Great work!!! Constrictive advice from an old punk drummer: You’ve got the timing; check. You’ve got what it takes. Now, for the next level …. Realize that when you are watching drummers, what separates limp-wristed zombie players (not you; others) from powerful and soulful players (and you are heading in that direction) is head, body, shoulder, and upper arm motion. Your body has to feel the music, and your upper arms and shoulders add power and soul and groove in ways you should explore. All this adds up to “feel”. Stewart Copeland is amazing. Also, I like syncopation as well; I intentionally don’t play completely time perfect; because if a machine can do it, it’s not human; If a human does it properly, a machine cannot even approach it. This is the best advice I can give. I’m not saying I’m a great drummer, but just coaching because I think that with a little of this you could be a beast on the drums; all the best; keep it going.
