I prefer 00 grade grease over the #2, #2 is like peanut butter, it doesn’t move once applied, but 00 does so the gears are in constant contact with grease, flows much better, but isn’t too thin and watery that it will cause excess wear, 00 is actually recommended for small gearboxes as well, so it makes more sense to apply it to these polishers.
Hey Ivan and Pan just used gold standard to just get extra gloss, great stuff worked perfect. Did this to my polisher when I bought it, the old grease was nasty and not enough. It runs smooth. You two are some of the best out there.
This video is fantastic!! I actually did a video on this awhile back-I was so proud of myself for being able to take a polisher apart and put it back together (taking things apart and putting them back together has never been my strong point lol) You and Yvan make such a great team!!!
Hey Pan, I just bought a new Griot's G8 mini polisher. They say they use mobilux ™ high performance gear grease. Would you suggest I change out that grease for a Lucas White Lithium grease?

Great video great info!! I have a cordless Milwaukee rotary that stopped working! I didn't have a lot of hours of use do you have any idea why it stopped working? Thanks for the great video!!
I have done this before with my Maxshine, because there is like a vaseline weak looking product inside. I use red bearing grease and clean all of their grease out.
Pan your last video rubbed A LOT of people the wrong way. Hopefully someone in your corner gave you some advice to help you realize every move you make from here on out could be detrimental to this channel. I would have waited a few more days for the dust to settle but to each their own. I'd take a break from the CLEAN and Detail. Co content until people can actually buy it and until those that did actually receive actually receive their stuff.
Pan, this an outstanding video. You have Mr. Yvan the living walking encyclopedia of car detailing. Thank you for showing us how to take of our equipment from someone who knows about it. 💪💯
I warned you about the product videos brother. You even responded to me and assured you would not change. I hate to say this, but i definitely told you so
Hey Pan, hope you are enjoying your vacation . I received an email saying that my CLEAN products were shipping!! I know they will be great. I’m looking to purchase a polisher with a 2in and a 3in backing plate ( at least a 3inch). I really don’t have a preference if it’s cordless or not. I prefer not to spend over $150 but it seems like the ones I like on line are around $250and up . Any recommendations? Thank you
Ah thanks man! I appreciate that feedback Jason. We’re always trying to give some education combined with keeping our audience entertained along the way! 🙏🏻💪🏻
@PanTheOrganizer: I also have the "Liquid Elements T4000" polisher. When I changed the grease I recognized that the nut securing the tooth wheel on the motor shaft was loose. I can highly recommend to add a spring washer (like i did) to secure the nut from getting loose. There is enough space for it. For tightening the nut I had to take the rotor out of the case to be able to hold it. Grabbing the fan for tightening I would not recommend because it's plastic and you might break off the air blades. For inserting the rotor again you have to push/pull back the brushes. Therefore you have to pull back the springs which push in the brushes and keep the springs pulled back by using for example a short nail shoved under the spring from one side of the brushes door to the other.
I have a DA Porter Cable 7335 that I have used for at least 25 years. I pulled it out and took the mounting pad off. No further work available. The counter-weights are held in place by some device I haven't seen before. That is as far as I could get.
Hi Pan!! Great to see you! I’m hoping the port workers strike in the USA doesn’t affect your new CLEAN products deliveries overseas. Cool video on machine polisher maintenance. :) Hi Yvan!! I just discovered it IS possible to respect you even more. Very interesting video. I never planned on taking my DA apart, but now I might. :)
Pan, I know you've taken a lot of heat this past week or so, and I hope it will die down soon. I just wanted to share a quick note with you that I tried your rinseless for the first time tonight and it absolutely blew me away. I've been s hardcore rinseless user since 2018, and I've tried nearly every one on the market. My previous favorites were Hero, Rrw and Absolute...but I think you just changed the game. I need to do some more side by side testing with other favorites, but the combination of cleaning power and slickness was extremely impressive. I also love the soft and slick feel left behind, that is going to make it my go to for maintenance washes...so long as it goes away after a day or two like you said (and I have no reason to not believe you). Thank you for creating such a great product! Side note: I tested it side by side against Eddie's rinseless wash. Nemesis is great, but it's got nothing on CLEAN Rinse-Less! I did run into a few problems with my order (about half of it was missing.) I