Great instructions and narration. Cut and dry with no confusing terminology.
Great hand modeling.
He's definitely got range. I'd like to see him break out of office supplies and maybe try his hand at watches or perhaps bracelets.
Excellent!! Working from home with my new shredder is intimidating - your instructions were perfect!! Also, your speaking cadence is so soothing !
I feel better after watching this video, like a went to spa or something
Baby oil on some paper is perfect iv done that for years no problems 👍
Thank you! Very good advice.
THANKS FOR THE INFO.
I have a Royal VP1000 shredder & it makes a whirring noise& paper won’t feed through
What the problem with my unit? It may be years old but it’s hardly used. Can you help me to get this thing working ?
Is the Whitaker Brothers shredder oil a mineral oil? thanks for the great video!
Last night I found out the hard way. I tried WD40 on the teeth because it was jammed with thick remnants. The next sheet of paper cased the shredder to explod in my face with a ball of fire. Lost some hair, brows, lashes, and skin was slightly burned. The house stunk for hours.
Be careful and go paperless on statements from companies you deal.
Muahahaha HAHA HAAAAA!!!!!!!!...... I really wish I had read this comment before using WD40 myself, I didn't even finish the video. I thought I was safe using silicon WD40. My paper shredder exploded in my face. I lost all my eye lashes, some brows and hair. Now my face is in pain.
Lol...you two chat rubbish...this isn't an American film with an exploding car chase lol.
I guess what happens is the bin fills with WD40 vapor and the heat from the cutters ignites the gas. I rather use a non petroleum oil like vegetable oil because it is safe on all plastics, and use cardboard instead of paper since cardboard doesn't stick to the cutters.
Cool Story.
Very helpful! Thank you!!
On my manual it says you can use veggie oil.
I use my leftover oil that I drain out of the engine from my cars which is the best
what should the oil be made of to reduce gumming, potential combustion, residual scent etc. is silicone or lithium too heavy?
Canola Oil.
Thanks 👍
Mineral oil is just fine
Does canola oil work?
I have a small home office model and I bought some oil and it came in a 12 oz squirt top bottle and I had to cut the spout which is dumb because there’s no nozzle cap. Tf is this !? Gonna have to tape the nozzle to frm spilling it !
The oil won't evaporate. Just set it up on a high shelf where it won't spill.
Good suggestion for including a little cap of some sort, though. Nobody's ever suggested that before.
Cool. Yeah I put it high on the shelf don’t want my toddler running around and spilling it or anything. Yeah pass it along ! Thank for reply.
Why don’t you try one of the small plastic caps from the hardware store that you twist spliced electrical wires....I keep all sizes for different needs, like caulking tubes that are half used. I use them much more for things that they weren’t intended for than I do for splicing insulation!
@@jerryglazener8129 wow never gave that a thought. Oh yeah I got a whole assortment of wire splice caps in the garage. Good idea.
@@jerryglazener8129 People aren’t very resourceful -it’s kinda sad but maybe it’s always been like that. Even during caveman days.
Thaks for the tutorial but I wont buy your oil :) I will use a generic oil from a hardware store instead xd...
Thanks for letting us know, we were on pins and needles.
isn't youtube a wonderful thing nowadays
No such thing, I use WD 40 on my Fellows 450c. No issues.
I've used WD40 for ten years on my fellows shredder never any problem. Just a light spray periodically run forward and reverse that's it.
it works but fire hazard
@@EPCRh I have had 2 explode on me a light spray when the shredder is cool is probably safe
WD 40 isn't lubricant. It's probably also flammable.
@@dennisw8593 so u did a light spray on the schredder & blew up a WD40 can or a non combustable schredder not once but twice 😂
Ffs I just put a few sheets of paper with WD40 sprayed on it.... Should I be concerned? :/
LOL
@@themistersmith 😂 i just pressed the F it button! no way am I buying another shredder because of a few sheets or paper 😅 safe to stay, I'm still alive hahaha

@@themistersmith 😂 trueee that 😅 #StaySafe
YES. WD40 made mine explode right in my face!
Lol...the advert for shredder oil is BS.
You only need to find out the viscosity of the oil.
Total rubbish about the problem with using wd 40. Just about impossible to intentionally start a fire or try to get an explosion. Talk about misinformation this video is the quintessential example of waste of ones time by viewing it!!
