    Dharti,
I have been watching your videos since I started nursing school. Now, I am starting my MSN program while I work as an RN on a geriatric psych unit. If it wasn’t for you, I don’t think I would have made it this far. So thank you for your help

Nurse Practitioner exams won't bother you or be a problem if you work with someone like MRS CATHERINA ALISON .. She's God sent, she saved me from taking the test for the 3rd time

Mrs Catherina is obviously the best, i studied her questions and answers just in 5 days and I passed, the materials she provided was exactly the questions I saw on my test day

Telehealth is good, but if you have the full schedule you need to stay financially solvent, you may be in the house with your baby or dog, but you won't be able to interact much with them. The dog will be staring you down, etc. The pay can be lower, too, and no benefits, so stick with the on site work that allows some telehealth.

Are you familiar with Dr. Elaine Aron's genetic temperament discovery of the Highly Sensitive Person? If not her work specifically, considering a more sensitive temperament (also tend to be more empathetic), being in this field already, do you believe being a psych NP can be mostly positive or negative?

I wish I could chat with you. I am currently a acute dialysis technician, but I am considering being a psych NP. I am so close to getting started, but I don’t know if I am mentally and emotionally strong enough for this kind of career. I know people can be incredibly unique, especially when you work in the medical field. It gives me great joy to motivate, comfort and of course help people. There is a great need for mental health professionals and I definitely want to be a part of that. Although I am a bit worried to go so far and then all of a sudden my patients are intimidating or just scary. The patients you work with do actually want help, right? Can you please give me some advice?

What are your thoughts on working outpatient 3 weeks and then inpatient consults for 1 week of the month as well as covering for inpatient psychiatrists who currently dont get vacation due to lack of providers available?

When going to become Psych NP after nursing school do you recommend completely focusing on school or working while completing school

Thanks for the video. I just got employed with an outpatient company, and I'm stating very soon. Do you have any resources, textbooks, or apps you can recommend for quick reference for diagnosis and prescribing medication.

Hi, thank you for reaching out and for the support. I would always recommend the basics like the dsm 5, stahls essential psychopharm and Stahls prescriber guide. I always recommend our psych e-binder in my description especially for new grads, which has pretty much everything you need to get started and refer to. I hope that helps

Although I am still about a year and a half away from my first PMHNP job, I learned a lot from this video. Private practice is my ultimate goal, what would be a good type of place for me to start and get prepared for my own practice?

God bless

I dont understand why people become np which is the same responsibility of a doctor with less title and pay or licensed lpn said job as RN less title and pay why dose people short change themselves with tittle the healthcare field wwill do that enough to you. Every hosptal have psych dept and everyone is hirer with hospital assignment hospital is good at putting per-diem agencies medical staff there on a hospital schedule theres no one hospital better then another they all have screw up ive lived and worked worked 12 hospitals in ny i also took assignment at john Hopkins and maryland university hospital in baltimore my licensed as nurse assistant/patient associate tech never had pressure put on me to do my job cause i did do it cause i loved it especially in the er my main unit. Start losing interests when i start being assign to other units psych i quite at 4 am refuse to be their punching bag hate being locked in make sure you know what you want in the field volunteer in there while attending your classes you owe yourself that dont be sorry later.Have a bless one.
