    Are you winning yet as a poker beginner? If not, what is holding back? For a much deeper dive on my Flop, Turn and River strategy check out this video I made: ua-cam.com/video/-mWsXEf_lQQ/v-deo.html

      But what do you think about getting "the idiot end of the straight" with hands like this? 02:58 I still play them in position with caution or even raise preflop then bet when it's checked especially when I have a draw. My only concern is getting the worst end of the straight.

    The video I needed.
    But I got a suggestion. I noticed that - like many people meme about on your channel - that your advice repeats yourself every few videos.
    Personally I'd find it really helpful and entertaining, if you did a video/playlist where you play some online rounds of poker and explain your thought process so your viewers can see your advice in life action without it getting to repetitive since your hands and opponents always will do different things :)
    Thank you for your guides

    Haha - this is certainly not the ONLY poker beginner video that I will ever need. Top tip is to "never stop studying" - I will watch these videos weekly, just so that the lessons sink in. Every time I have a bad day, I will go back to the videos, and work out what went wrong. 🙂

    hey man, love your videos. Quick question. At 13:58 after the turn if they check and I raise then they call what happens/what should I do? If after the river, they check again. I’m now afraid that if I raise they’re going to call me even though I have nothing can you please further explain? Thank you so much. Your videos are very helpful.

    I'm down 140 against my friends and I did what you said in the vid for the most part. If Im in the big or small blind and I'm already in for a dollar and someone raises a dollar do I call even if its not one of the hands shown. 5 player game btw

    How do they have a 24% chance on that flop? My calculations tell me they have a 20% chance. So they're roughly a 5to:21 not a 4:to21

    It seems I always get beat with pocket pairs unless I get AA/KK/QQ. Either I miss the flop, or an overcard drops and they bet into me strongly. It seems my pocket pairs are always getting crushed.

      @CaseyFahey Місяць тому +1

      The question is not "how to stop losing with AA;" the question is to understand that AA (like every other hand) will win sometimes and lose sometimes - winning poker is to understand this and to play in a profitable way accordingly.

    Your charts exclude suited connectors - why?

    • @BlackRain79Poker
      @BlackRain79Poker  Місяць тому

      For total beginners I usually advise them to avoid most suited connectors as these hands can get you in difficult spots. But as you get more experience, I would definitely recommended playing more suited connectors.

    You must be aware that in 6Max you play against 'an' oppponent with 5 times chances
    to have a better hand. When 4 folds and one is left then this hand can often be best of 5. Is not the same to play heads up play against only one player.

  • @paulfletcher4709

    First you say play your suited A’s in the graphic A2 A4 then your chart contradicts that by saying you should fold the very same hands ?!

      @@T4m1R I think he is referring to the 9 player chart, the on screen graphic excludes A4s, A3s, A2s from hands to play.

    • @BlackRain79Poker

      I mean honestly at the very lowest limits this strategy can be effective. But as you move up the stakes you need to learn a bit more in order to compete.

  • @michaelsullivan4466

    I can't agree with his raise every time with premium hand strategy. In low stakes poker you're getting looked up. And when the Flop comes down and it's garbage they know you missed. In low stakes poker you're pretty flop raise is getting five or six calls. And your Ace King is meaningless against 52 when the guy who pairs the two won't fold

      It's difficult, but it can be done at stakes like 10c/25c online.
