I enjoy these review videos but i think they would benefit from being shorter and having more skating woven into the voice over to keep it interesting. Keep up the good work though love your vids!
I'm a usually a Size US 12 and didn't buy the 5th's originally because I didn't think they came in my size since the largest size was 10.5. I later saw a sizing chart comparison between the m12 and the 5ths. A size 10.5 5th Element is actually a little bigger than a size 12 m12. So I got them. I really like the 5th Elements. Though, I need to put a tiny heel raise in there some how to help pull my toe back so I don't jam it constantly. The intuition liners allow that to work easily with the attachable shock absorber. I did ride them stock pre-liner exchange and really loved them. The toe jam was bearable for maybe a session or two, but it wouldn't be good ongoing. I really like the old valo soul plates so that made me feel at home, and the skate as a whole was amazing stock. Also about the wheels. I completely agree, they seemed slower, but I'm not sure of the stock bearings have anything to do with that. Wheels definitely can be slower as I have the White GoProject wheels and omg... I literally can't do anything in them because they just absorb and stick to the ground. It's like rolling against duct tape, glue, velcro or something.
I have the red 5th elements in a us9 and my foot is wide and I feel the support is great. And I like the extra weight because it helps me balance on grinds that's just my opinion as I just started skating again
Man I would have loved to have these new school soles on my skates in the late 90s I think back then the K2 fatty and Argons has the biggest natural sole without a sole plate.... pretty dope

I’m thinking about getting back into some light aggressive skating (some small jumps and basic grinds [my favorites being soul/royal/unity/backslide/topside soul]). I still inline skate often, but it’s more urban/recreational style instead of rails and airs..... I first started inline skating in 1992 and got my first pair of aggressive skates in 1996 (Tarmac CEs). I loved those skates and want to find a contemporary skate that is more like that. I had the chance to try a pair of fifth element skates from the early 2000s (I think the model was from 2003?), but found them too heavy and the frame too low. Any advice for finding a decent pair of aggressive skates around the $200 range (US)?

Just got a pair of these, think i may have got a size too small as they feel tight. Luckily roces shells are duel sized so should be able to get a size up liner and be all good ordered a uk8 reign v3 see how we go. Awesome skates 👍

There seems to be a trend going back to retro skates. Is this just a stylistic trend or are there functional advantages moving back to older skate designs.
You can go to China, buy old moulds, modify them a bit and start a skate company and sell pricepoint skates. That's why Julio did it (and there is nothing wrong with that, because the skates simply work). Roces didn't really go back to the M12s, they just never stopped producing them. Why they went with an updated 5th for their new skate, i'm not sure (but I understand why they came out with a skate that fits wider). I don't know exactly how the whole mould making process works and if they just modified the old moulds or something. If they did just modify the old moulds, then they most likely went that way because it was a cheaper option than coming up with a new design and new moulds. Other than these two companies, I can't think of anyone else that went back to using old moulds. (Also while the moulds might be older, the updated soulplates make a massive difference IMO)

If you're having to pull your laces so tight that you're pulling out eyelets you may have slimmer feet and it's a fitment issue. Try wearing a thicker pair of socks when wearing them.

J D that’s how my usd aeons felt. I threw the shell in the oven to soften up the plastic and I stretched it out. After that it felt so so good.

i hate how the souls are engineered around a very old boot. its just a big mass of plastic that weighs it down and is very redundant
