This worked on my e208 as the fob had stopped working for some reason. Many thanks

This worked like a charm on a Citroën Grand C4 Picasso (I kept the lock key pressed for 10 sec). The garage had made a firmware update but then only the key fob they used was working to unlock the car. After this procedure, the other key fob worked too.

Just got my 2008 back fully serviced and out of the blue the key started malfunctioning, didn't recognise the car so I had use the key manually to open its door . Who would have thought a brand new car would have so many little problems like this.
I love these cars but I am started to think that I might have been wrong.
However my Peugeot was powered down for a couple of weeks or so at the workshop, might be the reason 🤔
Anyways very helpful video, keep up the good work.

To anyone else still having issues; check that the positive pole in the fob battery compartment is not bent, It's VERY easy to accidentally bend it down when inserting a new battery. That's what happened to me. Bending it back up again before installing the new battery resolved my issue.

I've got a Peugeot 3008 (2018 model year) & one of my key fobs now needs a battery replacement. Do I need to perform this reset after changing the battery or will it work OK by simply replacing the CR2032 battery? Many thanks.

    • @jsydev

No a quick battery change shouldn't be a problem. When it's been powered down for to long or had a firmware update then it tends to need resetting

Hiya, I followed your instruction and it still doesn't work. both fobs have new batteries, but it is still not unlocking remotely using the fobs. Just wondering I probably have to visit the garage? mine is EV E2008 (2020)

my 3008 had a update at the garage and since then only one of the keys works. Its a automatic keyless entry. When i get in the car with the broken key it says key not detected so I had to turn the engine on having the working key with me also once on i held the lock button but still no joy any other ideas? I put a fresh battery in the broken key and also swapped over the battery from the working key but still no good. grrrrr!

      @shaun159 2 роки тому

@@fadijubran1692 yes i got it sorted couple attempts but followed instructions on manual page 59 Reinitialising the remote
      control and that worked
      Version with Keyless Entry and
      Starting
Place the mechanical key (integral with the
remote control) in the lock to unlock your
      vehicle.
Place the electronic key against the back-up
reader on the steering column and hold it
there until the ignition is switched on.
With a manual gearbox, place the gear
lever in neutral then fully depress the clutch
      pedal.
F With an automatic gearbox, select position
P, then firmly press the brake pedal.
F Switch on the ignition by pressing the
      "START/STOP" button.
The electronic key is now fully operational

@@shaun159 it's page 63 in my manual.. page 59 is if u have a key slot on the steering column. If u don't, it's 63.
Just remove the little mat in the center console where u have control for seat warming, then just place the fob in the hole under the mat. Turn on ignition, turn it off. Remove fob. Then u are done!

It should work for both or not work for both. So very strange it work for one thing and not the other. I would try taking the battery out and leave it for a day. Which should effectively work as a reboot. Then reinitialise the key and try again.

There is a hidden key in the key fob. At the top where it connects to your keyring there is a small plastic latch. Slide it to the left and the top right hand side slides up ... that your key ... Great A!!!!!!

    • @jsydev

Sounds like a dead battery in the key.
It does need to identify a key to be able to reinitialise it.

Can the car be ignited without having a battery in the key? It’s just makes no sense that the car would start only with your fob and need a working battery in the key!!

    • @jsydev
      @jsydev  7 місяців тому +2

You can start the car with a flat battery in your key fob by holding the key in a particular place.
I can't think of the exact location at the moment.
But I think it's by the Dials for the heated seats. if you left out the rubber matting ( use your fingernails or a small screwdriver).
You'll see a hole that you push the key fob into. Then the car will start .