only got the chemicals I ordered and not the tools/accessories. To Bev and Eddie's credit, Bev responded immediately to my email and let me know they were going to overnight the rest of my order and include a couple air freshener bars. Unfortunately it was already after hours for the warehouse, so I'm probably going to have to wait until Tuesday for the rest of my order. I will say that I hope the warehouse can improve their packaging over time. I know this is the same warehouse that DIY uses, and I've had nothing but problems with shipments from there. Multiple bottles damaged and leaking, damaged boxes, etc. The single ply boxes and very inadequate box fill causes a lot of problems. I know UPS isn't exactly easy on packages, but the shipment experience has been a real let down (with DIY and now THOR). Compared to the standard set by places like The Rag Company and Obsessed Garage, they have some work to do. I know THOR is your exclusive distributor right now (and Matt is probably not going to want to carry them because he is a hard guy to please), but I hope you will consider selling through other companies in the future; Car Supplies Warehouse, The Rag Company (if you can get them on board), or Detailed Image would be great options.
Thanks for the tremendous feedback Jeff! First, I’m glad to hear about your experience with my CLEAN Rinse-Less Wash. Now you saw firsthand what I have been seeing during all these months of testing. It’s an absolute cleaning monster all while offering great lubrication and that awesome slick feel at the end of the towel drying process. And yeah it doesn’t leave anything stout behind, nothing that cures on the surface. Just the way I wanted it. And did you smell the scent? It’s so good! That and my shampoo are likely my two favourite scents in my line. For the shipping, that’s out of my control unfortunately, but I always relay viewer feedback to THOR for sure. There are things even out of their control (like shipping from warehouse to people’s homes with UPS or FedEx, and at that point that’s usually when the issues with shipping happen. But you should give your written feedback to THOR as they likely take notes on common issues and I know Eddie and Jamie take their business very seriously. So thanks for all this feedback and now you know that if you try anything else in my lineup, you will absolutely love it! Thaanks for your support Jeff! 🙌🏻💪🏻👍🏻
The scent is on point, pineapple something? My nose is a little off due to the overpowering smell of Detail Co Nemesis that I was also testing (not a big fan of that scent.) I got wash #2 under my belt today on my coated car, but my opinion is unchanged...you frickin nailed it with this one! Did half of it again with yours and Nemesis/Hero on the other half. I'll wash it again next week. If there is no change to the hydrophobics, I'm making the switch to CLEAN. Rinse-Less for all of my maintenance washes.
I archived this video for future reference. I bought some of those great Chinese polishers and some Lucas white lithium. Watch your brushes as well. Thanks Pan and Yvan.
Thank you I’ve had many Polishers from the Flex Polishers to Mitas to Dewalt and a lot of flex machines. I do have. I just ordered a Rupus rotary Polisher and I’ve never had such a noisy Polisher with a terrible wine so I’m gonna take this apart and put in a good different type of a grease. I hope that quiet it down. I’m quite disappointed with a rotary noisy.
All NGLI2 greases are not compatible! They are the same thickness but can use different thickener agents to thicken the grease that are not compatible causing issues like caking of the grease.
Having repaired power tools for decades it’s not an issue. In a high pressure environment I agree, but with the low demand on the grease in a polisher it’s not really a concern.
Hi Pan, what everyone is really looking for, but can never seem to find a good video on, is: Which spray product (Detailer) best hides the swirls on the paint? Best regards, Daniel
Not many products do that, as most people want to use true paint correction to correct the defects instead of masking them. But there is a quick detailer that fits the bill if that’s what you want. See my SEMA video from two years ago and watch the part about the Meguiar’s products, you’ll even see a demo. ;) Here’s the video: ua-cam.com/video/uDz7ZHxSFaE/v-deo.htmlsi=h1fLdTyMCzNNGGcY Let me know if that’s what you want. Here’s the direct link to the product: amzn.to/3QCW9b0
Totally makes sense on greasing your tools. I guess I never thought about it being serviceable. I knew the brushes needed changed but nothing past that. Thanks both for the tips and tricks. It would be nice if some brands would make a unit that was switchable to left handed trigger lock.
The efficiency and power gains that brushless motors provide in cordless tools is useless on a corded tool that runs on 120v or 220v. Brushless tools with cords are very rare, I think only Festool makes a few.
For anyone interested, the current design of the Griots G9 can’t be serviced this way. The gear case is held together by inaccessible screws, not the ones holding the shroud to the case. The backing plate also comes off differently (it simply threads in).
