It's pretty cool ay 😁 mum really enjoyed it too! Too bad she didn't get to do the cruise though as that was in a second part of our trip when we returned to Shanghai before going to Cambodia but mum and dad returned to NZ. Next time! 😁😉 Btw Happy New Year Charles 🥳 hope 2020 is an amazing year for you!

Visited this beautiful city last October, an awesome experience, loved the Bund --thanks for the show, look forward to visiting again Greetings from South Africa
Hello hello 👋😊 even though I was born in Shanghai we all live in New Zealand now. Every couple of years when we go to visit my auntie and grandma the city just impresses us all so much. Really cool place. Thanks for watching 👍
Thanks Franklin 👋 Shanghai is amazing! We were really fortunate and thankful we visited China last year and did a massive trip (a lot of it with our parents who are getting old now). Made many videos during our travels there in case you want to see more 👍 Have a great weekend!
This seems to be a very interesting city, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
For a second I thought the shots at 7:30 were drone shots hahah Thanks for the recommendations for things to do in Shanghai! What a huge and fully packed city with so many awesome things to see and do.
Honestly most of the time when we go it's for the incredible food and family time haha but yea it's super cool to see how much and how fast the city keeps progressing 🏙️ their skyscrapers are so interesting and the cityscape changed drastically in just a few years!
That's awesome to hear Andre! It's a really cool city 😁 next week we have a things to know before going to China video which you may find helpful too 🙂 thanks for dropping us a comment 😁🙌

Another excellent video guys. The river cruise looked spectacular alright. I can imagine :- going there around sunset and getting to see the lights coming on, in such a magnificent setting. If I should ever return to Shanghai, I'd love to go on it. It's good that you've captured it in your video.
Ya if you ever go back again that'll be a cool cruise to take Dad.. maybe even more buildings by then to add to the already incredible cityscape! Can you guess which one of us is writing this message to you Dad? 😁

Awesome video! Beautiful view of the Bund at night. Feel that Shanghai is not too overwhelming compared to other parts of China, what do you think? Seems it is easier to go around and more tourist friendly. ;p
Shanghai is an interesting place with modernity seen all around us. As an English Speaker I would say that China offers an interesting perspective for westerners out there. Getting a Visa costs about 50 US Dollars per Applicant put there.
Awesome guide - Yu Yuan Gardens in particular at night is beautiful when it's all lit up and walking along the Bund is always nice despite how packed it can get 😅
We later found they actually have an entire clothing line too and they do something special to some of the clothes to make it smell just like the candy! When we sniffed it we were like 😮🤩
Happy new year Nani! 🙂 Hope you had a great Xmas too 😁 Shanghai is a full on mega metropolis and filled with heaps of traditional buildings too. Awesome mix of old and new 🙂
Hi! Will be going to shanghai next month around Feb 21-26, what will be the weather during that time? What do you recommend for us to bring/pack? Thanks! ☺️
Hiya Sarah 👋🙂 how exciting! Late Feb it's still pretty cold and can be wet too. Usually around something like 3-10 degrees Celsius so definitely wanna still have warm jackets!
Btw we made a video about Things to know before traveling to China in case you want to check it out 🙂👍 ua-cam.com/video/tD1NVTQMCWc/v-deo.html Hope you find it useful! 🙂
I've never been to China. Helmi's been to China long time ago like 20yrs ago LOL. I think I will love Shanghai coz it looks modern especially in the Bund area. Helmi would love the shopping and museum😆
So cool to go back to your birth place. Shanghai is on our list for sure. $900,000?!!! Whoaaa Very interesting to see the mix of architecture. Tianzifang would be a must for us. I (Maria) would go crazy. We had ice cream made with that candy!!!! The urban planning there is so impressive. And that model is so cool. The cruise is something we definitively want to do. The views!
