A white night fury could have adapted to snow so thats where they live. That could be a possibility because we havent seen many snow habitats in the series or movies. And as he said night furies like to stay hidden so it would be hard to find. Maybe there are multiple coloured night furys because it may depend on their habitat

Hey Wuz Fang! Yes, an albino is possible, but it's rather unlikely. As for the snowy habitat - a species has to be in a snowy environment for a LONG time before it's phenotype (outer colours) begin to evolve. By the time the night furies eventually adapted to the snow, they would probably be a different species (just like sand wraiths, which became golden).

Even though you said toothless might live in a warm area in another video he also take the alphas ice breath without a scratch so maybe the nightfury live like whales how they go to warmer or colder places depending on how warm or cold it is or breeding times and also drago has a bit of foreign look and some creatures can change color on their heat or season so their habitat could be in the colder seasons volcanic places and they are black to gain heat and they could change white in the warmer season to stay cool please make a video on this

I think the Night fury species is the first dragon species ever. Their Bat-like appearance and nature suggests they are merely evolved bats that came to hunt outside of caves. When they began to expand their hunting ground their species evolved into many different types of dragon: they began to hunt in the day and their color and shape changed depending on they're habitat and prey. This is probably why some dragons look similar to toothless or each other.

Or the night furies could have been forced out of there natural habitat and ended up in the deserts and icy areas. It would make sense because they share a model with the woolly howl and sand wraith so the night furies could have turned in to the wooly howl and sand wraith.

In HTTYD 2 Valka says "I've never seen seen one this close before" when she sees toothless, could valka have seen a might Fury from a distance? But how? They blend in with the night! And as many people suggest, only come out at night so could valka have seen a white night fury in the night?

There could be an albino nightfury, but albinism is rare and it can be dangerous because it weakens the albino animal, sometimes.

And in humans too. It can cause poor eyesight and sensative skin. Sun is supposed to be very harmful for albinism patients. (I'm not as sure about animals, but I believe it would be similar)
Albinism comes in like three different types of varied degrees one means there's literally no color what so ever and the have serious vision problems. Another type isn't as bad and the third is different and more rare. I did a research project for biology a couple of years ago but that's all I remember of it. Albinism is quite fascinating. And it could be possible but it would be super and I mean really super rare especially since melanism is the exact opposite almost..... kinda-ish. Both are mutations that affect color anyway.

Some dragons don't come in multible colors indeed. But something about them will still shine different from the others.
Night Furies are black indeed. But remember the last moment in the second movie where under Toothless his scales glow blue marks? What if those are different from color with other night furies? ( Together with different eye color )
That's a really good point! I'd love to look into exactly what 'alpha mode' means for Toothless. I do wonder if the differ!

Hey Constance! Albinism IS possible, but extremely rare and a genetic mutation, so I didn't include it because it didn't count as finding one 'naturally' :)
Hisui Chi Yeah Toothless was blue in the first movie but he turned pitch black in the second one. His eye color got brighter as well in HTTYD 2.
I think that's just a sign of aging.
Maybe Night Furies are blue when they first hatch and get darker as they age.
Much like how a Lion's nose darkens as they get older.
Instead of it being a snow fury couldn't it just be an albino night fury and because it's albino it would have realised it couldn't camouflaged during night in the dark so it could have migrated to the snowy mountains because its a more suited place for an albino night fury to live.
the question is could it stand the cold though. and get the fish while waters are in ice.
Tina have you watched the movie tootless has dived into freezing waters multiple times unharmed and they brethe fire if he ever got cold he could just heat up a stone slab like toothless does in the movie/show's

nah I chose this video since he mentioned the white night fury, and was just all 'Oh hey, there really IS going to be one!' though honestly I am not convinced she's necessarily a 'night fury' since she has enough physical differences, beyond color that unless nightfuries have far more sexual dimorphism than other dragon species, she may just be a similar sub species like coyote is to a wolf. But who knows. Seem's she's called a 'light fury'
I think you're right, since they don't call her a "Night Fury," but a "Light Fury." However, I bet she's closely related enough to mate with Toothless since she seemed to be attracted to him in the trailer. Well... until he pulled his weird chicken dances in front of her xD

