Surprised not a single mention of Ollie Watkins for Week 5 captaincy? Seems the clearest choice to me, and an easy swap for Isak if you have at least 0.5 itb
I have mentioned Watkins in previous videos, but I probably should’ve talked about him here. I do discuss my reasons against him in today’s video though, check out the Rogers & Duran sections.
No need to WC. The conviction you have to consider Palmer vs Salah is enough not to WC. Salah does like this. He blanks occassionally, unlike a Watkins who keeps ticking along. What do you think of Son as Captaincy choice?
On the face of it my team might not look like it needs a wildcard, but there’s about 4 different issues that all need solving which I discuss in today’s release. I haven’t watched much of Spurs so far this season, but if you don’t have Salah I think he’s one of the better options for captaincy in GW5.
Another great review Steve!. Especially liked the emphasis on Isaks eye. I have since removed him instantly. Wise for the WC. I'm still not as brave, largely due to your own previous take on saving it 😊
Thanks mate! 👊 I’d love to hold onto the WC but my team needs it, check out the wildcard team I’m running with in my latest release which includes why I decided to click the button.
Well Steve. At least you had Halaand! My non-Halaand team rec'd a right kicking with Salah blanking. 39 pts all in with a rank of 1.5m. Still better than a lot of content creators! My only returns were Raya, Saka & Smith-Rowe. Getting Halaand in sooner rather than later is basically essential, but it still feels like this is not the week to do it and any triggering of the WC should be delayed for another week. I share many of your issues. Munoz - Waste. Of. Space. Palace defence is rubbish and he's offering nothing in attack. Palmer - 10.5m for a player starved of service or being shunted out to the right wing!! Joao Pedro - I typically avoid South Americans. His Brazil call up was always going to be bad news. Despite the value he offers, I won't be keeping him. Isak - many sold him. I was hoping he would punish them after Liverpool's blank. But no. Newcastle were poor and he only makes it to HT. Also replaced Mykolenko with Rico Lewis. I should've known better.
Oof, I’ve been on the wrong side of Haaland hauls so I totally understand the pain & frustration. 🙈 No surprises he’s still in my wildcard team this week. Munoz, Palmer & Isak are also all gone on the wildcard amongst the 9 changes I'm making. But, I am holding Joao Pedro through.
WC players to target? Defs: Gabriel to go with Raya. Moreno at Forest. Mids: Semenyo. Mbeumo, tho could the injury to Wissa inpact his output? Hold Saka. No Salah in favour of squad balance. Forwards: Mateta. Solanke. Watkins. Halaand. Will prob hold Wood and pick Halaand plus one of those 3
They triple marked palmer, which left a lot of space out for sancho, i think the longer the season goes team will realize they cant mark him like that, especially when enzo plays. Chelsea have too many dangerous players around to do that, hopefully that was only one off game
Given Disasi wasn’t stepping forward out of defence, Cucurella was pegged back due to Semenyo, and that both Caicedo and Veiga held their deep DM positions, Wolves had 2 spare defenders during Chelsea's rare attacking moves.
As an Eze owner, a huge appeal for owning him is that he is on penalties and now that he's sharing them with Mateta its a bit of a head ache, he's still a fantastic option moving forward so I'm happy to hold him, however it does diminish his appeal as an fpl asset slightly moving forward🙃
I was stoked when Palace got the penalty as that would’ve been my green arrow last week, seeing Mateta step up was pretty frustrating. I discuss the decision between holding & dropping Eze on my wildcard in today’s video. 👀
I'm on WC6 despite my team not looking great for GW5. I want triple Arsenal for 6 onwards and not this week. Worth enduring another painful week for me I think. Sold Gabriel and Saka for a hit last week (to Dunk and Salah, partly for Salah captain this week) and I need to see the plan through.
I did a bit of analysis on why I chose not to delay my wildcard until GW6 in the video I just released. Oof, Gabriel & Saka out for a hit is a bit rough mate, seeing that plan through makes sense assuming the rest of your team is well placed.
I have activated my wc this week because i have Isak and mykolenko injuries in addition to this i had Muniz ,Quansah and Johnson(ipswich) who have not worked out. with this i will be able to take 3 transfers through after the wc
Only having 2 returns in your whole team is incredibly unlucky. I only had 2 as well being haaland (c) and Gabriel and luckily only got a small red arrow. We go again next week. Would it also be possible to turn up the volume of your voice on your end, as I often watch while cooking and struggle to hear sometimes
Many managers were in the same boat this week given all the major assets blanked apart from Haaland, the Arsenal defence & Watkins. Ha, I often cook and clean with POD’s playing in the background too, but I’m sorry mate, my microphone volume is pretty much maxed out. Hope you’ve got some wireless headphones. 🎧

02:08 Palmer vs. Salah
11:47 Time to wildcard?
I find your views unaffected by creator crowd behavior and your decisions are well argued and original. Well done.
Thanks mate, I appreciate your kind words. 👊
Great video. Yeah GW4 was one of those low scoring GW's.

@@GKneeIssYT I watched and it looks good. With the isak injury I quickly.moved to mbeumo dropping winks but with a cheap forward.

Haha, Gabriel, Semenyo, Mbeumo are all in alongside Haaland, Salah & Saka (well Saka in GW6).

@@GKneeIssYT yeah enzo out was a big problem, veiga couldn't occupy the 10 position in attack

@@ballosar Yes, you can do it from this season
I’m also wildcarding this week with Isak being one of the key factors. Muniz, Quansah & Johnson would have me clicking the button too.
