I'm 63yrs old. This is by far the best presentation of mid 1950's Ford I've ever seen. Car Crap/Scat and Hot Nod-zzzz magazines have never showed this many Ford Fairlanes and Mercurys in 46 years. EVER! Thank you so much for this display.

Thx man! Glad you liked the video. Thats some kind words. Here in Sweden where I live there is a great American classic car culture with many very fine cars that people care about and put alot of time and money in.

Had no idea that our Swedish friends have such affection for Vintage US cars generally, and 55-56 Fords specifically. I had a '56 Vic hotrod in my youth. Loved that car. Thanks to all of you for sharing your love of this classic styling. Henry Ford would be proud. How often do you get together? Someone should do a more detailed documentary. This nice video above only scratches the surface. Must be many wonderful stories about how these cars were acquired-- and restored. F O R D -- First On Race Day

Thank you! And thx for your story! In Sweden we have a big love for old american cars especially the 50s and 60s cars but in generall all the classic US cars with a v8 engine is popular :) This meeting that is for the 54 , 55 and 56 fords are one time a year but in the most Swedish cities there are multiple crusings every year for entusiast cars with the most of the cars are classic US cars with V8 engines. My dad also had a 56 ford victoria hard top in his youth I believe it was back in 1969 - 1970 and in 2016 he bought another 56 hardtop. You can se that car here in the video. It is a baby blue on tone car standing at the far right side at the end. That car I also have moore videos of on my youtube chanel. Yes a agree it would be nice if some professional tv team made a documentary of this meeting!

@@CarsAndMotorcycles Thanks for your reply. I am amazed. Did not really know there was such a reservoir of appreciation for these old cars. I still love these mid-50's American cars. For your information, the biggest disappointment of my years of car ownership was when I got back from three years overseas in the US Peace Corps in 1980 only to discover that the white 4-door Volvo station wagon that my sister bought new in 1966 and promised to sell to me upon my return had been sold to someone else. It was a 4-cylinder with standard transmission. It was solid and dependable. I knew someone who once had a Volvo with more than 300,000 miles on it. He loved his Volvo! Hats off to our Swedish friends!

My first car in 1963 was a 1955 Ford two-door Victoria. It was the cheaper version without the over the roof Crown. It had a 368 Lincoln engine and push button Merc-o-Matic transmission swapped in. I paid $400 and wish I still had it, but cars weren't worth anything then.

I once made a list of every car I've owned. Today most are worth huge dollar$. In 1967 I worked for a VW dealership where I everyday drove a transporter bus with the two-piece split windshield, 23 windows wrapped around it, and bus-long sliding leather roof top. Because it was our "shop truck" I took customers to & from work & home (including an Army General). Because VW's parts network wasn't yet that big the dealerships traded parts. There was a highway bus every hour so I ran boxes to & from the terminal several times a day. By "quick lock" taking the center seat out I hauled whole engines to the machine shop. We beat the living hell out of it. Driver before me laid it on its side. Today, a 1955 transporter bus just like it but in perfect condition went for US$300,000 at auction.

Geez, no wonder I can't find a crown vic in California, they're all in Sweden. How the hell did they all end up over there ? I had a 56 with the glass top and I'd love to have it back, but it's probably in Sweden now huh. Oh well, maybe some day.

If you check out my videos a have some more cruising videos from Sweden... The 56 with glas top are realy nice cars and they cost some serious money. Good luck finding one!