Loved Shanghai. My favourite part was definitely walking along the Bund. Couldn't help but start humming the famous "Shanghai grand" song as I was strolling. Thinking bout all the history from those old chinese triad movies haha
Heya Te ngu 👋🙂 how have you been? Happy Easter! Oh my goodness hahahah that's awesome you know Shanghai Grand! Such a classic 😁👍 Those old Chinese movies were 🔥 The bund is rather spectacular ❤️ Hope you're well and keeping safe!
Huangpu cruise seems really worth! Yen's romantic standard is really high, you need to try harder Peter 😂 You both are too cute!! Love the episode guys! 😍
Hahaha thanks guys!! ❤😁 Lolll I dunno what it is but every time Peter says something is romantic it comes out so funny and cheesy that I can't handle it 😂😂
It's quite an amazing place. Hopefully when the world eventually returns to some form of "normality" more people will discover the beauty of Shanghai too 👍
Got my visa and was all ready to go to Shanghai (was scheduled to fly out in two weeks), but looks like it will have to be another day... flight was cancelled. More importantly, I hope things will get better soon for the people in China... heavy heart for what they are going through right now😢 Thank you again for all the tips and information... it’ll be put to good use hopefully sooner than later. Hope all your friends and family in China are okay...
Aw no that sux your flight and trip got cancelled but might be for the better for now while they try get the whole virus more under control especially since it sounds like it's hard to get out of certain parts of China too and some countries like Australia even temporarily banning flights from China 😕 Thank you for the concern, our family and friends in China are doing fine! Everyone is just being cautious. Hope you'll eventually get the chance to go when things are cleared and under control!
Peter and Yen Wow... I’m sure many other countries will do the same in the coming days. Glad to hear your family and friends are well. Be safe in your travels, and thank you~
The population in Shanghai is quite diverse;you have people there from Chinese peasant workers all the way up to American billionaires, which is really incredible.
Rn so really good to go to some of the crowded places if ur brave enough, cuz right now the corona virus has scared a lot of the people from these places.
Hey there! Good job with the video. I live in Shanghai for almost 2 years now and need to admit, it's a really amazing mix between old&new Glad you were able to show all the best spots for newcomers! I am making some videos about spots in Shanghai too, if you would like to check it out :) Cheers from China!
foreigners were also over that bridge, hongkou was also part of the foreign settlement. the chinese city was the old town, where yu gardens is located. although you wouldn't know it, the history has been stripped from that place.
Love the lights at night. The British and French architecture is really pretty though. That bridge history reminds me of the Mexico wall, asking them to pay and build their own wall, oh well... politics 🙁 Whoaaaa that's one huge bottle opener 😆 I would love to visit the museum 😄 that's a lot of white rabbit goodies!! 😍
So pretty with all the lights and sparkliness ay! Yea pretty stink history huh.. apparently there use to be a sign that said something like no dogs or Chinese allowed at some public park in Shanghai under the foreign concession which must feel so insulting especially in your own country @.@ glad that's all in the past though and the city has been booming and thriving! Haha ya I went a bit nuts buying the white rabbit products as gifts lolll ending up getting so many 😂
Hahaha thanks Tony 😂👍 yea Shanghai is a really cool city. The food is 🤤🤤 and it's so modern but then you turn a street and it's like old and traditional. Also more foreigner friendly than some other cities in China for sure especially in terms of ease of getting around and about 🙂👍 that model of the city was so cool.. we saw one in Xi'an and thought that was impressive then we saw this one in Shanghai and was like yeah nah that blows it out of the water lolll 😆🏙️
Was definitely affordable and a good way to get around. We often used Didi rider though especially when with both sets of our parents around 🙂 next week we have a things to know before going to China video which hopefully you guys will find useful for your trip! 😉👍
This video has picked the right spots but the hosts are speaking in a rush. You know, like reciting the scripts. For those people who doesn't know Shanghai already, it is difficult to feel the beauty out. I suggest to split the Video into several parts and go more details on each part. For example, how good is the Xiaolong Bao. Maybe you can make include snippet of enjoying eating them.