hmm it doesn't really work that way.
a albino night fury would be nearly impossible to find the main reason is because normal night fury's are incredibly rare and a albino Ill use humans as a example the little over 7 billion people on the planet and there's only like 10-30ish albino human that like 200 million to 1 that means if there was 200million night furys there's only one albino night so super incredibly almost impossible since at most their's probably less than 50 night fury's on the planet
The albinism for the night terrors is most likely different from most animals that are called “albino.” In the show, we see a group of night terrors who live in a cave and are very sensitive to sunlight. These dragons have adapted to their habitat and is not the same as an albino born to a normal dragon. It seems as if it was a change that happened gradually over time. So it would not be a fair comparison to compare the group of albino night terrors to the possibility of an existing albino night fury.
Like Neil’s comment said, it is highly unlikely for an albino night fury to be born due to the low population of night furies in the HTTYD universe. However, that doesn't mean that it is impossible for one to be born. Albinism can happen in any species of animals. On the off chance that an albino Night Fury is born, it most likely will not survive for very long. Animals who are born albino naturally have a low immune system, and are weak. They are more likely to contract different diseases and this makes them good prey for other animals. Though Night Furies are very lethal, the mixture of weakness and disease would make them unable to defend against predators. Also, they would not live for long. In comparison, albino Alligators are estimated to have the life expectancy of 24 hours without human intervention.
Wait what if there were night furys that lived in snow? They could have addapted to having white skin to blend in with snow during the day and at night for protection and yes they can still blend into the snow at night too because its like what polar bears do

but the whole hunting out at night debunks the whole nightfuries live in caves thing. If toothless or other nightfuries were truly caves dwellers, the skin colour doesn't matter because there is no light underground. In real life, creatures who dwell in deep caves have white or very pale, fragile skin because they don't need to protect themselves from the sun like toothless clearly does. Also, there is a bit of a plot hole. Why is toothless so well adapted to night hunting if he clearly enjoys a diet of fish? You can't use the excuse that he is adapted to hunt humans, because if he were so adapted to hunt humans there would be more nightfuries thriving in the war like environment that the first movie provided.
and if Toothless is nocturnal, why does he sleep at night and fly during the day like the rest of the dragons?
i dont know for sure but maybe it is because the red death forced him to steal fish but that is where another problem occurs. the red death is not a nightfury's natural habitat because ,for example gronckles were forced by the red death but in race to the edge it shows that wild gronckles were never controlled by a red death.
Well hiccup states at the start of the first movie toothless doesn't steal or get food since he only attacks at night i think he couldnt hunt fish or he would be seen and I think toothless just changed the time he sleeps to match other riders and dragons as for the reason he didn't live in a cave his arch enemy was a whispering death so it could of drove him out of the cave which would explain why toothless hated him so much and how he came across the red death
If you look very closely at Toothless in some shots, he appears to have very faint striping/spots. My theory is that Toothless is actually a melanistic example of his species, similar to a black jaguar, which has very faint spots if you look closely.
So I think that other night furies may be spotted/striped, rather than black.

but... there are many different habitats and all the times Toothless was in the snow he didn't really struggle it was just blending in... what if the white nightfuries (or however you spell it) are just that... camouflaged with the ice and snow... what if we have seen them but or eyes are trained well enough to see them like in the movie they mainly relied on sound to find where Toothless was... so what if we have but haven't seen one at the same time???

