If memory serves, this opening was only used on FRIDAYS--and not every Friday. This clip is from the FRIDAY, Jan. 15, 1988 episode. The terrorist truck bomb at the World Trade Center occurred on FRIDAY, Feb. 26, 1993 or 1,869 days after 1/15/88. Sep. 11, 2001 was 4,988 days after 1/15/88, but the 88 end of 4,988 is unrelated to the year 1988
While I'm not arrogant enough to label this tidbit, "prescient", I couldn't help but notice the YELLOW theme in the band section. Bassist Sid McGinnis, I think, is noted for his YELLOW guitars. Since he was born in PITTSBURGH (10-06-49), he may well be paying tribute to the NFL Steelers, a team inspiring intense loyalty.