Hahaha can't wait for that! 😂👍 I'm pretty sure you'd own him though. His family always says he sounds like a 3 yr old when he speaks Shanghainese 😂 Lolll I showed Peter your other message and I asked this is Tina ay? And he was like mmm.. nah that's Andy, sounds like Andy 😆 already lost there 😂
Peter why did you decide to leave China at only 3 years old? You’re so adventurous! Just kidding 😃 I’m going to Shanghai next month for about the tenth time. But it’s so huge I’ve only seen a little. The first time I was overwhelmed. I always stay in the Nanjing West Road area because I like it and I’m familiar with it
Hey James 👋 happy new year! Hahaha traveler since young eh 😆😂 So awesome you're going back to Shanghai again! I bet there's heaps of places you could recommend too 👍 Nanjing Lu is a cool shopping district. Much like other places in Asia but I think the best store there is their Nike shop. Insanely modern with the coolest basketball court in the middle of the shop. Yea Shanghai is massive ay! We're jealous of all the good food you'll be eating again soon 😁 Have an awesome time!
Peter and Yen I told you in another message I’m staying near Jing An temple. I like Nanjing West Road. Not so crazy about Nanjing East Road. Second time in Shanghai I was the victim of scammers. They like to target tourists. But your videos are all positive and I like that

Hello my new friend..nice your video..very good at your vlog...great at this place..very entertaining..tanks for sharing..🙏salam
Educational
We try to cram a bunch of facts in these 👍😁
Awesome video! Beautiful view of the Bund at night. Feel that Shanghai is not too overwhelming compared to other parts of China, what do you think? Seems it is easier to go around and more tourist friendly. ;p
Yea definitely agree 👍 Shanghai is great and not as overwhelming as some other parts of China. It's def a lot more foreigner friendly! 😁
Shanghai is an interesting place with modernity seen all around us.
As an English Speaker I would say that China offers an interesting perspective for westerners out there.
Getting a Visa costs about 50 US Dollars per Applicant put there.
dropping u some love. Greetings from the desert.
That mammoth tusk looks really neat. Can't believe they've carved it.
Yea! Amazing they found it and the detail that was in the carvings 😯
Awesome guide - Yu Yuan Gardens in particular at night is beautiful when it's all lit up and walking along the Bund is always nice despite how packed it can get 😅
Bund wasn't too bad when we were there luckily. Or maybe we were just used to the insane crowds after Xi'an and Beijing hahaha
Love you!
😊❤✌
Shanghai is a very big and also beautiful City 💝 Super good Tips and wonderful Video 💝
Thank you Yvonne 😁🙌 glad you enjoyed it!
White rabbit candy!
Wowww there is even skincare products of it 😲
Very interesting!
We later found they actually have an entire clothing line too and they do something special to some of the clothes to make it smell just like the candy! When we sniffed it we were like 😮🤩
Brilliant...
😁🙏❤️
Hey guys! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 💖🎉
Shanghai looks beautiful! And there’s just so so much history here 😱
Happy new year Nani! 🙂 Hope you had a great Xmas too 😁 Shanghai is a full on mega metropolis and filled with heaps of traditional buildings too. Awesome mix of old and new 🙂
Thankyou so much....
Thank you Missy! 🙂🧡
Btw we made a video about Things to know before traveling to China in case you want to check it out 🙂👍

Hope you find it useful! 🙂
Good show friend.. Nice to meet you. I am from Indonesia 🇮🇩
Hi Ifkan! 👋🙂 Thank you and glad you enjoyed our video 😁🙌
I've never been to China. Helmi's been to China long time ago like 20yrs ago LOL. I think I will love Shanghai coz it looks modern especially in the Bund area. Helmi would love the shopping and museum😆
Haha sounds like a great holiday destination for you both then in that case 😁👍 the best thing though... The food!! 🤤🤤
My parents come from Shanghai and I’m born in New Zealand there both beautiful country’s
The views!
Haha yea gotta be baller to get that mammoth tusk 😂 you'd love Shanghai Maria, big shopping scene there! Ooo how did that ice cream taste??