Hi during the current period when you are in a somewhat limbo, I was wondering if you could get a guest in to do small stone chip/ scratch touchups followed up with using your new products.
The video was removed. After reading the feedback in the comments, there were a lot of people that were saying that I should not have included my line of products and the ones from Detail Co in the awards, as they are new to the market and not tested by the public yet. When it was time to start prepping for the awards video, I asked myself the question: “Should I include my own products or not?” And I had decided to include them, because in my heart of hearts I knew how good they were since I had spent so much time on R&D and testing. I had also been able to test a few Detail Co products ahead of launch to share my feedback with the owners, and I really enjoyed them. Hence why they were also included. As people start receiving their orders and start testing, I am confident that independent reviews will show that my products perform to a very high level. I’ll let the products speak for themselves. I want to thank everyone for their continued support of the CLEAN By Pan The Organizer launch of car care products!
@@PanTheOrganizer I personally think you were right to include your products. If you didn't, then people would have said that you don't believe in them. Either way, they would have never been satisfied. If it is available, then test it.
All, can we all please help each other. There is no good coming from negativity comments. Pan have done an upstanding job on helping me and all on how should wash our car and what chemicals are safe to protect the car paint and the products so you and I don’t have to work too much and have the best results. Thanks so much Jorge!! Well said. I appreciate all my positive minded viewers like you. People should never have to go to name calling and being nasty for chemical detailing products. We’re not saving the world here. All we want is to clean our cars and enjoy the process!! Thanks for the good vibes Jorge!! 👍🏻👍🏻
Agree, 1,000,000%!!! Pan is an AWESOME auto detailing instructor, UA-camr and human being! I don't know him personally, but I know that I've contacted MANY a UA-cam detailer with FAR FEWER subscribers than Pan and Pan has STILL ANSWERED my questions!! As far as Pan rating his products as the BEST, I've no doubt that they are, and I'm definitely getting to support him and buy some of them!! I ❤❤❤ the Pan the Organizer channel and have learned MORE from him than ANY other detailer!!
I wanted to apologize for not thanking Ivan as well. He did a great job explaining everything and I will be dping my polishers this weekend. Thank you Ivan !
Great video guys. Ive noticed my newish Shinemate corded DA sounds a little noisy/dry when you take your finger off the trigger and it has just about stopped spinning. Looks like I'll be checking the grease tomorrow. The manual suggests a particular brand and type of grease and that its changed every few hundred hours from memory. Mine has only seen 20 to 30 hours, so maybe its a little low on grease. I know someone with the same machine as me and he's done over 1000 hours without changing the grease. He actually contacted the manfacturer asking if it was necessary to do so and they told him not to worry about it, even though the manual says to chsnge it. Weird. They must want him to buy another one.
When are the products for the US going to be available again? Also, I can’t find the video with the 2024 product awards . Would love to try the products and just just wanted to say you’re doing a good job. 👍🏻
Thanks for the show of support. Much appreciated! You won’t regret trying them. In fact if you try one, you’ll likely want all of them hehe. All existing orders I am told pretty much have shipped out or by end of this week. Another wave of restock coming next week too. We are shipping massive amounts to the UK, Europe and Australia and Japan too so hopefully all countries will soon have plenty of stock. Thanks to everyone for their patience! Chemists have been working 12-16 hr shifts and no days off to try and make fresh batches to cope with demand.
I agree with everything said here except for the mixing of two different greases. The original grease should have been removed and then add the super lube in due to the fact you don’t know what the thickener agent used in both greases are the same. Using two different greases with different thickening agents can cause problems like caking of the grease which is not good .
@@greghoskin1726Shinemate uses a good NLGI-2 grease, in that case no issues, but from an unknown source, better to change it completely like we did in the LI machine.
Ivan, being a millwright for decades I know that low pressure or high pressure applications would not matter. What matters if you mix two greases with incompatible thickening agents you will have caking issues meaning the grease will clump together and not lubricate .