Technically when you think about it, it is possible to have a white Night Fury, most likely, like he said, the night fury uses it's color as camouflage, making it easier to hunt. But, if there were Night Furies in colder and snowier areas, the color white (or even grey) would make it easier to hunt, or do whatever it wants using camouflage. Albinos are also something to think of, though it is rare, it could happen right? Alligators have Abino relatives, though they normally don't get along `with each other, it still happens. So from my theory, I believe a white Night Fury IS possible.
For the sake of discussion, it isn't unlikely this proposed "Snow Fury" is able to breed with a Night Fury. Theoretically they are 'cousins' of each other genetically. Just as a Lion and a Jaguar or Lion and a Leopard can breed, so it is likely that this "Snow Fury" and a Night Fury could breed. Chances are, however, most if not all of the offspring would be be infertile.
Granted, this isn't likely to happen in the wild. First of all, we know the Night Fury is likely severely endangered and/or extinct (as in Toothless is the last of his kind), second of all the chances of encountering an animal of such a different biome is slim to none. As you said, a "Snow Fury" would likely die in a Night Fury's habitat and vice versa. Even if they did breed, however, you would still have the problem of 1) infertile young and 2) offspring unlikely to be adapted to their environment.
This being said, considering Toothless is 'domesticated', and Hiccup is prone to traveling, say they encountered this "Snow Fury" and Toothless found himself a mate. If they had offspring, those offspring are likely to be kept under Hiccup's watchful gaze, ensuring their survival. Then, when adults, they would be mostly dependent on humans - not living under the threat of not being adapted to their environment.
An albino probably won't happen though, As to be albino u get a defect on your skin, And in the movies and series, No dragons have diseases or defects. Theres is a VERY VERY low chance it could happen though
Wait, why doesn't toothless use his constant flame (like hookfang and stormflys fire move) because he has done it before, when he heats the ground, but why not in combat, it may be just as effective as the plasma blasts that he uses normally... Idk but canny answer this? I NEED ANSWERS XD
What if the white night fury has something like a changewing, its original scales are white, but when it hunts in the dark or when it gets frightened, it can somehow change them to black, and blend in

I agree, but I also think dreamworks could make a distant cousin to the nightfury which could be called 'snowfurry' or something like that. The 'snowfury' would look exactly like the nightfury but have white scales and have eyes that can locate and see during blizzards.
I believe in an episode of Dragons:Riders of Berk or another series, Toothless and Hiccup are trying to escape from the Screaming Death leading them into a cave, Toothless used a form of echo location to navigate through the tunnel with ease. He's used this a few times but I can't remember any other examples.

Hey I'm talking about the "cloak" that you said the light fury did. Well, I'm not saying that your wrong but I have a different idea. What if she did both? The cloak combined with the light would be just enough time to fly away or hide now, you may be wondering why would she need to hide she's already invisible well, heat wares off especially in the cold night and that blind effect only lasts for so long.

Perhaps the law of genetics and the law of natural selection come into play. It can be argued that the white skin gene is recessive (ignoring the fact the the skin colour gene is controlled by many genes not just one) and therefore through generations of off spring, a white night fury has come to be. This works since recessive genes are able to skip generations due to its rarity. Furthermore, using the law of natural selection, a white night fury is extremely rare due to negative gene. Thus meaning that less night furies want to mate with it as it is not a admirable trait to have, therefore resulting in why we have never seen one, or why no one has.
This may also work with habitual skin characteristics like melanin. Our skin becomes darker after tanning in the sun as a way to protect ourselves from the harmful rays, similarly, the dark skin of toothless is a result in him constantly being in the sun (although this goes against your cave theory) and meaning that a white night fury may reside in freezing temperatures (much farther up north than berk ) and reside in less sun covering places, resulting in a need for mass absorption of sun light (assuming that the sun has characteristics needed by a night fury)
THIS IS JUST A THEORY!!! I hardly go into specifics (cause I’m lazy) and there are many different aspects which can argue that this is incorrect. What do you guys think?

Look, the thing from me is that the likeliness of the ONLY other Night Fury being an albino, is very low, and i don't see how adding an albino Night Fury would make much sense in the movies, it would just be random, and could possibly lead to confusion amongst the crowd of people watching. Also, about the name, all the dragons in the series have been known to have names that aren't necessarily like any typical pet or human name, their names are SORT OF linked to their personality and abilities.