I just love walking in the street and night market...hey yen your so pretty
Aw thank you so much, you're very kind 🥰 btw totally agree! Walking around at night with all the pretty lights.. so awesome! I love it too ☺️❤️
@@PeterandYen your welcome 😊
Good
Thanks! :)
Cool you got to walk down where your pops used to work! Hustling that soy sauce
It was really cool! We were trying to find the exact shop or spot but he couldn't place it coz it's just changed so much since his childhood days!
Really advanced city. Is really amazing as compared to NK.
Shanghai is incredible 👍
❤😁 Lolll I dunno what it is but every time Peter says something is romantic it comes out so funny and cheesy that I can't handle it 😂😂
this is an amazing place!.. the red button is activated and i hope you come by soon!
The opportunities in the Shanghai market are bright, and you can stay in Shanghai to develop your career.
It's quite an amazing place. Hopefully when the world eventually returns to some form of "normality" more people will discover the beauty of Shanghai too 👍
Visiting shanghai this march :)
How exciting!! Hope you have an amazing time 🙂👍
Peter and Yen thank you :)
Oh wow.. just read that even NZ is banning travellers from China too 😧
Peter and Yen Wow... I’m sure many other countries will do the same in the coming days. Glad to hear your family and friends are well. Be safe in your travels, and thank you~
Very nice vid. I will sub and follow you :)
Thank you and welcome to our channel 😁👋
Thx mate :)
Where should we stay?
My suggestion, add more lighting at night time shooting.
The population in Shanghai is quite diverse;you have people there from Chinese peasant workers all the way up to American billionaires, which is really incredible.
Rn so really good to go to some of the crowded places if ur brave enough, cuz right now the corona virus has scared a lot of the people from these places.
Hmmmm this is true 🤔 guess that's a good tip for those who are willing to risk it
Hey there! Good job with the video. I live in Shanghai for almost 2 years now and need to admit, it's a really amazing mix between old&new Glad you were able to show all the best spots for newcomers! I am making some videos about spots in Shanghai too, if you would like to check it out :)
Cheers from China!
I just checked out your channel. Look nice, I subscribe ! ! Good luck and stay safe during virus ! !
foreigners were also over that bridge, hongkou was also part of the foreign settlement. the chinese city was the old town, where yu gardens is located. although you wouldn't know it, the history has been stripped from that place.
Haha ya I went a bit nuts buying the white rabbit products as gifts lolll ending up getting so many 😂
Amazing History, we love it guys! Wow $18 a month... the struggle aye. You see any fobs there? lol jokes... That life size model of the city, dope as!
Wow Mammoth task for USD900K 🤯 just wondering why is it not in the museum but up for sale 😗
Haha coz it's a baller shop and city 😂 they out to get the moolah 😂
Transportation seems to be very affordable
Was definitely affordable and a good way to get around. We often used Didi rider though especially when with both sets of our parents around 🙂 next week we have a things to know before going to China video which hopefully you guys will find useful for your trip! 😉👍
@@PeterandYen that's awesome! Can't wait to watch
Are you guys going anywhere else aside from Shanghai? How long are you planning on staying? I'm so excited for you both haha 😁
@@PeterandYen just Shanghai and total of 6 days !! We are sooo looking forward to that trip 😍😍😍
Peter, Do you know shanghainese dialect?
He only knows the super basics but his listening is ok 😁👍
@@PeterandYen Same here (Tina). I'll have a Shanghainese battle/talk off with Peter when we finally get around to meeting you guys one of these days!
Just kidding 😃
I’m going to Shanghai next month for about the tenth time. But it’s so huge I’ve only seen a little. The first time I was overwhelmed. I always stay in the Nanjing West Road area because I like it and I’m familiar with it
Hey James 👋 happy new year! Hahaha traveler since young eh 😆😂
So awesome you're going back to Shanghai again!
But your videos are all positive and I like that
Aw man sucks you were the victim of scammers! Yea as a tourist always gotta have guard up just in case ay?
Thanks James! It's always cool to hear that people enjoy our videos 🙂👍💕