Great tutorial. However, there is a rather big difference in greases. In a polisher, it likely won't matter, but for other applications the red grease and even different brands will withstand higher pressures and temperature ranges. In a bearing for example, i would never use the white lithium. Same goes for bearings. While they may all meet the ABEC3 specifications, some brands have more ball bearings within the cage. (Even the high end brands go cheap on bearing grease.)
The gear case in a polisher is low stress for grease. All the greases here are lithium based ( Lucas Red & Tacky is a lithium based grease as well) . The white lithium greases have zinc oxide added to them to better lubricate under light to moderate loads.
@@PanTheOrganizer Zero. I wondered about weird noises and it got a bit smelly at longer work times. I just checked as Yvan opened yours in the Video and my jaw dropped how this can happen.
Eddie is very influential despite his low subscriber count. You’ll notice the common denominator in the videos is the old guy with the beard. To me this is important information for people to learn.
Pan is great and I plan to buy his products whenever they come back in stock. However, to avoid the mess from the removed "2024 Products" video, he should have just said at the beginning, "I obviously think my products are the best in their categories, but I will not be including them in this video for bias reasons and thus the products I will be presenting are what I believe to be the next best". Its true and understandable, and doesnt take away from his products or the competing brands. Small hiccup in this new journey, he will be fine and the audience will get over it in a week or so haha. Keep it up!
Great vid guys, thanks! @diydetailofficial @pantheorganizer , I just bought the LE polisher....not to mention a bottle of Gold Standard Polish and a couple other items, but due to the storm last weekend, I have to wait a bit before I'll be able to use them. But I was NOT expecting to find a DIY maintenance video on how to do this. Again, thanks for this.
@@PanTheOrganizer Just me, and I am blessed. I was home when it hit, was able to put all my stuff up out of the way of the flooding.....and the cars were spared anything falling on them, other than a few branches. Let me start by saying that I do not like DA polishers. This is largely a personal preference as I understand the appeal and usefulness of a DA. However, I was apprenticed on a rotary decades ago and it has been my experience that they just outperform a DA in every conceivable way. I don’t remember the rotary I started with but it was big and heavy. I then bought a DeWalt rotary and used it for a very long time until about a decade ago when I bought the Rupes rotary. I use the Rupes on a fairly consistent basis … probably 3-5 times a week. I replace the grease every other year. I have not had any issues with the Rupes since purchase. I have a Rupes DA and an Adam’s Swirl Killer DA that I received as gifts but I rarely use either, if ever. … why did I just rant about rotary? Weird. 😊😊😊
I read through your rant and aside from mentioning preference and apprenticeship. What are your reasons for not liking DA? Never polished but want to get in to it so I can do my first ceramic coating. Just wondering as more information will help me decide and learn.
@@colinbeckstrand2612I consider DA’s semi-controlled chaos. It’s an incredibly destructive process imo. I get better precision with rotary and it’s quicker. Rotaries are also less damaging to the user as they’re not moving about like DA’s do. Rotary is buttery smooth and gets the job done quickly. Basically, I feel like they got it right the first time around when rotaries came out. DA’s and forced rotation polishers are okay, I just get better results from rotary. This very well COULD be that I’m just not very good with DA’s. I’ve used rotary throughout my career and I’m probably hopelessly biased. 😊😊😊
I also prefer using a rotary, especially for finishing. The long stroke ( 25mm) DA with a purpose engineered pad will actually cut faster than a rotary. Nothing compares to the precision and smoothness of a Rotary.
Another great video from the 2 smartest and nicest guys in detailing. I coated my new Mazda Cx5 turbo, with the 46v Soul Red, using the C6 Hydro lite. I came out great, been 4 months and it looks amazing. I spent 3 days on the corrections and touch ups as this stunning red chips like a bitch. Now it is barely noticeable. I finished it with a rotary, Yvan style. Picked up the lake country pad washer and the shinemate eb 210 mini polisher in addition to my 15mm Milwaukee. I adopted Yvans polish method with stellar results. Pads seem to last forever. I always hated rain on my car but it’s cool to watch Hydro lite do it’s stuff. Can’t wait for the reviews on Pans new coatings. I have no reason to doubt Pan, everything he recommended has been a great product for me and my customers. Have a little faith guys or actually try them yourself and post a video review.
First thing I do with my Bauer DA polishers. Change the grease out and they run so much smoother and honestly work well for me for the price point and warranty. I do love the yellow

