The other night I had pocket Aces I put in a large raise, the guy next to me says “I’m gonna crack your overcards” and called it. The flop is Q 7 7 he goes all in, I don’t believe him so I call and he turns over 5 7 offsuit. I wasn’t even angry I was just stupefied.

@@robinhood9128 Obviously, but most of the time top pair is good enough to go on, and on a board with 2 7's he specifically needs a 7 which is unlikely when i raised so big.
He could have have hit the queen and just shoved hoping to steal the pot while he's ahead.

Sounds to me like the opponent has this player pegged as playing high pairs or AK so he gave the shot about breaking his over cards to get the exact response he got. Bite the bullet and fold your aces to an all in.

    good content! Thank you.
    .
As for hand #2: 54d, on 6Kd7s flop you need strategy how to get out of trouble in case you missed all draws?? A pair of K with decent kicker is not folding in small stakes never mind what pressure you put on them. So: it's either (winning small) or (loose large) . (if we hit our hand, i.e. flush comes on turn/river, opponent is going to fold his pair of K easily. And we win small. If we miss it, he'll call our bluffs easily, i.e. we're losing large). You see what I mean.
What's your strategy to cheaply get out of this trouble?

Yeah I agree that Ace plus whatever suited and any kind of suited connectors (or J 9 and the like as shown here) are all very good hands to play. In fact, if you are going to clean up and even get a big stack in a tournament, you actually MUST hit these hands. Getting AA or KK or whatever is obviously rare and you can sit there like a stump waiting for it and get blinded out or just play junk and hope to get lucky. Making hands with these kind of okay with potential starting hands is really where you want to be. You get these kinds of hands way more often, and if you hit them, as the video says you can crush everyone and win a massive pot. Yes, you do not hit them also often, but at least it gives you some hand to play and get into pots with lots of potential and outs. Plus, if you wait for super hands like AA or Ak people catch on pretty quick and know you are tight.
If you dont hit them you fold them after fourth street and you are not too deep. But the video is right you want to get in cheap and try to hit on the flop and if you do not hit it, as long as it is cheap, no biggie.

I was dealt A 3 clubs...flop showed 5c 10c jd...Ifigured since I had the nuts and already had 4 clubs, there was a great chance that I would take the hand. OP bet, I called...turn 7h...OP bet, Icalled...river Kc...OP raised, I raised and took the pot, OP got mad...called me a fish! I thought it was reasonable, maybe should have raised more, but knew I may not get my club, so played tight. OP had 2 pair. Your #4 hand to play backed up my thinking though I may have played it so so. I love your method of showing us how to play, you get right to the point, not a lot of confusing probabilities or math...lol! I am getting better, but still a sort of insecure player. I will keep watching!

Eliminated all 3, then won the heads up battle quickly. As the song says, every band's a winner and every band's a loser (EV competes with That!.
