELY to sell their products “.. yet it would be incorrect according to the test , but not there being a pre context this can be ok too .

@@Oxfordonlineenglish1 Thank you! I am waiting for the result right now.
Isn't "spicy" an adverb?
It's actually an adjective! It describes flavor of different types of foods.
It's not obvious an adjective is required; 'be' could indicate a passive form followed by a full infinitive verb pattern.
Gracias!!