Hi Pan, I read the comments on this video talking about your previous video and how some were upset at you. I went back and watched it again and you were completely honest and shared as much as you could. If some people's feelings got hurt then too bad, nothing you said was negative or misleading. Too many people are so soft and sensitive too reality. Haters going to hate. Keep doing what you are doing. Your 1M plus subscribers love you and support you so don't let a few negative nellies bother you, forget them...
Thanks for the support! You have been a long time viewer and you know me very well by now. The majority of negative comments were coming from people I had never seen interacting with this community. As long as people share their opinions in a respectful manner, it’s all good. But I draw the line when some resort to bullying, name calling and pure harassment. That doesn’t respect UA-cam’s community guidelines. We need to be able to discuss as grown adults.
Amazing videos as always. And some of these critics I definitely question because they really really go out of their way to try to get under your skin. Almost to the point where you can tell it's a bunch of BS. Just keep putting out the good products. I have learned so much from you just in the past year.
Thanks man!! Yeah we are also slowly finding out many of the haters might be competitors with burner accounts or some employees working closely or loosely for such brands. The truth eventually always makes its way to the surface, so we’ll likely find out. One thing which was obvious is that many of the nasty hate comments were coming from people I have never seen interacting with my community in the comments. And all of a sudden they come out from the woodwork to give their opinion on my products, and yet haven’t even tested them yet? That was an immediate red flag. Very different for those who expressed their concern in a respectful manner. I’m all for freedom of speech as long as it stays civil. There is no need for name calling, belittling, abusing or harassing. No place for that bs in my community of positive minded viewers.

