He got a reputation for being a wet blanket or killing the fun if he felt left out. It wasn't every show - but the way people talk about him you'd think it was. Listen to Opie and Jimmy fight compilations. The old show was incredible. Homeless shopping spree and Sex for Sam are radio gold. Look those up.
