Great video, guys. I have a standard view studio booked there for 1 night after our upcoming (FIRST!!) DCL cruise and I am pretty excited about having the #1 most points friendly room in the monorail loop. This looks great to me, and like you said, we can hop up to TOTWL.
I just got back from a stay at BLT and got trapped in the bathroom because the door wasn’t hung properly. We called maintenance but they made us call 911 🤦♀️ “standard protocol” set us back 45 minutes. Upside was we were on the 5th floor which is where the bridge is and we had a wonderful view of the fireworks at MK
I’m a DVC member and I’ve frequently gotten ground floor rooms. I always recoil and bristle initially, but it usually turns out fine. Ground floor in a Poly Moana room overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon was stunning! (How I got a Moana room is a happy mystery!) My Boardwalk ground floor was irrelevant. It was a one night stay and it was raining. My GF Resort Studio was…enhanced by the delicious Chianti I’d purchased at Riviera the day before. This one wasn’t the best and I needed a drink! It looked at the back of the pool bar, there were golf carts parked in front of me, and my far off view of the Contemporary was blocked by two cherry pickers. Better luck next time, right? I still love GF. You guys are lucky to have each other to travel with and share experiences with. I always go to WDW alone. But our trip to WDW is what we make of it! BTW, my BLT room was on a high floor, but it was in the horseshoe and just felt like a swanky Miami high rise. I like your grassy ground floor.
Thank you for watching and sharing your experiences. We ended up really enjoying our ground floor room very much and we always make the best of our DVC stays.
I think most of the standard view rooms are on the ground floor where you can’t see much from up high. It’s almost a benefit to be on the ground floor because you can just walk out to magic kingdom, the contemporary, and bus stop without using the elevator.
Absolutely, each room always has something great if you give it a chance!
Yes, always make the best of any situation.

Oh Nooo! Being stuck in a bathroom does not sound like much fun at all. Glad you still had a great time though. Thanks for watching.
