When building one and having trouble figuring out how to get the Crew Cabin, body, & Ramp just Right, i learned the Set Designers of ROTJ had the same problem, especially with the 7 foot tall Vader, so the Actual Built Shuttle does have different dimensions than the miniature in the movie.((Very end of the Video You mention it too. Great Job!!))
I've loved this ship for 40 years and you're the first person to explain why it's called the Lamda Class. It's hilarious how simple, Like A,X, or Y, just didn't know the Latin alphabet. Thank You!!
If I could own and operate any SW ship, this would be it. The elegance of the folding wings and the ability to make dramatic entrances down the boarding ramp are unsurpassed! My second choice would be the TIE Interceptor.
The intro to Star Wars: Rebellion features the shuttle prominently whether you choose the Empire or Rebellion. I bought three of the die cast shuttles to have one open for the memories, one for storage as new, and one for a gifting. It's an icon for the saga. Which reminds me I should dust off my lamb or llama shuttle.
The nose doesn’t actually move on the Lambda shuttle, its position is just inconsistent between the original filming miniature and ground set. It would be cool if it did, though!
I plan to make one about that! I might wait until TBB Season 3 comes out, though. I also have a video listing all the Greek letter shuttles in the works too.
What an excellent compilation of information. The way that you pronounced Nien Numb is different than I have ever heard, is there a source that you got this from (did any Bothans die to bring this information)? I am curious because so many other words were pronounced the same as I have heard, leading me to believe the difference was intentional. Either way, thanks for a good video I subscribed.
It’s spelled “Nien Nunb” like Numb with an N instead of an M, so I figured that’s how it was pronounced. I don’t know if that’s actually correct though.
I didn’t say it was two variants, I said the set didn’t match the filming miniature. To my knowledge, the cockpit has never been depicted swiveling (though that would be a cool feature!).

I’m glad I could teach you something even after being a fan of it for so long!
@RadioFreeCoruscant Fun fact, one appears in an episode of the Firefly tv show.
@@nateharder2286 I miss that show!
Great job 👍. I had a model of this shuttle when I was a kid. I kept it for a long time, before I gave it away .

I'm very pro Empire but liked anyway. Don't tell ISB.
One of my all-time favourite ships of the Star Wars universe. That was excellent!
Thanks!

A good ship to take the children to school, or for a weekend getaway to Nal Hutta.
Even Luke Skywalker had a toy lambda. He was playing with it when C3PO was having his oil bath.
Long live the Empire!
I keep hearing about a rear firing cannon, but it definitely used to be a proton torpedo launcher.
Could be swappable
I’ve been trying to get meta nerdz to drop a video on the lamda class thank u for dropping a video
Oh wow, I didn’t realize he hasn’t made one. Glad you liked mine!
Its an honor itself just to be a passenger of that vehicle.
Wonder if the nose drooping is related to the IRL Concorde passenger jet's similar feature. The timing works out.
I’ve never thought about that, would be super cool if that was the case! Pretty fitting, too, to be fair

Awesome mate 👍
define "drastically different" ;-)
Well done I think I'll subscribe
Would love to see a video about the Omicron class attack shuttle, the type as used by the Bad Batch
I plan to make one about that! I might wait until TBB Season 3 comes out, though. I also have a video listing all the Greek letter shuttles in the works too.
Just Subscribed. Great Video. Definitely checking out other Ship vids.

@@RadioFreeCoruscant I like it. I halways thought that Nien would rhyme with mean, but you made it two syllables and I like the sound.
Cygnus.
Lombs go Baaah baaah baaah
dude. the cockpit swivels it's not two variants

Bro continuously pronounced it Lombda instead of LAMBda
I’m pretty sure I’ve heard it pronounced this way in Star Wars a couple times, but maybe not.
@@RadioFreeCoruscant I heard LAMbda not Lombda.
Ahhh it’s not real …..do you understand that?
Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
