Bass has massively bloomed since I was a kid, Largely because (IMO) of pioneers like Burton, Entwistle, Lee, Butler, Harris, Claypool, and many others. They inspired, innovated and pushed the boundaries of what the bass was and could become. 🤘🏻

Neck, bridge, both pickups together...and then with some overdrive (ts9 would be perfect if you happen to have one around...that should be instant ride the lightning sound)...just a short video showcasing the tones and features...very unique and rare bass, it would be great to finally see it demonstrated :)

@@kellogc Thats cool. I guess the most biggest difference is the bodysize. I have never seen 4001 in real life but body always looks little bit bigger than what 4003 has. Does that 4001 have stereo option? Rick brought it back for 4003 (mostly i think it is just a gimmick) but it is there. They call it Rick-O-Sound today.
I always liked how Cliff found a way to play Bass in Metallica when honestly most of their stuff its hard to find space to play "Bass" but instead follow the guitar. What's even worse Rob will double James and not play Cliff or Jason's Bass parts and it just absolutely stinks up the entire song.
