I've seen strong players do ff 3+4 , then ub 4 after t! as a combo ender - which seems like it's a bit more damage than T!, dash UF+4, WS+4 - I think I've seen you do it on stream, and in this video at 0:19 and 8:39 - why does that work some of the time? At 2:56 , in the DF+3 combo, I get a bit more success doing dash instead of walking forwards. Thanks for the video Mr Croft, it's really useful

Easiest way to do this is the Waning Moon (f2+3) combo. Here's the interesting part: If the opponent is somewhat on axis during the combo, the opponent can block the ub4 by doing a quick getup. This is where you wake up by tapping the up button. Any other wakeup option gets hit by the ub4 including back roll. This is amazing in low ranks because you can abuse it to get free damage if they don't know about it.

As of 1.04 almost all combos that use f3 as a filler are much easier thanks to the buff it received. Strict dashes are not that much required except for very timed enders:)

for df+3, there is an alternate combo route if you hold D after df3 to transition into AOP. Can do an AOP UF~N~3 > f2 > f3,1 > RDS 2,2 > RDS 4 for 72 dmg total Just thought I'd mention in case it was overlooked
I read the pinned comment and I'm aware it's not about the most damage. However, with a slight modification of your ender you can get better damage and still get the distance between you and your opponent. DB3 or DF23 are much better ender options for anything in front of you than UF4 WS4 will ever be. Both of those create the distance you're looking in most of your scenarios and provide you with maximum damage for the combo. Again, I'm aware it's about the combo path and not max damage, but sometimes they're one in the same when it comes to enders.
I would note that for the tornado -> uf4D, ws4 ender, if you are not far enough to the left side the ws4 won't connect on an opponent who stays on the ground. You can fix that issue with a quick ssl before doing uf4.
I play Xiaoyu, I'm somewhat new to Tekken and comboing but I'm learning all her puzzle pieces so I can watch videos like this and hopefully string something together. So far the only juggle I can do 100% of the time is f2 three times but I'm getting better :P EDIT: 1 month later I've got all the basics, pretty strong combo game, just hit shinryu and working on my wall enders and harder combo extensions :)

I think she needs nerfs yes,but some people acting like Xiaoyu is the worst thing in this game where things like King Dragunov Jun DJ exist..imo. And she was never really meta,maybe in S1 in T7. I don't think she won any big tourneys. don't know,i just feel like people are kind of different when it comes to her especially when she is at the top,people going on her so easily all the time. But maybe it's just me.
A small alternation I might add/change to the combos that end with rds 4 on grounded opponents, instead of using rds 4, I would say use rds 3 instead, it yields 14 dmg on grounded as opposed to 10 from rds 4. That being said, becareful if combo ends up by the wall, it's possible to jump over them while on ground. Rds 4 at the wall is preferable.

How to make the RDS 3+4, 3+4 combo more consistent? I can't get the first f2 to hit. I guess you have to micro dash even faster? The problem is that if you do the forward inputs too fast you get ff2.
Im having trouble doing the WS hold 2 after HYP 3 (3 steps), any tips or advice? Seems like I am usually too late. I might have to settle for doing some of the standard combo routes instead if I can't get this down 😅

I am not sure of the meanings of many things like 'launchers' and all as I am new to Tekken 8, however, it seems like these combos were showcased with the 'Counter' setting being either 'Multiple Counter Hits' or 'Counter Hit', thus, some of the entry points for these combos do not apply to my game. For example, the low kick move while in phoenix (don't understand the button notation either, I play on PC keyboard).
yeah but that's by design, its so you know how to get an optimal combo after counterhit. You'll find out (or already did) that in games you make a counter and then don't know how best to use it and end up throwing things at random, this is so you can know what to do in those cases

Is there any downside to starting and ending heat after a HYP3+4 (keeping most everything the same in your "Heat Engager Combo Enders" section) for more damage? (I'm new to the game so my wording might be awkward)
13:37 i can't get this combo here to not drop - after rds 2,1, dash, I keep getting dash 2,1 instead of f2,1, or if i get f2,1 - it's too late and the combo drops i tried adapting the combo to use a heat engage + heat smash instead of f,2,1 - but landing the while running 3 in the next part without getting the combo to reset to 0 seems impossible?
I eventually hit the combo a few days ago after an hour and a half more practice! Just took a bit of hand hurting to get there - after rds 2, 1, you've got to have that dash buffered really early. And for that wr 3 after balcony break, the bane of my existence, I had the best success buffering fff just before she touches the ground.

At 2:52, how do I do AOP up-foward neutral 3? I know how to do electrics on Jin but this AOP combo is up-forward which confuses me.
In AOP, DON‘t press uf and 3 at the same time, instead, press uf first and then 3 right after.

You need to do it faster, the window for it to connect is small
The input can also be buffered early. You have to practice the timing, there is a small window to connect it.