I’m looking to purchase a polisher with a 2in and a 3in backing plate ( at least a 3inch). I really don’t have a preference if it’s cordless or not. I prefer not to spend over $150 but it seems like the ones I like on line are around $250and up . Any recommendations? Thank you

Thanks for sharing!
Hi Yvan!! I just discovered it IS possible to respect you even more. Very interesting video. I never planned on taking my DA apart, but now I might. :)

Pan,
I know you've taken a lot of heat this past week or so, and I hope it will die down soon.
My nose is a little off due to the overpowering smell of Detail Co Nemesis that I was also testing (not a big fan of that scent.)
I got wash #2 under my belt today on my coated car, but my opinion is unchanged...you frickin nailed it with this one! Did half of it again with yours and Nemesis/Hero on the other half.
I'll wash it again next week. If there is no change to the hydrophobics, I'm making the switch to CLEAN. Rinse-Less for all of my maintenance washes.
I enjoyed this. I like both your channels.
Awesome! Thank you! Glad to hear that Jay, thanks for the feedback.

Great video. Can some in the know chime in with the best grease options for these type of machines?
Thank you I’ve had many Polishers from the Flex Polishers to Mitas to Dewalt and a lot of flex machines. I do have. I just ordered a Rupus rotary Polisher and I’ve never had such a noisy Polisher with a terrible wine so I’m gonna take this apart and put in a good different type of a grease. I hope that quiet it down. I’m quite disappointed with a rotary noisy.
Unfortunately the Rupes is a loud machine. In terms of a rotary they need to go back to the drawing board. Grease will not fix poor engineering.
See my SEMA video from two years ago and watch the part about the Meguiar’s products, you’ll even see a demo. ;)

Totally makes sense on greasing your tools. I guess I never thought about it being serviceable. I knew the brushes needed changed but nothing past that. Thanks both for the tips and tricks. It would be nice if some brands would make a unit that was switchable to left handed trigger lock.

So have a got it correct that the DA polisher from DIY detail machine is a brush motor? Why not a Brushless motor??? Isn't a Brushless motor better?
The efficiency and power gains that brushless motors provide in cordless tools is useless on a corded tool that runs on 120v or 220v. Brushless tools with cords are very rare, I think only Festool makes a few.
For anyone interested, the current design of the Griots G9 can’t be serviced this way. The gear case is held together by inaccessible screws, not the ones holding the shroud to the case. The backing plate also comes off differently (it simply threads in).
Good to know! Thanks for sharing that.
Isn’t one supposed to never mix different kind of greases?
I personally would avoid it. You often don't know what the factory grease is in these machines(some use NLGI 1 grease).
Hi during the current period when you are in a somewhat limbo, I was wondering if you could get a guest in to do small stone chip/ scratch touchups followed up with using your new products.

Hi Pan, I would have sworn that you posted a "2024 Best Products Awards" video but now it is gone. Did you take it down?
Yeah he did it got a lot of hate.
@@domingoluevano6985 Oh, why so?

Being a mechanical guy I agree with everything said here. Il use my lincoln grease gun for my larger vehicle's. Excellent video guy's!! 💪 🇨🇦
Thank you.
Thanks man!! Always fun times hanging out with Yvan!
Keep it tight! But not too tight since you’re screwing in aluminum 😂
True
😂😂😂😂
And i wondered why my ShineMate makes weird noises... They literally forgot to put Grease in before selling!
Omg! You opened it and there was zero grease?
@@PanTheOrganizer Zero. I wondered about weird noises and it got a bit smelly at longer work times. I just checked as Yvan opened yours in the Video and my jaw dropped how this can happen.

Thank you. Soul red is one of my favourite car colours.

Pan , I received my product today and I want to share with you a success story regarding customer service .
I ordered three bottles, upon arrival the box was wet and I knew at least one had leaked . Once opened , one bottled leaked and the other two were fine .
I sent an email to customer service and explained what happened. I did not attach any photos of the box so, I immediately sent a second email either the pictures.
I sent the 2nd email, then checked my NEW incoming mail. Customer service had already responded and confirmed a new bottle was on its way !!! I could not believe how fast the response time was 👍
Let’s go!! I’m super happy to hear that! I believe good customer service is so important and this right here made my day.
Enjoy the products!! 🙌🏻
Whoa. A different kind of maintenance video! Love it Pan!
Glad you liked it! Thank you! 🙏🏻
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
@@PanTheOrganizer Yes I have and totally agree... UA-cam Trolls...ignore them...
Amazing videos as always. And some of these critics I definitely question because they really really go out of their way to try to get under your skin. Almost to the point where you can tell it's a bunch of BS. Just keep putting out the good products. I have learned so much from you just in the past year.
Thank you.
CLEAN polisher in the future?
It already won first place!
Don’t listen to the critics Pan. Keep doing your thing. I only want to see CLEAN products moving forward haha. Keep it tight champ.
I appreciate that! Thanks Hernan!! 🙏🏻👍🏻💪🏻
